Geheimtipp für alle Fujiliebhaber

Das Hotel hat eine einzigartig gute Lage im Ort Hirano, direkt am See Yamanakako. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Seebick und somit direktem Bick auf den Fuji, es war einzigartig. Die Zimmer sind japanisch, es wird auf Matten geschlafen und traditionellem Futonfußboden. Das Bad ist ein Gemeinschaftsbad (getrennt nach Mann und Frau - Männer auf der ersten Etage und Frauen auf der zweiten Etage), es ist sehr sauber. Es gab einen sehr herrlichen Empfang durch den Inhaber, es kann dort mit Visa bezahlt werden. Im Ort Hirano gibt es mitten drin eine Touristinformation mit einer sehr, sehr hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiterin, von hier kann sogar direkt nach Tokio mit dem Bus gefahren werden, das Ticket muss aber online gebucht werden, wegen Plätzen. Restaurants im Ort Hirano sind zu empfehlen für das Frühstück - Patisserie Haconiwa mit einer super Dachterrasse mit Blick auf den Fuji (mitten im Ort, neben der Touristinformation), dann für Lunch und Dinner 1. Charcoal Fire Japanese dining pub MARU - sensationelles japanisches Essen/ 2. Sugeez- sehr gute Burger, Waffeln

Das Hotel wirkte etwas unfertig.

Wonderful location and opportunity to sleep on tatami mats.

The host was a friendly family man with a very sweet dog! He was helpful throughout our stay. The location is very peaceful and quiet by the lake, and if you are facing the lake you can see the beautiful Mt Fuji! One of our favourite locations to stay at throughout our trip. The room was well kept and the beds/tatami mats were super comfortable!

It was a trek to get to the hotel from the local train station (almost an hour and a half bus ride). The bathroom facilities were average (only one toilet and two showers per gender). Only check in at 5pm :(

Great place with a view on Mt. Fuji and Yamanaka lake

Owner was very helpful and friendly, rooms are clean and quiet, great location, parking available. Also washing/drying machines available.

A bit pricey for a room with shared bathroom and showers, but the location was worth it.

The owner made sure I had everything I needed, speaks very good english and the view from the balcony/some of the rooms towards the lake and mt fuji is incredible, if youre lucky you can catch a sunrise! Also hot water, microwave and toasters available

Exceptional view, not so comfortable stay

The guest house is attractive mostly due to an exceptional, almost panoramic view of mount Fuji and Yamanaka-ko from the windows and balcony. It is also very close to the waterfront. Powerful AC.

The guest house is quite old with traces of wear and mold here and there. Possibly, it was much better a few years ago. There are also some strange small boxes spread around, possibly against the insects. It was very cold when we arrived. Fortunately, the powerful AC managed to heat up the room after some time. Some simple food-warming and tea facilities are available on the ground floor, but you always need to go there from the upper floors. The pillows were very uncomfortable and gave me a headache for the next day. Overall, the stay was not very comfortable, but the view excused a significant part of the inconvenience.

Only two shared toilets in this beaten up place

The building is in disrepair. At least the toilets are renovated. But there are only two toilets: first floor for men, and second floor for women. If your room is on the third floor, have fun walking up and down stairs when you need to use the toilet in the night. The fluorescent lights turn on with a sensor and blast you with blaring light when you are half asleep.

Peaceful and comfy

Kind and helpful staff, both in English and Japanese! Showers and toilet were very clean and comfortable. Amazing Japanese style room with a wonderful view and comfortable futon beds! Will suggest to friends and family visiting Yamanakako for sure!

Exceptional

The location was perfect to enjoy the scenery of Mt. Fuji. I could see Mt. Fuji with Yamanaka lake during sunset and sunrise from my window. The facilities inside the room was minimum but it didn't really matter. The owner was very nice, he gave us extra service for early check in due to bad weather and also helped us when we got lost. I really appreciate that. Plus they renovated the toilet, now it has washlet.

My travel partner prefer a softer pillow

We had fun. Lots of things to do around. You can go for a walk along the lake.

It's our second time staying here. Felt like home. Our 2-year d daughter enjoyed swimming in the lake every morning. My husband loved relaxing in the veranda.

We didnt see Red Fuji this year. We came Aug 19-24. We saw Red Fuji last year around the first or second week of August.

Very basic OK place in an expensive area

right by the lake, easy for convenience store and bus. Futon was comfortable, staff speaks English. It was the cheapest place in the area

the main problem was it was super cold inside! I went in winter but wearing 3 layers just to go to the toilet is a lot. The hotel is very basic, everything very old, stained bedding etc, there is hot water but no tea/ coffee or cups

It is very close to the lake. When you go out of the hotel, you have an amazing view of mount fuji (but horrible view from the window)

The smell in the room was quite bad. It was quite expensive compared to what you can find in kawaguchiko.

Red Fuji was so perfect, can see right through the windows. Can do a lot of activities around. Lake is just right in front of the ryokan. Breakfast was great, super yummy! They also gave us some local snacks which were great too. I think thats because we stayed for 6 nights. The owner was very nice!

We would love to stay here again. We have a 1 year old baby. She enjoyed moving around the room.

The owner helped with lots of things and gave us recommendations. Mt. Fuji is stunning. There are a lot of things to do around the ryokan, e.g. swan boat, canoeing, hiking, cycling, etc.

Not many restaurants around the area unless you have a car.

Nice find

Great location, right on the lake with a perfect view of Mt Fuji (weather permitting, of course). Shared bathrooms were very clean. Owner gave me a nice tour of the place and made sure that knew where everything that I needed was. It’s very close to a 7-11 for food.

Walls are a little thin, so you can easily hear other guests come and go.

Fabulous

Owner is very nice welcoming person. Speak sufficient English and can give advice about what to do or where to go nearby. Spacious room with traditional tatami and Futon bed. We enjoy the stay.

Overall cleanness is acceptable, building and furniture a bit old. We have not seen air conditioning but was not needed in September.
