From the moment you step into the building you immediately know you are in for a treat. Amazing decor and unusual artwork adorning every wall and a very warm welcome.
Our room was very spacious and had the same individual and unusual features as the rest of this beautiful house.
The relaxed buffet breakfast is taken in a room overlooking the river and was so relaxing.
We loved it ❤️
We loved everything.

Owner was really lovely and friendly. Very keen to help make stay pleasurable
Property cold, furniture had holes in - i expected unusual and ecclectic but sitting on sofas with holes in is unacceptable.
Shower had black mould and shower was very basic with loose fixings. No luxury at all for the price.
Bed was very hard with lumpy pillows.

gorgeous interesting building with river views. excellent staff, great breakfast and honesty bar. open fire. nespresso in rooms.
cartons of milk in the rooms are the worst I’ve ever tasted
4.5
Period house with eclectic taste. Warm and inviting, unique themed rooms, fantastic location friendly owners.
Distressed furniture is cool but not when ripped to the internal cushioning
3.5
This is a beautiful, historic and quirky property right on the river. The staff are amazingly accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was fantastic. The history of the place is evident and it is a short walk to shops and restaurants in Maidenhead. Being on the Elizabeth line will now be to their benefit.
Evidently a place with such history is very difficult to change, given all the regulations. So if you’re looking for ultra modern comforts like new toilets, air-conditioning and massive king-size beds you’re not always going to find it here. The first bedroom we were put into had a very old wooden toilet that struggled to flush and a tiny queen size bed which was beautiful but less comfortable. However, the staff are so accommodating that as the hotel was not full they happily upgraded us to a room with a king size bed, a more modern toilet and a fantastic view of the river. The place needs investment but your heart goes out to them as them as they turned this into a hotel just before Covid hit.

Staff, location and the hotel is amazing - really different - arty and eccentric. Breakfast was really nice - continental buffet.

Iain and Alessandra are very welcoming. Absolutely gorgeous rooms
loved it all, we had to have a little plug in heater but honestly we were more than comfortable - and it was January!

Amazing room, helpful staff, comfy bed
Bathroom was cold and felt a bit characterless in comparison with the room. Breakfast was nice but felt a bit generic-hotel-buffet - a cooked breakfast option would make a big difference.

Our room was a little cold so we were given another room straight away which happened to be a suite with amazing views over the river. We loved the style of the hotel and will be staying again.

Lovely hotel, great rooms and wonderful views of the river
The bathrooms could do with a renovation at some point but the shower is great and everything is super clean.

The rooms are decorated so beautifully - every one is unique, and all within a lovely historic building. Gorgeous location on the Thames. And the manager / owner was extremely friendly and helpful

The staff were fantastic...so helpful with everything. They go out of their way to make your stay great 👍👏
Breakfast was fabulous 😋 Spectacular views from bedroom window. Garden was beautiful and relaxing
Lovely place, made special by the staff
My Turret room was fantastic but it was difficult to see TV as it was on a low cabinet and the iron bedstead blocked view. It needs to be put on a higher chest so the TV can be seen but I still loved my room and the view from the window was spectacular.

Loved the building and the decor. Staff were genuinely lovely and really helpful. 5mins by car to Bray as well if you’re planning on eating at the fat duck or waterside inn.
