Our recent stay during the 4th of July week was extraordinary. From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with an immaculate, pristine space that was so clean it sparkled. Every inch of the cottage was thoughtfully organized, with a place for everything and everything in its place. I always have to bring my cleaning supplies and clean when I arrive at vacation homes; not this time. It was immaculate!
The amenities provided went above and beyond our expectations. The kitchen was fully stocked with high-quality appliances and utensils, making it a joy to prepare meals. The bathrooms were luxurious, complete with fluffy towels and nice toiletries. The bedrooms, with their plush bedding, offered a haven of comfort that guaranteed restful nights. We enjoyed some meals on the screen porch while watching gators float by.
What truly set this VRBO apart was its perfect location. Nestled in a lush landscape of palm trees the neighborhood is beautiful. We explored Charleston and Folley Beach all easy drives from Kiawah. The walk to the beach was easy and so peaceful. The community pool was clean as well. We saw deer, armadillos, sea turtles laying eggs, and beautiful birds.

Our Greenslake cottage was lovely. It was up to date with furnishings, clean, and was very roomy for 3 adults. The screen porch was an added bonus to play games at night and view wildlife. The property is so very quiet and the view on the porch was spectacular sitting on a lagoon.
Just to made guests aware...there was only AT&T u-verse....no netflix, Apple TV, Amazon Prime or any other platform capabilities. We were quite disappointed (but never thought to ask prior) as we were hoping to catch family movies at night. However, my husband found a Target and bought a Roku device and made our netflix work. So if you have this plan too, bring a roku device or firewire. We had a lovely time here!

We stayed here for an extended Memorial Day weekend. The owners gave very thorough instructions and information on the property, as well as recommendations for surrounding areas.
The cottage was very clean and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed eating our meals on the screened in porch. The beach and pool are just a quick bike ride away!

This was my second time staying at Jack's property, and it was just as cozy and clean as I remembered. The home is conveniently located a short drive from the eateries, shops, and grocery store at Freshfields. Jack also reached out before our arrival to help me locate the beach access parking lot for residents and guests (not the public lot at Beachwalker Park). I can't believe I drove past this lot on my prior visit. It's less than half a mile from the property, near Boardwalk 5.
The beds and couches were as comfortable as I remembered. The showers stayed warm. We also appreciated the Keurig, and the top of the line range/oven and fridge. We were sad to have to return home, but we hope to return again! Thank you, Jack!

Lovely home. Nicely furnished and stocked. Easy walk to pool and beach and not a bad walk to Freshfields. The pool wasn’t heated which would have been nice given cooler air temperature in March and April

The house was better than we imagined! Great location, clean and updated. Really enjoyed it and our time in Kiawah.

Wonderful place, well appointed, clean and spacious. Location was quiet and the screened in porch looking over the bayou was a delight. Communication with owner was the best I have experienced in all rentals I have rented. I highly recommend this lovely cottage on Kiawah Island.

I cannot say enough good about this place, and the experience with the owner from start to finish. The condo was super clean, updated inside and had everything we needed. The check-in process was perfectly described and very easy. Communication with the owner was outstanding.
There are a lot of condos for rent on Kiawah, and it’s difficult to distinguish the good ones from the mediocre ones by online photos and descriptions. We have stayed in many condos on the island and this one was easily the best.

Great property. This is one of the more updated properties we have rented. Perfect if you are a neat freak like I am. The place has everything you could need and it’s all nice and well kept. By the golf course and super close to the clubhouse if you want to grab food or drinks. You do have to drive to beach or ride bikes or it is a bit of a walk (too much stuff with little kids for us) but we didn’t mind. Definitely recommend bringing or renting bikes in general to get around.

The property was as listed. Comfortable and clean. Close to the grocery store and golf courses. Good mattress and bedding.
I am very picky, and would recommend.

This unit was close to the beach as well as the Cougar Point Golf course and clubhouse with restaurant. There was also a pathway to the beach. The place was the cleanest I have ever stayed and had ample pots/pans and plates. I would definitely stay here again.

The cottage is very nice, and it's only a short walk to the beach. It was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen has a lot of implements, and everything is in good working order. The development is also very convenient to a commercial area with a grocery, etc. Some of the shops and restaurants have limited hours, so be sure to check them before making a trip there. We really enjoyed our stay!

Kiawah Island is truly a special place, and Jack's lovely cottage served as our peaceful and picturesque home for nearly a week. We rested comfortably in a quiet, private neighborhood with back porch views of palm trees and a lagoon that were out of a post card. We celebrated a birthday and prepared a meal on the beautiful countertops in the open kitchen, and especially appreciated the modern stovetop. The king size mattress felt like sleeping on a cloud, and the shower had excellent water pressure. Simply put, the property was exactly as listed (if not better in person) and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, from Jack's helpful check-in instructions/local information to the seamless keyless entry and the clear check-out expectations.
Aside from the property itself, we appreciated the proximity to the beach. It was about a ten minute walk. We decided to try driving another day, which was about a five minute drive (basically three left turns). Parking at this time of the year was only $10, well worth the experience of spending a day at one of the finest beaches in the US.
We also appreciated the proximity to Freshfields Village, and I was grateful that we chose Jack's property in West Beach rather than another property in East Beach or elsewhere on the Island. We frequented the shops at the Village nearly every day, from groceries at Harris Teeter's to various coffee shops and eateries. Jack provided a helpful directory of the offerings and recommendations for restaurants elsewhere on the Island.
We also found the drive into Charleston quite convenient, and were able to spend a couple days downtown in the city without feeling too much of a commute back.
I highly recommend staying at this property for its cleanliness, comfort, and location. It's truly a wonderful place to relax and/or return to after a day at the beach or out in the city. We look forward to returning soon!

Nicely updated cottage. Close to the beach. Everything we needed to close out our summer. Owner was great with communication (clear and concise) and didn’t have unreasonable expectations for check out.

KIawah Vacation
Very nice vacation house. This home had everything we needed to be comfortable for our family of four. Easy access to the beach & pool as well as the bike trails. We enjoyed the layout of the open concept living-kitchen-dining area. Also enjoyed the screened in porch & deck. This was a very clean home.

Wonderful week in Kiawah
This two-bedroom, two-bathroom West Beach cottage was perfect for our needs. First off, it was clean when we arrived, which we both appreciated. And it was plenty large enough to accommodate my wife, our fifteen-month-old daughter, and me.
We enjoyed the updated kitchen and appliances--it made cooking meals very easy. We also enjoyed spending time on the screened-in porch overlooking the lagoon, especially when it was raining. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable (we didn't use the other bed), and the water pressure in the master shower was exceptional.
We appreciated that the kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, plates, utensils, coffee maker, trash bags, dish soap, etc. That made everything a lot easier.
The cottage had beach stuff available for use, including two chairs (we didn't use them, but they were available). They also had some beach toys for kids, which was a nice touch.
Proximity to the beach. We were happy with the proximity of the cottage to the beach. A few of our friends said we should rent bikes to ride to the beach and around the island, but we ended up just walking to the beach with our daughter in her stroller. The walk took about 12 minutes (I could have done it faster by myself without the stroller).
Location of the cottage. We liked being in West Beach. We had not stayed in Kiawah Island before, so we weren't sure whether it would be better to stay in East or West Beach. But for us, West Beach worked out perfectly because it was closer to the Kiawah front gate and to Freshfields (grocery store, retail shops, outdoor market, etc.). Also, if you're playing golf, the cottage is steps from the recently renovated Cougar Point club house.
Parking at the cottage was super easy, as was accessing the cottage. The electronic keypad made things much easier than dealing with keys.
Finally, the TV in the living room is new, and the cable works well.
We would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful retreat
My sister and I stayed here in March. It was exactly as pictured and the perfect spot to relax from an endless northern winter. So quiet and beautiful and so much to see and experience in this area. It was spotlessly clean and simply but tastefully put together. Other than a very small issue upon arrival - which Jack responded to immediately - there were no problems at all. Loved every minute of it and hoped to return!

Kiawah Cottage
Jack and Susan were great to work with. Quiet location, easy access to beach, nicely decorated. Bike Friendly neighborhood, nice neighbors, abundant wildlife in area. We enjoyed riding bikes to watch Dolphin Strand feeding at south end of island. Played golf, walked to Cougar Point next door. Great time and relaxing!

Sharing the Blessings
We brought my brother and sister in law to Kiawah for the first time and they loved it. I fall in love with it every time I visit. The home was a great location, nicely appointed and Jack was very responsive. Would definitely stay there again, hopefully longer. Kiawah has so much of God’s creation that brings joy and peace to so many people! Thank you for sharing your lovely home!
