Perfect to relax and enjoy the ocean

Good breakfast Comfortable beds Beautiful balcony Big room Nice staff! Super close to the private beach U feel very homed, everything is super clean

Location (super touristic), I prefer calmer places (busy road on the backside) Bad wifi All in all the stay was close to 10/10. I gave 9 because u can also get something very good in Crete if u can't afford that pricing.

I loved everything about The Theodore. It’s beautifully designed, it’s front beach, it’s small and very private, staff is adorable… and food is delicious.

Attention to detail that made us feel really well taken care of.

Great attention to detail and such friendly and welcoming staff. Everything was really well considered and high quality.

The location on the beach is lovely but the surrounding hotels and bars were not nearly as nice. We struggled to find a nice place for a drink beyond the hotel.

Staff service was excellent. Great location, you're literally on the beach! The room was outstanding and the cleanliness was superb!

Best hotel close to Chania, probably one of the best in all Crete.

This is probably the best hotel close to Chania and the most beautiful beaches. And I’m saying this based on a deep research but also knowing the other 5 star luxury hotels. If you want privacy, the best personalized service and experience in front of the sea, this is your place. We were looking for the best, and we clearly found it. Thank you George and all the team for making our holidays unforgettable.

A fabulous sun filled holiday with an oustanding hotel and staff

The hotel, was right on the beach , with plenty of sun beds , the terrace had lots of umbrellas and shaded seating , with an outside bar for drinks and snacks. The food served was of the highest quality and delicious. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

An absolute gem of a hotel....

Incredible setting, beautifully decorated, attentive staff, well appointed rooms, considerate little touches, excellent breakfast menu and fantastic beachfront views. I was given a questionnaire prior to arriving and special messages were put out every evening, specially laid out yoga mats, books of interests and more were made available. The service was incredible, above and beyond, engaging and caring. What a find! Will most definitely return.

The hotel is lovely- well situated on a quiet stretch of beach. The hospitality was extraordinary. The staff especially the manager George went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay. We can’t say enough about how special a place this is!

A rare find

Amazing boutique hotel right on the beach. Beautiful large room (we stayed in the 'Inspiration room') with a wonderful bathtub. Get this room if you can ;-) We also very much enjoyed the outside patio. The staff are simply outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble. The a la carte breakfast is a special treat - greek yoghurt with honey and fresh fruits, various kinds of eggs and the pancakes! We ended up eating the majority of our meals at the hotel because the nearby restaurants simply could not compete. We cannot recommend this place enough.

Wonderfull boutique hotel

I know Chania very well as i travel there at least once every couple of months. This hotel is situated in an area that i wouldn’t have chosen either for business or holidays. However, as this trip was a combination of both, it resulted to be an excellent choice. The hotel is very accommodating, small and friendly, clean and very peaceful. I loved the fact that there are no TV’s anywhere. We didn’t even realize this till the day we left, which is a very positive aspect. I would strongly recommend to anybody looking for a small peaceful oasis.

Where to start.....From the first moment we entered the hotel, we felt like a valuable guests very welcomed. All staff went extra mile in order to make our stay as comfortable and as pleasant as possible. Hotel is amazing, beautifully designed with a great attention to details, bed waa very comfortable. Manager George was very attentive and professional, exceeding out expectations. All staff was very kind and helpful. Location is perfect, beautiful sea was on our doorstep with comfortable sunbeds, parasols. All included. Bottle of water was provided all day round, free of charge, and you can order a lunch or dinner and eat it even on the beach if you want. Breakfast is so tasty, freshly baked pies and cakes every morning. Overall, amazing stay. We would recvommend this hotel wholeheartedly. We will be back...

wonderful, holistic place to stay in Crete for a relaxing trip

The Theodore is such a gem! We are really into wellness and holistic health, and after traveling for over a week to different places, staying here offered some much needed relaxation. The staff are super helpful and can assist with anything you need. The breakfast in the morning is really great and all the details they put into making your stay an experience is exceptional. Our favorite part was lounging on the cushions outside, reading books with the ocean in the background, and watching the sunset. Overall the design aesthetic was truly magical and inspiring.

Paradise in Cretia

Everything. Best hospitality professionnals I've seen in Cretia, best customer service. Simply oustanding, in a country where service is already pretty amazing. The private beach is one thing, the atmosphere is another one, that can't be conveyed in words or pictures. The place is made for meditation, serenity. AMAZING !!!

We had a great experience!! the staff was really nice, George the manager was a great help and super nice! the place has yoga mats and it was just magical!!. Breakfast was amazing!! My wife is on a gluten free diet and the hotel staff actually made her special dishes just for her with out Gluten

Amazing experience

We have spent 10 days in Agia Marina and we could not have chosen a better hotel! This was not just a stay, but a great luxury experience. Day One: when we arrived from the airport, they were expecting us with a bottle of very good cold prosecco and small delicious Greek specialties. Location: exactly on the beach, there are 5 stairs that lead you to the private beach. There you have sun beds and umbrellas. The staff will bring you beach towels and cold drinking water. The sea: extremely clean, there is precisely one step of pebbles, then there is just sand, you can see through it until you reach 1 Meter depth, amazing. Beginning of June the water was already warm. Food: we had breakfast included in the room price, this is the best breakfast we have had ever, Michelin star really. You would chose from the menu anything you wanted and they prepare it fresh. Every day they also offer a Greek specialty surprise. Besides amazing food, you ll have amazing coffee, fresh orange and grapefruit juice. Staff: both reception ladies and the General Manager are such great people, always extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable! We have so much appreciated the entire staff! Cleaning: the room is being cleaned twice a day, everything is perfectly clean! Everyday one will get interesting notes left on the desk as well as small delicious chocolate sweets. The rooms, the beds are extremely comfortable, the design is simply beautiful, excellent taste for each small detail. Trips around the island: the reception ladies, Alexia and Fotini, helped us organizing our trips to Chania, Balos, Gramvousa and Elafonisi, all are a must see while your stay in Crete. The bus would pick you up from the hotel. To Balos / Gramvousa there is a 45 min drive and a 45 min trip by boat, between Balos and Gramvousa other 10 min by boat. Both are amazing wild beaches, definitely worth spending there a full day.

Small but stunning boutique hotel!

This beautiful small hotel totally exceeded our expectations. It is stunning! the rooms beautiful , the bedding amazing. The photos do not do it justice , but honestly we were so blown away by this place. I would definitely recommend it !!

Exceptional

Our stay far exceeded our expectations. The moment we arrived we felt like home and soooo relaxed. Everything about this place just "fits" and we felt so at ease. The staff is incredible and they seem to know what you need before you know yourself. Especially Katharina and the incredible bartender and the woman at the reception were amazing and so welcoming (I am sorry, I am so bad at remembering names). The place itself is beautiful and strangely separate from the rest of Agia Marina, as it is its own little world of relaxation and coming to an inner peace. Breakfast was also fantastic, as everything they do, they do with love. Thank you so much!!!

A little treasure on the beach

The hospitality,and relaxed settings. The yoga mat and books in the room. The view and sounds of the waves,with beach on the doorstep. The breakfast and it's variety, freshness and the chef's commitment and joy in making it, as he told us. The beach bar and it's menu. I could go on and on..this is a little paradise and a gem, which makes you forget about beeing in a crowded place elsewhere on the beach.
