About this cottage rental
This is a modern property with a traditional twist. Perfectly situated for easy access to the City centre and the M4 motorway. There are many local historic places of interest as well as being very close to both sandy and pebble beaches. Exceptionally well presented, with excellent fixtures and fittings- a real home from home. Lovely private terrace where you can on a good day watch the wildlife. Ample parking for at least two cars right outside the front door. Electric gated entrance to driveway. PLEASE NOTE We request WEEKLY BOOKINGS in peak season (May/September) Saturday to Saturday unless agreed with us prior to booking, contact via Vrbo. The property is adjoining my property, however, it is very private.

This property was extremely well equipped , we didn’t want for anything . It was immaculate inside and out and very tastefully decorated . The beds were very comfortable as were the sofas . The owners were very welcoming and had provided milk , , tea and coffee for us which was a nice touch . The property is easily accessible for supermarkets and lots of attractions . A fantastic weekend

We were visiting friends in Cardiff our accommodation was perfect. Wendy and Ian were great hosts and made us feel welcome and at ease. They were extremely helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Without a doubt this house is a rare find. Location is perfect , close to the city yet quiet in a rural setting. The house itself holds all the luxury you can imagine and the owners are stars

Wendy and Ian were fantastic to deal with. The place is absolutely stunning, set in a beautiful location… even in winter! The house has everything you need and more. They are very accommodating with our change of dates, and really couldn’t ask any more. I have already recommended this accomodation to friends.

We felt right at home in this lovely rental property; everything was extremely comfortable, clean and stylish. Plus the location in the countryside with the peace and quiet, with rural views, was exactly our speed. We hope to make this our 'go to' rental from now on for our regular visits to the area.

We had a great stay. For us, this bungalow is perfect. Everything from the layout, decor, facilities, parking and location are spot on and its peaceful and quiet! We've stayed in well over 100 rental holiday homes over the years, and this has to be one of the very best.
Wendy and Ian are easily contactable and are incredibly helpful and thoughtful owners.

Fantastic hosts, perfect location and spotless property
The location was perfect, the property was very clean/tidy/comfortable and had everything you needed - especially a fully equipped kitchen! Shops were 5 minutes away, Cardiff Bay about 20 minutes, and the Gower beaches an hour or so - excellent all round! We had a lovely relaxing time and was warmly welcomed upon our arrival. Wendy & Ian are perfect hosts and available to help with a wealth of information if needed. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again. Thank you!

Outstanding hosts with a spectacular property
The cottage feels in the middle of nowhere but is 10 minutes from everywhere! It has a real private feel to it and we were very comfortable. Wendy greeted us on our arrival and made us feel so very welcome. We visited to meet up with family and this was an ideal base for visiting them in both Cardiff and Penarth. The cottage was so clean and had everything you could ever need. I could not recommend both the cottage and Wendy and Ian highly enough. Thank you both.

Had a lovely relaxing stay and hosts Wendy and Ian were v friendly and informative, highly recommend this property it has everything you need and and v clean, also as I,m disabled the shower with the seat in was a big plus.

South Wales Paradise
The property is a perfect place to stay to explore the Valleys, Brecon Beacons, the South Wales coast and the Gower Peninsula. Southwinds is a beautiful property with everything you could want for from a fabulous kitchen to a stunning shower room and bedroom downstairs and an upstairs bedroom and bathroom to delight. We would not hesitate to stay here again

Spent a week here visiting family in the area. Really close to Cardiff but in a very rural location. Everything we needed was in the property. Loads of room. Very clean and comfortable. Not sure we could find anywhere as good as this!
