La gentillesse de l'hôte. Le petit déjeuner exceptionnel, tout est fait maison, pain, confitures et gâteaux.
Les escaliers trop nombreux et les craquements de la maison la nuit.

The lady that hosted us was so kind and went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. She also made us a very nice breakfast in the morning.

Characterful property. Very spacious and comfortable bed. Loved the breakfast room in another property. Bright and airy and full of old country pots, pans, measuring jugs etc etc. On every shelf there was something interesting. Obviously the host is a collector. Breakfast was good, fruit, cereals, bread, jam, cakes, meats and cheeses.
Coffee machine at breakfast was too slow for the number of guests. Also all guests seem to arrive together, which caused a bit of queueing.

It's a lovely little village, very authentic and so is the accomodation. The owner is very hospitable. Breakfast was fantastic. Highly recommended.
The apartment was very nice. Breakfast was great. Town itself.

Like a step back in time. Maria was a wonderful host and provided a great insight into the old town. A little hidden gem off the N2 route.

Good breakfast. Charming houses.
Our expectation was that houses were all close and around a pool. In fact they are far apart and share one remote small pool.

The breakfast was very nice, with fresh bread and homemade compotes. It was a quiet peaceful place with not a lot in its surroundings but just what you need to clear your head from the busy lifestyle we lead.
One of the beds made quite some noise when you turn, but that was it.

Very central location, great breakfast, and an amazing host – nice, always solicitous with our welfare, and even told us the history of the village during the breakfast.

So much charm! It was incredible to sleep in a place with so much history, we felt we were traveling in time :-)
A one of a kind place that left us in wonder.
The breakfast was excellent, the host was super nice.

The house was well decorated and clean. typical Alentejo furniture. Spacioous rooms. 2 floors, kitchen and a nice patio in the back.
Breakfast is traditional portuguese: good Alentejo bread, ham, cheese, 8 different jams, 4 varieties of home made cakes, fruits, cereals, milk, tea, coffee.
The hostess is an excelent comunicator and explained us a lot about the history of Brotas and all the things we could do around it.
The swimming pools are in a different area of the village but in walking distance and in a quiet and interesting spot.
The breakfast juice could be freshly squeezed (it was packed).

Cute small village. There wasn’t much going on, but good for a stopover. The hostess was incredibly kind and helpful. The stay also included access to a small but beautiful outdoor pool, which we weren’t expecting, so that was a nice surprise. Breakfast was excellent.

Excellent studio in the main square right above the church. The studio is equipped with everything you need to cook and stay in for your holiday: fridge, stove, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, blender & TV.
Despite the 46 degrees outside, the accommodation was very fresh (no need for a/c) due to the thick stone walls.
Maria, the host, is a super host, always with a smile & always willing to help you & to make your stay even more enjoyable. Thank you Maria for being such a kind & enjoyable person to deal with.
If you're looking for a traditional, honest accommodation in Alentejo where you can unwind, Casas da Romaria is the perfect spot.
We really enjoyed our stay & can't wait to go back!

It wasn't my first time in this place and everything was amazing again.
Really good breakfast with homemade jams and cakes.
In addition, the only local restaurant, O Poço, has amazing food and the owners are super friendly.

This place is absolutely perfect for relaxing away from the world. The villas are not modern but are all in good taste and all you need is available. Loved the sitting pool!
