Brilliant stay.

Paradise Found, this is what heaven must look like. Beautiful rooms, staff, location, food, attention to detail, everything you could wish for. Wish we had booked longer!

Pleasant and refreshing time.

Unique experience with different choice of food Quality of food is very high Service is excellent

The TV provided in the room should not be encased under a highly reflective glass, the experience is very bad when watching TV with all those reflections from the lights in the room unless all are switched off completely. We can even see ourselves like in the mirror at certain lighting.

Outstanding resort with the MOST talented & kind staff to make it a trip of a lifetime

Outstanding!! Absolutely everything exceeds expectations. The transfer and checkin process left me feeling like a celebrity, all the staff are just out of this world, the food and all the complimentary snacks/drinks throughout the stay (esp the truffles in the room!), the buggies are always quick to get you around the resort, the variety of animals you get to see without much effort, the free watersports - the list is endless! And then after all this you walk down to the beach and get that one in a million view....! The spa massage was one of the best I've ever had and the restaurants were all exceptional

Wonderful stay with great staff and service, food in a wonderful resort.

It is remote in a national park. We didn’t mind at all but you need to be aware of it.

Everything is inside Datai. You don't have to step out for anything. The food was delicious. It is better than Ritz. Best beach in langkawi and there is no hotel or resort in 10km radius so it is very private. The breakfast spread is huge and the beds are so comfortable.

Booking of restaurants has to be done well in advance.

Everything; the beautiful surrounding, the hospitality received. This is by far the best resort I've stayed. If you're looking for peace and tranquility away from the busy city, here's the place.

Long weekend

Staff were excellent, beach was kept clean at all times, water sports were all free and beach bar cocktails good value for money

Need to have more buggy's available at beach club for going back to the main building

Have traveled a lot in Asia and stayed in Ritrz Carltons, Four Seasons etc and I rate this place the best luxury beach h

Beautiful peaceful location in the forest high above a stunning beach; good that is no ‘musak’ to disturb the peace except at breakfast. large well appointed room. great staff.

plastic and other rubbish being washed ashore on the otherwise pristine beach. The Datai are great in avoiding single use plastic in and around their property but need to advocate more on this in the wider community and address the source of the rubbish being washed ashore on the beach otherwise it will undermine the magic of this place. Music at breakfast could be a bit quieter.

The only one thing I would improve is for the adult pool to be colder, as it did seem like I was in a hot bath instead.

Very good

An important issue was not addressed namely that Booking.com and The Datai do not advertise correctly. We have been cgoing to the Datai since 2008 and whilst usually booking directly - had used Booking.com which confirmed our booking of a canopy room "overlooking the tropical landscape". As we had stayed in exactly such a room in 2022 on the first level which is the top level, we were very surprised the room was actually nearly all the way down on the 3rd level down. This false advertising really needs to change and has to be specific. The English language is quite clear so do not use overlooking the landscape if you there is no landscape to overlook on lower floors. We stil would like a confirmation that this is going to be followed up on.

Amazing service

Amazing service; staff were incredibly obliging and friendly. Breakfast was superb with great variety and high quality food. Beach was really lovely; private; with soft sand and the sea at the bay was calm to swim in.

Small yoga classes and infrequent during the high season.

The whole resort is absolutely beautiful. The greenery in the jungle, the flora and fauna. Extreme calmness and relaxation. Our beach villa was exceptional and majestic. Our butler Shan went above and beyond his duties. Always one step ahead. I can't begin to explain the wonderful service, the setting, the food and onen you cannot miss The Spa. The beach was warm and inviting. Please don't miss out on the restaurants at the resort. The walks around the resort are relaxing and watch out for the monkeys. This would have to have been the best getaway in Malaysia.

I found the staff at the restaurant for brekky were great. The only thing that was missing was Vegemite, however they went to the trouble to find a replacement very quickly, Marmite.
