We loved how well maintained and tranquil the property was. The two pools were also brilliant after a day on the beach. The air cons inside the units are a lifesaver!
Annelize and Johan were a pleasure to deal with. We hope to be back soon!

The serene settings, safety, and sleep in tented camps took us closer to nature. Restaurant meals were devine, swimming pools were clean and the staff was fantastic.
Everything was perfect for us.

Kingfisher Lodge is on a slight hill and comprises some covered tents around a central sitting/restaurant area with a pool. There is a fully equipped kitchen for every tent, and the facilities are in a separate building but also allocated to each tent - so, in fact, private bathrooms but not ensuite. The hosts were amiable and helpful. There is the possibility of having dinner at the site in the restaurant or finding a different spot while exploring the area. The hosts provide information about activities, try to arrange things if necessary and provide help in all circumstances. We were in a tight spot as our car ran out of battery, and we got a jumpstart that made us fly again! Thank you very much for this again! It saved the day!

Tents are very comfortable, shower pressure is amazing, kitchen well equipped for braaing and basic self catering. Good pillows, comfy beds and nice touches like scatter cushions.
Restaurant was a good place to sit and play board games on the day that it rained.
Not close to the main snorkelling beach (aquarium) or kayak tours but the only closer option is real camping so this is definitely worth the 30min drive!
Nowhere to sit inside except the dining table benches but that didn't matter to use as we were out and about most of the time.

Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure you not only enjoy your stay with them, but in Kosibay.
We left very early on our return trip, and they packed us the most amazing breakfast for the road.
Only issue we had was that the bracket that holds the shower head, was broken. Otherwise, everything else was perfect.

Luxury tents comfortable the basic tents were basic. Great food at the restaurant. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Loved the owls! We had a really enjoyable week stay, with so much to do around the area.
Poor storage in the basic tent. Be prepared to share ablution and kitchen facilities when staying in basic tents. 1 mattress in our luxury tent was abit tired. Weather was cold, and the place is definitely designed around warm weather, will have to return in warmer weather. Will put family all together next time. We were split between luxury and basic due to availability, which was a pain.

Quaint... rustic and simple. Friendly staff and good service.
Needs some TLC. Shower nozzle was broken but repaired the next day. The luxury tents are situated very close together. Not well equipped... needs a sharp knife and wine glasses are too small. Happy to have basic facilities but they didn't quite get all the basics right.

I booked the 2 bedroom tented chalet. It was very comfortable for my family of 4. The 2 en-suite bathrooms were convenient and clean. The chalet was well equipped with everything. The hosts were very welcoming, accommodating, and always available to assist us. Breakfast was delicious.
Everything was perfect.

Lighting could be improved.
We loved it. Especially the hornbills waking us up !

We just spent one night on our way to Ponto do Ouro, was easy to find and a lovely tranquil setting. We stayed in the tents and even though communal ablutions we had our own one. We were on a B&B rate and the breakfast was definitely worth it. Also had our dinner from the resort which was lovely. We would definitely stay again and hopefully for an extra night or two

So quiet and restful! Very responsive staff ready to help with anything and everything. Lovely little restaurant with nice options made to order.
A bit of dust in the nooks and crannies, but we would return and stay longer in a heartbeat!

View of the dam which made it very relaxing. Staff were accommodating
Would have been good to possibly have folding chairs, or similar, to sit out on patio which overlooks dam.

Beautiful rooms. Helpful and gracious host. Great meals. Cold beers! Lovely outdoor area - rustic but with charm. Spotted amazing bird life from our tent overlooking the water. Enjoyed 4x4 experience in the area.

Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Frank was always ready to help and advise. Beautifully decorated tents and little kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Plus a aircon and ceiling fan to keep it nice and cool.
Maybe a little more attention to cleaning. Dusty and spiderwebs around the bed and stain on duvet cover and scatter cushions on bed. But overall a lovely place to stay. We would definitely be back soon
