Bathroom cleanliness needs to improve. Rooms are ok, although not bright. Staff is nice and friendly

Located close to the main square, I felt safe at all times. The staff was friendly and professional.

The bathroom wasn't very clean when I arrived (I found hair in the sink and the towels had some stains). The breakfast had a good variety but eggs and sausage were cold. Rooms are very close to each other and I heard a lot of noise from neighbors.

Great location, friendly staff, old rooms

The staff were lovely, particularly the woman with dark hair, and the location couldn't be better.

I was put into a single room which wasn't what I was expecting so it was quite small and also quite dark because the only window looked straight out onto a wall. The property is also quite old which gives it character but also means the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Other guests should also be aware there are a lot of steps and no elevator. This was fine for me but challenging for some of our group to manage their luggage.

the location of the hotel is great, few minutes from central square, I arrived at 4-5 am, the reception was working and the receptionist was very nice, breakfast was good as well

Superb

Friendly staff, good room size and comfy beds. For a cheap stay, was fine.

The bathroom was poor, shower had to be held up manually. Not much choice at breakfast.

Bedroom cleaning really needs more attention

Location, walking distance to everything in city center. Friendly staff, especially in restaurant. Old hotel with character. Comfortable bed. Bottle of cold water provided for each guest on check in. Fridge in bedroom.

Stayed in the same room on 2 different dates on our trip. Sadly on both occasions we felt the room was not cleaned properly, especially behind doors, under the rugs, between bed and locker. We found dust/hair/food crumbs from previous guests. The public areas seem to get more attention than bedrooms. We noticed several cleaning staff on the corridors, it's a small hotel and old/full of character and bedrooms are dark, but this is, no excuse for not cleaning the bedrooms. Decor is dated and needs refreshing. Rugs on floors should be removed, very unhygienic/dirty. Water from shower leaves entire bathroom floor flooded, drainage not working well. Vent in bathroom needs to be fixed, very noisy.

Very nice centrally located older hotel. Close to downtown attractions.

could do better as a city centre hotel

central location

having to climb numerous flights of marble steps with a 16kg suitcase to a room at the very top of the hotel. the bathroom is abysmal as it’s very small & the shower is a hand held one in the bath. the hairdryer must have come out of the Ark. the breakfast is poor. a glass of orange juice turned out to be Fanta!

Great for a short stay

I booked this place very last minute,and receptionist lady was very kind to let me proceed with an early check in. She was caring and offered me a different room also cause my previous room has an issue with AC I liked the location and staff hospitality.

Hmm perhaps this place needs to consider towels renewal,they were grayish and quite old/used…
