About this house rental

Located just steps from the beach lifeguard on the horizon and a few pedal strokes of the marketplace and commerce, this architect villa of 220 m2 square area and has a garden of 1200m2.

At the pool, the annex allows for privacy in an authentic newly built cabin;

All services are top of the range and 5 rooms have their own bathroom while the other 2 each have direct access to the bathroom they share;

Parental -continued equipped with a 180cm bed, oversized desk, bathroom with bathtub and shower.
-The chamber 2 is equipped with a bed 160 cm, bathroom with bathtub and shower;
-room 3 and 4 have one with a bed 140 cm and the other 2 beds of 90cm can be grouped together to form a double bed and they share a bathroom with shower;
- Room 4 is equipped with a bed 140 cm and has a shower;
-The chamber 6 is equipped with a 90 cm bed and a trundle bed of 90cm and has its own shower room.
-The room 7 in the annex has two 90cm bed may constitute a bed 180 cm and has its own shower room.

The owner is very nice. For the price we paid though I have some comments. The house is good, homely and nicely decorated. It's located a short walking distance from the beach, which is great. The swimming pool and gardens are lovely! The owner have redone them this year. Kitchen and lounge are nice. However, all bedrooms and bathrooms are worn and tired. Bedsheets and general appearance of bedrooms was not great. All bedrooms and bathrooms need a refresh and updating. I would have expected to get clean bedsheets to change to included in the price as we stayed for 2 weeks. This was charged extra at a very high price. The basement room and the outside cottage room were smelling of mold. One person in our party tried to sleep in the basement room but felt sick waking up the next morning so we took the mattress and put it in a bedroom upstairs. The biggest problem though is the noisy location! ALL deliveries, workmen and most private traffic into Cap Ferret come past the house. And the either break or accelerate to or from the round about which is next to the house. It was not a relaxing environment. In addition neighbours were having major garden work done and the noise levels were terrible, both day and night.

We rented this house for a week and have nothing but amazing things to say about about our stay. The location is fantastic and the house itself is even more beautiful than the pictures on this listing. It is beautifully decorated, well appointed and very well maintained. The kitchen is fully stocked with every platter and place setting you might need. The outdoor space is equally charming with a pool and a beautiful garden. Again, the owner has thought of everything and there are loads of lounge chairs and sitting areas…a perfect place to relax and spend the day. In fact, it took us a couple of days to even get to the beach…that's how comfortable we were by the pool! Finally, it was such a pleasure coordinating our stay with the property owner. Laurence was extremely responsive and helpful, and gave us loads of tips on how best to enjoy the area. We certainly hope to be back for a future stay.
