About this house rental
The Blissful Beach house is a spacious 5 bedroom home in the heart of the action just steps from Cape Kiwanda, Pelican Pub, Doryland Pizza and Moment Surf Shop. The house is open, spacious, well equipped and perfect for a large family rental. The master suite has a large soaking tub with views of Haystack Rock and Cape Kiwanda. You can see the Pub from the dining room table and wander across the street to Stimulus coffee. If you're looking for a central spot to surf, play on the beach, eat, drink, hike, shop, tidepool then this is it! Then you can return to a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable living room and cozy beds.

Layout–3 level home (ground level is retail space). 2nd level entry has living room, dining area, kitchen, separate dining space, bedroom with queen bed, bedroom with queen bed, bedroom with 2 sets of twin/twin bunks and a full hall bath, and an additional 1/2 bath. 3rd level has twin daybed on landing area, bedroom with queen bed, and master bedroom with king bed, twin daybed & twin trundle bed and full bathroom with jacuzzi.
Neighborhood:
This home is the heart of the action at Cape Kiwanda. It is on the main road through Pacific City next door to the surf shop, and across the street from the pizza place. The beach is less than a block away and you can see the pub from the kitchen table!

The ground level of this building is new wine bar PC Pour. It is a lovely spot for some amazing wine tasting and gourmet local small plates. It is open 1-7pm daily and will not affect guests.
This home is pet friendly for one or two dogs. Please let us know if you will be bringing a pet so that we can add the non-refundable pet fee of $10/night . Only well-behaved dogs are allowed. Pets are not allowed on the furniture, or left in the house unattended.

Cancellation policy: 1/2 the total cost of the booking is subject to forfeiture if reservation is canceled or changed within 30 days of arrival. 100% of rental rate is charged if cancelled (or no-show) within 7 days of arrival. If the house is fully rebooked by another renter, cancellation charges (less $35) will be refunded. Reservation cancellation fee is $35. (If you book with a 3rd party, different charges may apply).

The location & price can’t be beat. Counters (kitchen) & floors (bathroom) were sticky on arrival. Things we noticed - light bulbs are burned out, sinks are hard to turn on. There was very little in terms of supplies - I bought laundry detergent, we never found a dust pan for the broom etc. The house could use some TLC but it served its purpose. Property Management was very helpful & responsive in allowing us to park an extra car at their office. We did not bring up any other issues, but I’m sure if we had they would have addressed them as well.

The house was surface clean. The windows were stuck closed due to dirt and grime. There wasn't a shortage of anything that we needed - that we didn't bring. A couple of beds are well worn and collapsing in the middle. The location is great. There is a dog at the surf shop next door that pees on car wheels and the steps up to the front door. Signs asking you to respect the business downstairs. No signs there wishing the same for the patrons upstairs. You get to listen to a blender running fairly often during open hours. The views were great and again the location is awesome. Due to the price and cleanliness we would look for other places and not return here.

My entire family (husband, husband’s parents, my parents, my sister, and my 1-year-old son) stayed at this lovely location and enjoyed it very much! Thank you to the owners for accommodating needs (allowing me to borrow a couple of baby items) and ensuring our stay was great! Easy check-in/-out process! SO close to the beach and lots of places to eat, drink, and enjoy within walk-in distance (or a short drive)! Thanks so much!

Family time
The location of this home is great. Easy walk to the beach, even on a snowy day! The rooms are adequate for 4 couples and bunks are accommodating for other family members. Unfortunately the front door does not latch without the deadbolt secured, and the rain/snow flowed underneath the door. Kitchen pots and pans need to be replaced, and towels need to be updated. Overall we enjoyed time together, and house was adequate for our time.

Blissful Beach
We (kids, grands,, great-grands & pooch) came to the beach to celebrate my Dad's 85th, nephew's 34th, & daughter's 32nd birthdays. The youngest person in our group is 2 years old. The number of bedrooms and (more importantly) the TYPE of beds that were in the bedrooms worked out perfectly (2 king rooms/2 queen rooms/1 bunk room w/2 sets) - as it's difficult to find rentals for 4 couples, 2 singles & 2 "littles". IF you have 'elders' with you, please take the stairs into consideration as the house is the top 2 stories of a 3 story house. It is a very short walk to the beach & kitty-corner across the street from the "all-purpose" market (groceries, fresh fish, ice cream, souvenirs, etc.). Excellent location - the tiny town is very quiet at night so not difficult to sleep at night. Pelican Brewery Pub is within walking distance so if you have too many "sips" no DUI worries (lol). While we were here the owners had their 'grand opening' of a walk-up wine bar on the 1st level. I was a little concerned about how that would be downstairs from where we were staying but there was no roadies and it closes about 7:00p.m. so NO issurles

Beach trip 2019
Very nice to have comfortable beds and all five bedrooms. Just wish we had another half bath for that many bedrooms. Loved the location, close to Store and restaurant. We were lucky enough to have great weather. And just walked next door to sit on the beach and watch the surfers.

Great location
We have stayed at this place 3 times out of the last 4 visits and it’s nice to see the updates that have been done. We have little ones that come with us and this was found just outside of the place. Kinda dangerous for our little ones IMG_0593.jpeg. We also would like to have had extra paper towels and toilet paper since when we get this place we have 13. Other than those few things we have a blast here and it’s a very clean place, and a great location for all. We will come again!

Great location but house needs work!
The home was in a great location. The house itself needs some work. Everything was either run down, missing pieces, dirty or broken. The house was a great size with a decent lay out.

I Do Not Recommend - Unfortunately. Long review - Take time to read it - thorough & honest We were excited to have found a house big enough to accommodate our large group. The advertisement said updated home & the pictures looked nice and enticing. We were really excited when we went to pay and pick up keys to find out the house was ready for us to check-in! Excitement slowly turned to disappoint with the condition of the home. Most of the windows do not have screens - safety hazard especially with children. Other windows have screens but have rips. The windowsills have not been cleaned/dusted in who knows how long. The “queen” beds in the rooms downstairs are uncomfortable and you can hear the springs pop when you move. The bunk bed mattress are not any better. However, the king bed and the other bed upstairs are decent in comfort. We love to grill and were looking forward to making use of that amenity - extreme disappointment. The grill was extremely dirty and we were starting to wonder who cleans this home. We were ready to make coffee and the water receptacle was moldy! While laying my daughter down for a nap I noticed the fire alarm was missing in the bedroom. Big Red Flag. Safety Is Of The Utmost Importance. The missing alarm sent us on a search of the home and to ensure there were fire alarms in other rooms and hallways. Luckily there were. At this point I HAD to call the rental property office and say something. I let them know the conditions of the home and our extreme disappointment. We are on vacation and paying a good amount per night to stay in a sub-par establishment. The woman at the rental property office was friendly and apologetic and was surprised to be hearing my concerns. Based on the condition of this home I’m not sure how others have not given their feedback. They offered to bring over another coffee maker and would see what they could do about the grill. Someone came over shortly after the phone call and brought another coffee maker. It was as dirty as the first one but at least it wasn’t moldy. She left us with the parting words of acknowledging the poor condition of the grill and that due to the busy weekend they couldn’t get us another grill the same day but hopefully someone could bring another grill out the following day. The other grill did not arrive. Plenty of things to point out but this is long enough. Home NEEDS a seriously deep cleaning & some maintenance. Put the cleaning fee to good use!

Large nice home
The home is very big but could have been cleaner. Being in the heart of the city was a little loud at night but very convenient to the store across the street. Also with five bedrooms and only two baths, things got jammed in the one downstairs. We had a great time, though, and deer even came into the neighbors back yard.
