Perfect, quiet spot for a family summer vacation. Easy access to the trolley, great spot to start a walk around town or head up to the lakes.

My family loved 21, and would gladly return. Fantastic value for all the amenities offered. Highly recommended!

This is a newer condo, better equipped than most condos for rent in Mammoth. Plenty of space and newer appliances. Wi-Fi works, but occasionally loses connectivity. It could use more plates and glasses, in particular there are no wine glasses.

The place was cute and exactly what we expected based on photos. We had a great time!

We love staying at the Snowflower complex--the condos are spacious and the two bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms (key for traveling with two families). This particular unit was overall nice but could use a little TLC to make it really great. The good: remodeled/clean kitchen, pellet stove kept us warm, mattresses pretty comfy, great location. The parts that could use improvement: master bedroom has NO closet or anywhere to hang things (at least put some hooks on the walls if you're going to lock the closet as an owners closet--especially during ski season when people need to hang up wet gear); kitchen amenities were majorly lacking (only 6 plates, minimal silverware, very few pots and pans were old battered; new bedding (comforters on beds are old and scratchy) would go a long way. As for the property manager: please provide more toilet paper and paper towels. We ran out of paper towels and almost ran out of TP in our 5 night stay with 8 people. Internet did not work at all the whole time we were there. This was not a "low bandwidth" issue--it just plain didn't work. Vacasa sent someone to fix it but they were not able to...so we didn't have wifi the whole time. Also, not enough linens provided for upstairs trundle beds (pillows but no pillowcases for pull out beds)--we called and someone brought them. Overall we had a nice stay but if the owners and property management put a little effort into a few minor details, this place would be really nice.

4.0
I will start by saying that the layout of the condo is spacious and it has a lot of potential if Vacasa can manage its property better. The master bed is comfortable, though we could not sleep in it the first night due to excessive hair in the bed, as if it had not been cleaned. When we removed the sheets to wash them, we found what looked like a pee-stained mattress pad, the comforter was ripped, and the bed was without a bedskirt. I spent the whole first night of our stay doing laundry and had to sleep in a very uncomfortable bed in the loft, as the master bed linens were still wet. The bathroom was also quite dirty, with toothpaste and other dirty marks on the bathmats. After just one regular laundering, everything I had to wash was completely clean, so clearly Vacasa is just not cleaning its properties. I had the same problem with some pots and pans, oil and food residue was left on most of them, so I also washed a lot of dishes. Vacasa was willing to refund the cleaning fee, since it clearly was not cleaned, but they would not refund the first night that I spent cleaning someone else's mess. If you are willing to risk possibly having to clean a lot and do a lot of laundry, you will love this place. Hopefully Vacasa will solve the cleaning problem with this condo and then I would have given it 4 stars, with 1 star taken off because the kitchen pots, pans, and dishes were outdated and heavily chipped as to be unusable and dangerous to children. Having 3 bathrooms was great, though the hot water runs out quickly in the winter. Leaving 10-15 minutes between showers solved this problem for our family.

Place was ok, the tv didn’t work in the front room, there was no tea kettle and the road noise made it hard to sleep. The smaller bedroom’s bathroom smelled badly of must.

This home was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We'd definitely stay here again. One good thing to know is that one of the reclining chairs is broken. The handle is missing, so it doesn't rock or recline. Other than that, we were very happy! Great location, too - we walked to a pizza place, a fancy dinner, a bakery, and friends' homes.

This property was excellent. Location was excellent. The only problem I had was the tv in the living room we had to manually change the channels. It wasn’t the remote. I contacted property management the second day we were there and they said they would send someone over. No one ever came by.🤔

I do not recommend staying at Snowflower 21.
During my one week stay, we’ve had to deal with several key issues I’ll outline below:
1. Mice and spiders - One night I awoke to the sound of rustling which I soon found, to my absolute horror, was mice. The handyman was great about it and came out to put traps the next day. However, this never should have happened in the first place. Given that we saw many mouse droppings below the sink in the kitchen, the cleaning crew should have caught this. The handyman also recommended the place be fumigated ASAP. Place was also overrun by dozens of large spiders.
2. Dangerous for children - the heavy wooden hanger in the loft fell off when we tried to hang a pair of pants on it. This could have severely injured a child had it fallen on their heads; less so for an adult but still not great.
3. Broken microwave/hood - the microwave and vent hood above the range is broken. Maintenance stated there was no existing service ticket open for the broken vent/microwave. However, it seems like the owner/management knew about this and elected not to fix it since there was another working microwave on the countertop.
4. Dangerous rickety dining chairs - some of the backs of the dining chairs lean back way more than they are supposed to; I am afraid that it would splinter under more weight.
Couple other points I think are important to point out:
- If you plan to do any cooking, Snowflower 21 is not the place for you. The kitchen at the property has some pans but they are extremely badly scratched, damaged, or have layers of grime on them. Also they are puzzlingly missing some kitchen essentials like salt and pepper, aluminum foil, and plastic wrap.
- Some outlets just don’t work
- Beds and pillows are lumpy - I felt okay but one person in my party had back pain after sleeping in the smaller bedroom
- No hairdryer, 1 ply toilet paper, paper towels
- Dated tech in the home (I.e., one of the TVs is definitely from 2002)
Overall, the property gave the impression that the owner and/or management is seeking to maximize profit margins, not to create the best stay for their customers. Again, I would not recommend Snowflower 21.

Potential to be 5 star
This place had a lot of potential. We were very disappointed upon our arrival to find a fridge full of old leftover food and a full dishwasher that was not cleaned. There was a lack of cleaning supplies and trash bags as well to aid in any cleanup. There was leftover fruit on the floor which indicated to us that no one vacuumed either. The vacasa team was very nice and helpful though and was very willing to send someone to aid in any cleanup and they ended up waiving the cleaning fee which was very nice.
Aside from those initial disappointments the place is great. It is in a great location not too far from the slopes and very cozy inside. Great place for a family or group of friends to stay.

My stay
Location and floor plan were ideal. The mattresses in the lower two bedrooms are definitely rdy for replacement. No pillow width options either so sleep quality was very poor.

Good value home
Liked that there were 2 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The extra beds in the loft really make this home an excellent value. The kitchen is very good too and it's a well maintained home. Exactly what we were looking for.

Great location, amenities, and host
The location is great if you're looking to spend time skiing or snowboarding at the resort. You're just across the street from restaurants, bars, and stores while only being several miles away from the slopes. The check in process was easy and the host was extremely responsive and helpful when we had questions. The place is clean, spacious (we had a group of 10), and had great amenities for our stay. Due to COVID, we decided to stay in after a day of skiing and snowboarding. There were plenty of games to keep us entertained and kitchen amenities so we can cook during our stay. Would highly recommend for large groups.

Beautiful, cozy, family home
Our family of 4 greatly enjoyed this home and it was the perfect location for us. We wanted to be in Old Mammoth near the walking trail, and this was across from a nature preserve that you could walk through. It was beautiful! There were many beds and this would comfortably sleep up to 8 people or more. My family who was staying nearby at Snowcreek said they wished they had rented our place instead! Next year we'll be fighting over this one! :) Every room had a TV which was nice. The kitchen had everything we needed and we loved using the air fryer!
The only bummer was there was no BBQ, so we had to go to the pool area to use that one. Since we did not have the code for the pool key lockbox, I was on the phone with Vacasa for an hour trying to get access to that (they did not give out the code due to COVID but ended up giving it to me). We also wished the bottom bedroom facing the street had a screen on it so we could open the window.
Overally we were VERY happy with this place and would stay here again!

Property was very nice and fairly well equipped. The instructions for opening the front door were misleading and not what was actually required. Anyway, we eventually figured it out and got in the unit.

Family time
We had a family getaway. Our condo was comfy, clean and cozy.
We noticed that one of the toilets on the bottom floor had to have the handle adjusted so that it wouldn’t run continuously.
I wish the extra fees weren’t as high. What started out as $167 a night ended up costing more than $300 a night.
I would recommend unit 21 but I would warn that the cost goes up significantly.
Thanks.

Awesome spot for a family vacation
This house was great for our family. It's location is close, even walking distance, to lots of great spots. The property complex is well maintained and our kids loved the multiple hot tubs and pool. The house was clean and well kept. The loft was a fun space for our kids. We would certainly recommend this property! Thanks
