They listened to the request for a quiet room, which was very peaceful, away from the central area of the hotel. Spacious room with good facilities and ample parking.
Buffet breakfast was small, and wait times for hot drinks and toast were slow.

I thought that the breakfast was very nice and the dining room was in a lovely spot over looking the moat . We enjoyed meeting all the ducks and Swans around the lovely gardens , also watching the canal boats traveling up and down the canal which ran right by our window
The only problem we had was that the bar was very over crowded as it was full of wedding guests which made it difficult to get a drink or find a seat

The bed was comfortable and the outside looked nice.
Looked a bit worn and needed some tlc. The 24 hr room service took an hour and we ended up cancelling it. We couldn’t get a table for dinner for any of the 3 nights. Vegan options were very limited. Breakfast service was slow. Dog barking and scratching the door in the morning. It wasn’t worth what it cost. Definitely not worthy of the star rating it has. It’s more about events and weddings than the hotel side.

restaurant food excellent
breakfast service to get toast and coffees too slow and we had to keep asking for more butter as portions very small, however breakfast was very nice.

The location was excellent - with stunning grounds and close to the canal for walks and the motorway for ease of travel. The food was lovely and the staff friendly and helpful. Our room had everything we needed and was really quiet, despite being located above the entrance.
I liked everything.

Dinner menu was varied and meal was of good quality. Restaurant was closed (it was a bank holiday) but dining in the bar was no problem. Service was efficient and good humoured.
Full English at breakfast could have been better! Bacon, sausage and black pudding overcooked!A well

Excellent hotel with perfect staff and first class service and food.

Staff were excellent - friendly and helpful. Prices for food/drinks were very reasonable
Breakfast was disappointing. Long queues to get seated, cold plates for the hot breakfast, what appeared to be watery constituted scrambled egg or broken fried eggs, no granola, fruit was bitter tasting. Accepted that it was very busy at the time.

The team are fabulous.

Two couples; our rooms were placed adjacent. The view was over the canal that ran 50m to the rear of the hotel..beautiful, and very calming. The 'moat' to the front provides a gorgeous setting but it isn't just a front. The outside tables, the bar and the restaurant are all very nicely appointed..not a hint of 'corporate hospitality'.
Nothing.

Close to the motorway, handy for an overnight stay, easy parking, good restaurant on site
When I first got in the room I couldn’t find a light switch and it was dark outside so a switch near the door would be handy

The service was not good. Wine ordered was delayed, extra glasses were asked for but never arrived. Starters came but no wine. The breakfast food was not hot. Again the service was slow.
4.3
Lovely big bed and good sized room. Lovely breakfast too.
The bar, restaurant and corridors were very chilly which made breakfast a bit uncomfortable.
4.3
Lovely location, spotless and well catered for.
Check in procedure was a bit odd (check in when you come back from your function at midnight 🤷♀️). It would be great if the hotel could keep a room for use on request for pre check in as it was hard getting ready for a wedding.
4.3
The location was tranquil and serene long walk along canal before dinner after busy day was a treat. Pleasant dining area with lovely restaurant. Overall would highly recommend for short break!
The bar was poorly stocked unable to serve a number of alcoholic requests, surprised me as this appears to be a popular wedding venue. Barman was very apologetic and pleasant but disappointed overall with this aspect. The restaurant staff were young and perhaps would benefit with more training! Offered dessert when hadn’t eaten main course, wrong wine arrived shortly followed by correct one by another member of staff at the same time. Need to be on the ball with table requirements/rotation.
