We booked these rooms for a group of 11 friends the rooms were comfortable with underfloor heating, cleaned daily. Location was fantastic for hikes.
There was a lack of hot water and the breakfast was very limited.

Staff was great and super nice. They offer help and information for everything you need.
We suggest more blankets less heating :)
Unfortunately heating was too high firsts nigths and was hard to sleep and harmful for health.

Large and comfy room, with clean private bathroom. Good breakfast.
Room was overheated, but that seems to be the case in many hostels in Patagonia.

Good location,
Room was insanely hot. With no way to control the temperature. Comes up through the tiles. The included breakfast was stale breads, cheese and ham. With selection of coffee and tea

We were hoping to get 2 single beds but ended up having to share a double bed. Other than that, the place was great.

The room was really spacious, clean and comfortable. It was warm and the shower was great heat/pressure (all of which was much appreciated after hiking all day). There was plenty of breakfast available and the staff were friendly. location was perfect, on the side of town near to the Fitz Roy trek however, a bit further away from the bus station- like a 15 minute walk so not much! Much more like a hotel than a hostel so didn’t meet anyone.
The WIFI was very bad but I’ve heard this is common for el chalten, but work from there is not possible. There was a mix up with our room and we were originally informed we would have to swap after one night however this was resolved quickly!

Great location, super nice and helpful staff, yummy breakfast!
Wifi was spotty

It is ok place for one night stay as we have a car so getting to the place is not a problem l.
Sound proof seems not good. After flushing the toilet, the water pipe makes a loud noise through different floors in deep night. The toilet flushing water sometimes keeps running non-stop.

The neighborhood is good. The starting points of popular hiking trails are not far away.Breakfast is simple but adequate.
Unfortunately when we arrived the toilet tank was leaking so the whole bathroom was wet. The staff fixed it the next day.
The downstairs corner room is extremely noisy when the wind blows. We thought it was an extremely bad storm outside but found out it was just an average Patagonian windy day. The location of the room makes the wind noise amplify.

Toast, ham, cheese. Coffee.
Building is noisy

The location and price were excellent. Walking diatance to trailheads and restaurants is hard to beat, though that's the whole town! Breakfast was decent.
The shower was the real disappointment. We couldn't get hot running water when we tried- a definite bummer after hiking for 11 hours. The single thin pillows left room for improvement.

The location was excellent, only a short walk to a number of restaurants and bars as well as different starting points for hikes. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and even offered to make us dinner. Breakfast was basic but decent. This was a very comfortable stay in a beautiful place.

This hostel is incredibly comfortable and, crucially, VERY warm (we went during winter in May when the temperature was down to 2ºC). The shower is fantastic - powerful, very hot and doesn't leak at all. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast buffet included has a great selection of toast, cheese, ham, yoghurt, fruit salad, cereals and tea/coffee/juice. Most of the staff were really friendly: there is no kitchen access in this hostel (it's staff only) and one night I asked if I could use the microwave to heat up my dinner, which was no problem for them. Overall, a great stay and we would definitely book again if in El Chalten.
The WiFi was appalling. There are three networks and none of them has a good connection. The first room we were given in the corner (Room 11) does not get any WiFi connection at all, so we asked to change rooms - which was accommodated.
Secondly, we would have given this place 10/10 if it weren't for an issue with the taxi that we booked for the day of check out that ruined our experience somewhat. We had booked and confirmed a taxi the night before for 7.30 am the next morning with the two people at the reception. The following morning, the taxi arrived almost 15 minutes early whilst we were in the middle of our breakfast. After asking the taxi driver whether she could wait 5 minutes for us to quickly finish up, we were told no by both her and the receptionist. The receptionist then told us that we could walk if we wanted to (it was more than 1km in ice/snow with our luggage!) and if we'd done this, we would have missed our bus. We left our breakfast half-eaten to then leave immediately.

location was close to the trails, some of the staff were nice and helpful, the cleaners were great, seen we were cold and gave us extra blankets.
the noise was constant, not a place you can actually sleep. we were woken every morning, on the last morning we were woken by music from the reception desk at 6am.
we ordered a box lunch the night before a hike, they forgot about it and what we received was very old and stale bread from breakfast.
the place was advertised with wifi in all areas but the wifi was limited to the area around the reception desk.

Location
The receptionist/owner was very rude. When we arrived, they did not give us a key to one of the rooms we had booked. We kept asking the receptionist to resolve this and she kept blaming us (your brother has your key/I gave it to your mum). Eventually after two days we realised all the doors can be opened with whatever key. So I could basically go in anyone’s room. Do not stay here if you want to feel secure or if you appreciate even the most basic customer service. Never never stay here - the worst experience ever

Very clean, large room wirh private bathroom very friendly and helpful staff, (modest) breakfast included. One of very few affordable, good-value-for-money places in overpriced El Chaltén.
Nothing really. A water boiler and coffe/tea facilities in the room would be nice.
