The abundance of windows in the residence allow for light filled water view rooms. Heritage Harbor House is one of the most historic homes in Ephraim, circa 1906. Enjoyed, but showers do not have grab bars making it dangerous for older people, especially in main bedroom. Please add those as we would like to return next year but as we are 80 plus the showers are an issue

My family had the pleasure in staying at the Heritage House in Ephraim. Walking distance from Wilson’s ice cream, the Old Post office for the fish boil, walked down Ephraim Coffee Lab and the Bad Morovian for pizza. Just a fantastic location with a lot to do in a really beautiful community. The house was great, with a nice kitchen and plenty of room. The view from the front porch was unbearable.

This property is amazing! 10 out of 10 recommend. We enjoy coming every year to spend time in Door County. The hosts are very kind & ensure that check in/out is very smooth. Thank you for another great year!

The house was absolutely perfect. It was exactly as described, and had a charm and feel that was in line with what the pictures describe. It is a home that was built over 100 years ago, and it was absolutely spotless. The windows, the linens, the floors - all of it was so clean you would think that it was just finished months ago. The accommodations were exactly as described and exceeded expectations. The owners were very quick to respond to simple questions (we had no issues check-in to check-out) and it felt as though we had a home away from home. I can honestly say this was an enjoyable vacation and home-away-from-home due to the fact that it was kept in immaculate condition.
Property was as described - and as mentioned above, linens and towels were completely perfect. The boat dock accommodated our 21 foot open-bow speedboat easily. Bathrooms and kitchen were stocked with toilet paper, pater towel, and dishwasher needs very well. I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your home!!

The house turned out to be much better than we expected. 2 large bedrooms and one smaller one on the top floor with two bathrooms. The lower floor had several rooms all available to sit in. The front parlor room had a lot of light and the covered porch was fantastic. Although the place is right next to Wilson's ice cream, that was more of a positive than a negative as we could simply walk around the fence to get ice cream and not have to worry about parking. Wilson's closes at 10pm so it is not really noisy after that. Ephraim is a very quiet town, unlike Sister Bay. The location was fantastic as we could walk to the Post office, Chef's Hat, Pearl and just about any other places in Ephraim. We used to stay in Fish Creek but for what we like to do, Ephraim is much better located. We only have positives to say about the place. The one negative we did experience was that Ephraim overall does not have good cell coverage and we struggled with that. The Wi-Fi at the house did work however. If we make it back to Door County, and we likely will, we will want to stay here.

Thank you!

I can't say enough about this property. The location was good. The view of the bay was so nice. It was so clean and very well stocked. The decor was cute and fitting for the building. Our favorite part was the front porch. It had good view of water and people but we felt it was still private. It had very nice furniture and we couldn't believe how clean it was. We could hear the people at Wilson's or the other restaurant next door but it wasn't loud.

Our foursome spent a wonderful weekend lodging with "a place for everything and everything in its place". We prepared our morning breakfasts effortlessly, slept comfortably, cozy conversational settings and easy touring as Ephraim is centrally located within upper Door County attractions. Our Hosts were always accommodating.

GREAT place to stay
Last year I stayed on the upper level of this house - and this year the first floor as it had more bedrooms. This is an excellent location and a warm and wonderful house. I hosted a number of family and friends (not all of whom stayed at the house), but we did have a wonderful birthday celebration dinner which worked great with the large dining room.
The home is comfortable and very inviting. The front veranda was a favorite spot to have a cocktail and watch the sunset.
I LOVE this house and look forward to coming back again.

Our secret hideaway
Have you ever discovered something that was so good that you thought about not telling anyone else, so you could keep it to yourself? That was what we found with the Harbor House in Ephraim. This was the first time we used VRBO and we were somewhat skeptical. What we found was the perfect accommodation with one of the best views in Door County from the front porch.
It felt literally like we were staying in someone’s real home but someone who had it ready for company. Clean, comfortable, cheerful, and well-appointed.
We enjoyed the week because we really felt relaxed and at home. The owners have a great property and do a great job.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. Very clean and we had everything that we needed. The porch was a favorite for our morning coffee, playing cards and enjoying a glass of wine as the sun set. Would definitely use this place for a future visit!
The owners responded promptly to any questions we had. Grateful that they opened up their home to us!

Thanks so much

Ephraim location!
Our daughter's family and my husband and I just stayed here for 5 nights! This place is immaculate. The master bedroom on the second floor is very spacious and overlooks the water. Being right next to Wilsons was fun also. The location is great and you can walk to the beach in Ephraim. Our grandkids loved the beach. We did not want to leave. Highly recommend!

Perfect Door County Getaway
It was our family's first visit to Door County, and we can't imagine a better place to call home base. Ephraim is right in the middle of so many Door County experiences. And this home is right in the middle of their adorable downtown area. Right next door to Wilson's - the best ice cream and root beer. And right across the street from boat rentals. We also loved Chef's Hat and the Wine Cottage. The front porch was our favorite spot all times of day - watching the water, the boats, the sunset. And it's a quick drive to both Sister Bay and Fish Creek - where we could explore more beaches, restaurants, etc. A beautiful home, well kept and had everything we needed for a great Door County vacation. We hope to be back next year!

Pleasant week in Ephraim
We loved our stay in Tim and Nancy's home this summer. It is located in the heart of Ephraim, which is our favorite town in Door County. They were very accommodating working through the COVID-19 circumstances (e.g., providing extra cleaning, allowing us worry-free cancellation, etc.) which really allowed us to enjoy the vacation. I highly recommend this home!

2nd visit to this home
We have enjoyed this home so much last year that we decided to return for our family vacation this year. We love the fact that it is centrally located in Door County which makes it great for exploring. It is also in the heart of Ephraim, so sitting on the front porch with a glass of wine and watching the tourists go by is a great way to end the day. The home is cozy and perfect for a family.
All of the extra cleaning for COVID made us feel comfortable with visiting, and the owners kindly let us know that they would allow for cancellations in the case that someone in our family got sick. We have made many good memories in this home, and we hope to return.

Perfect location, very clean
We loved this house! Its location and classic Door County charm made it one of our most favorite visits in 35+ years! The location and view from the front porch really are "unequaled." The house was very well cared for and clean in every corner. We hope to come back and stay here again. Thank you for sharing your house!

Nice home in a great location
Enjoyed our stay thoroughly at Heritage House 2. We like staying in Ephraim, since it’s centrally located on the peninsula. The house had everything we needed. We were unable to use the pier due to the high water issue, but otherwise everything was great. We would definitely stay there again!

Great Getaway
My family has been visiting Ephraim for over 40 years, and when our normal rental was unavailable due to its owners being in town, Heritage Harbor House proceed to be an excellent substitute. Although the decor and furniture are rustic and a tad dated, the unit is immaculately kept with all amenities and the best location in town. The unit was plenty spacious for 5 adults and a child, and the front porch was our favorite space to relax after the days' activities. During the day the house is a little noisy with foot and vehicle traffic on the main road, but it quiets down by 10pm and was not significant enough to detract from our stay (or wake the napping baby!) All in all, we still have our family spot, but we would recommend this location to friends or rebook in a heartbeat if our usual spot was unavailable again.

Young family
We enjoyed a week in this perfectly located home. We appreciated the space and the full kitchen. The front porch overlooked the water and was so beautiful at sunset. The home was very clean upon arrival and owners were quick to drop off kitchen towels. The listing does not specify that this is a shared home. I assumed we had the entire building. It didn’t matter though, we had plenty of space. We would stay here again :)

Awesome location and porch!
We loved sitting out on the porch while relaxing and loved walking around Ephraim. Very nice home to rent! Check in is quite late in day which was only downside.

Right in the center of everything!
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The views out the window and from the front porch are beautiful, and it is close to everything in Ephraim and Peninsula State Park. It was enjoyable to get out, and we also enjoyed relaxing at the house with the beautiful view. Our kids also really enjoyed being next door to Wilson's and the library!

Door County Perfection!
Having researched dozens of VRBO properties to spend a week in Door County, our family of four landed on Tim & Nancy’s gorgeous, perfectly located home that is right out of a Norman Rockwell painting! Our expectations were far exceeded! This is a 1906 renovated Colonial that sits right in the heart of Ephraim, directly around the corner from the iconic Wilson’s restaurant & ice cream parlor. Tim & Nancy are gracious and friendly hosts. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and provided excellent Door County vacation tips! We loved coffee in the mornings from our front porch overlooking Eagle Harbor. There are two really nice bikes that are free to use (Tim promptly pumped up one bike tire that was low immediately after we asked). The house has an updated & fully equipped kitchen, modern windows that easily open & close, BBQ Grill, and brick fireplace that was nice during the cool evenings. The house has bath towels, but bring your own beach towels. As for the location, it’s spectacular and worth every penny of the rental fee. We walked everywhere! South Shore Pier is directly across the street for Parasailing & Boat/Jet Ski/Kayak rentals. Excellent nearby restaurants include Chef’s Hat (go between 4:30-5:30 for early dinner special, great bang for the buck) and Old Post Office Restaurant (Fish Boil a must). There is a nearby public beach that’s an easy walk. And, don’t forget to walk down to Anderson’s “graffiti” Dock, but bring your own paint to document your stay! The sunsets are spectacular! The Peninsula Golf course (18 hole course, 6-hole par 3 course, & full driving range) is a 5 minute drive away. The nearby towns of Fish Creek and Sister Bay are both just a few minutes away by car (Sister Bay has a nice Piggly Wiggly grocery store). We explored most of the Door County lakeside towns and we think Ephraim wins the “charm & quaintness award” (Fish Creek is a close 2nd)...it’s totally authentic “Americana”! Other activities we enjoyed: Ferry Trip to Washington Island to experience Schoolhouse Beach & the Lavender Farm; Lautenbach’s Orchard/Winery/Market; Fred & Fuzzy’s Waterfront Bar & Grill in Sister Bay for some down-home lakeside fun including live music & Cherry Margaritas; Door County Creamery goat farm tour & lunch; Nicolet Bay Beach; Sturgeon Bay Canal Lighthouse.
Thanks again Tim & Nancy for providing some cherished family memories...we can’t wait to come back!

Excellent house
Property was excellent. Location was perfect and the house fit our needs perfectly. My daughter came separately and almost missed finding us because she couldn’t believe we had such a lovely place. My granddaughter loved being right next to the town library, and who can complain about having Wilson’s ice cream practically in your back yard. Tim was very responsive, and even stopped by to check on us. We’re ready to head back already.

Love the Heritage Harbor House!
The Heritage Harbor House suited our needs perfectly. We were specifically looking for a property that included a dock, as we didn't want to mess with pulling our boat in and out of the water each day, parking, etc. The dock that came with this house was extremely convenient. Having our boat ready and waiting just across the street was perfect. Additionally, there was ample parking for the boat trailer in the lot behind the house which made things even easier. Really, for us the logistics could not have been better.
The house itself was ideal in so many ways. Attractively decorated to suit the era the home was built, it is very spacious, clean and well-appointed. We did a mix of eating in and going out, and found the kitchen to have everything we needed. The front porch was our favorite spot for coffee in the morning and wine in the evening while enjoying the beautiful harbor view.
I had several questions before booking the rental and leading up to our stay, and the owner was highly responsive and helpful. He was there to greet us and show us around when we arrived, and also stopped by to say goodbye. Unfortunately we had a spill on one of the upholstered chairs while there, and notified the owner right away. He was very understanding, which we appreciated so much, and a replacement chair magically appeared in the house before the end of the day! The Door County Cherry Pie waiting for us in the kitchen when we arrived was an especially delicious touch.
We'd love to stay here again, not a single complaint!
