Beautiful property lovingly maintained and dressed to a high standard. Everything thought of for your stay. The wood burner adds to the comfort with amazing forever changing views out of the lounge. I’m sure the decking will be fabulous bonus in the summer although we still enjoyed during our visit.

Another fabulous week at St Anthony’s. The views from the cottage are exceptional. Very clean and modern cottage. Our dogs love to roam around the garden. Ideal location for walks to Porlock and Bossington. The Bottom Ship does great meals and very friendly staff.

We had a wonderful weekend with friends celebrating my birthday. The property is really lovely and the spectacular views overlooking the sea and Porlock Weir from the large living room windows, were breathtaking. Very, very comfortable with everything you need and stylish touches everywhere. A definite cut-above your average place. We will be back - 100%. Highly recommended.

This unique little cottage is rather unassuming from the outside, and the first time we visited and I looked at the exterior I was a bit disappointed...........but that was short lived !
Open the front door and enter into a warm, cosy hallway with two bedrooms and your bathroom leading off. Both bedrooms are beautifully decorated , comfortable beds and sea views to boot !
But climb the stairs for the real “WOW” factor !
The wonderful , large open space incorporating lounge, dining area and kitchen is simply breathtaking .The huge picture windows, and sliding doors to the rear of the property overlook the sea with stunning panoramic views , it really does take your breath away.
If the weather is inclement it is no hardship to curl up on one of the comfy large leather sofas with a book and a cuppa and simply relax . I must admit that although I love reading, the sea was a wonderful distraction. I really can’t speak more highly of this little gem of a property.
There is everything there you could possibly need , and after a week staying there I feel relaxed and ready to face a few challenging issues at home.
Thank you to the owners and the staff of Best of Exmoor . Glad we found you and especially St Anthony’s Cottage .

We have stayed in many cottage rentals over the years and we found this gem to be the best.
Very peaceful with views to die for.
Very well equipped. We only used the one bedroom which was exceedingly comfortable.
Great base for exploring the Somerset coast.

What a lovely place to stay! Beautiful views from a warm room. It was pretty miserable weather whilst we were there but that was all made up for by the quality of the accommodation. It didn't really feel like a holiday home, rather, someone's home. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment; better that everywhere else we have been.We loved it. Thank you

We love this cottage the views out to see are amazing. Fabulous well kept garden. Great location lots of local walks on the doorstep. There are a small number of places to eat on the front which serve some great food at the coffee shop and Ziangs. There is also a pizzeria and a local pub serving food. Would highly recommend.

Brilliant, just brilliant. The cottage, the interior, the position and the view unbeatable. However because it’s an upside down house you use the stairs more so perhaps it may cause a minor problem to the infirm. We wanted to book again for next year but bookings aren’t open yet.

It has to be the view across Porlock Bay to Hurlstone Point during the day and the lights of South Wales at night from the upstairs lounge, accompanied by the ever-pervading sounds of the sea. The cottage itself was extremely well-equipped and comfortable. What more could you wish for?!

The location is amazing. Despite the rainy weather we experienced, it was great just admiring the view from the lounge. The electric blankets were much appreciated!

St Anthony’s is a terrific holiday property, a great upside down layout, very nicely and tastefully furnished, well equipped, an established garden and small orchard and a view to die for. The COVID19 measures were well explained and sensible. We would certainly stay her again if in the area and will strongly recommend it to friends.

You can't fault the view, it is out of this world. We spent most of our time just sitting watching the ever changing scenery. The cottage was lovely and clean and very well equipped. It was a slightly chilly weekend so the log burner a bonus. Our dog loved the big garden and we loved the 5 minute walk to the local pub. This is definitely the best cottage we have ever stayed in and highly recommend.

Another great stay in the very well equipped and finely situated St Anthony’s.
Secure garden much appreciated by our Golden Retriever - good outside taps and sink for cleaning boots and dogs when weather not so good.
New terrace gives a good outdoor space with lovely views of the garden.
Panoramic view of Porlock Bay from upstairs enabled us to watch the local oyster company harvesting and maintaining the oyster trestles ( they taste good as well ).
Already booked for 2020.

Great meals and atmosphere at the local pub - Bottom Ship. The open top bus ride from Porlock to Lynmouth was fantastic on a sunny day

It was our fourth time at St Anthony's. We love the cottage, the village and most of all the tranquillity. We come to Porlock to unwind from our busy lives and always go home feeling refreshed. We will be back next year.
