The chateau felt homely and Franck was very friendly and informative. The breakfast was very good, especially the baguettes! It is obvious to see how much love and care Franck has put into the renovations so far and we wish him all the luck in the World for future works.
The tea/coffee making facilities were not in the room but were down the corridor in the lounge/bar. When sat around the pool, the noise of the nearby road is quite loud.

Beautiful rooms in spectacular surroundings. The host is very friendly and helpful. Nice swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and pool table. Good location, for exploring Normandy.

We felt privileged to stay in this 300 year old chateau, which is, after all, the family home of Franck. The building is very sympathetically decorated while respecting original features. My husband adored the recent addition of the hot tub and sauna and my teenagers made full use of the billiards table and trampoline so there is something for everyone. The weather was a little cool to try out the swimming pool but maybe next time..

Amazing bed, we slept better than ever

Great garden for our dog
It would be lovely to have more savoury options for breakfast for foreigners but you will be pleased if looking for a traditional French breakfast

Host was superb. Large rooms. Very comfortable bed. Secure Parking. Nice breakfast.
Nothing - it was all excellent

Fantastic breakfast, Franck could not have done more to prepare you for the day ahead. The sauna, games room, breakfast and lounge area were a real bonus. Excellent security in place and a warm welcome from the host.
Mattress was quite hard but otherwise the suite was fantastic. We asked for additional pillows which were provided immediately.

we loved how welcome we felt.
It was louder of an evening.

Location was excellent for the Ouistreham ferry. Frank was up very, very early to make us breakfast before we caught our ferry on the last day.
Another single bed so that 2 of our children didn't have to end up sharing a bed. Would have been nice to know this in advance.

Franck was an exceptional host - very welcoming and friendly. The property has been a labour of love for him over the past (I think 7) years and the rooms are beautifully and tastefully decorated with comfortable beds and great en-suite facilities. He has retained much of the charm of the old building and added some quirky touches which made us smile. The pool and garden were a great addition as was the guest lounge with drink-making facilities and comfy sofas and the cellar where there was a fridge for guest use. We didn't use the hot tub as it was 34 degrees but the cool cellar was great for a game of pool in the heat of the day. Breakfast was superb with a great choice including some local delicacies and eggs cooked to order.
Unfortunately there is only one proper restaurant in the village so you would need to plan ahead for meals if you are staying more than one night. That said, we ordered takeaway pizza which we ate on the patio - as did some of the other guests - and there is a fridge so you could picnic in the garden for dinner.

Such a Lovelly little chateaux. Very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was nice. The host was very accomidating of allergies and communicated with us even before arrival. The room was a good size for a family and the surrounding views were beautiful.

Franck is a great host giving advise on where to go and eat. Very cozy and informal atmosphere. Free drinks and great breakfast.
Could have used a small fridge in or nearby the room.

The owner was a nice man and he gave the impression that he really wants his guests to be happy
It was nice to be in walking distance of restaurants
There are also secured parking available
Breakfast was very good and nice coffee bar available
For starters we didn’t have any wardrobe space which was weird because we were there for two nights
We weren’t informed that there was no room service so found ourselves coming back to unmade beds
It didn’t make a best first impression that there was a broken window

Franck was a terrific host and took care of our every need
Les Cedres is a beautiful home and a great base from which to explore Normandy

Franck is very helpful and friendly
good breakfast
looks a bit run down but actually it’s part of the traditional character
it can be hard to find. it’s on the left if approaching from Caen. number 9 in small writing and gate is between parked cars after a zebra crossing

Amazing first time B&B experience. Host did wonderfully great..very accomodating, very helpful and knowledgeable about beautiful places to visit. The room is very clean... and the place itself is so charming. Breakfast is great! And cold cuts and cheese dinner is equally delicious!
not really a very negative point, but the place is still under renovation.. and just felt strange that there is a sauna, but there was no shower next to it. It's like a home sauna located in the basement and you just need to go up to your room to shower.😉

The garden was great, the rooms had wonderful light, the atmosphere was cozy.

Very clean and was left to feel at home, all queries to surroundings were given with plenty of advice to local amenities. A very pleasant stay and worth returning.

The place is absolutely amazing.
The only downside is how close it is to a busy road which you can hear.

Nothing of note.

It is a authentic French Chateau with all the comfort and top notch amenities: swimming pool, sauna, pool table. The house is exquisitely decorated and yet very comfortable, the park superb. Our children had fun in the pool and on the trampoline. Very easy access to Bayeux and the Plages du Debarquement. Frank and his wife Aude are wonderful hosts, hospitable, helpful and yet discreet. La vie de château quoi! We highly recommend it. Thanks again for this wonderful 2 days.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, Franck is a gracious host, and the château is shaping up to be beautiful. The location is convenient for a number of sights.
Should you opt for the half board and are offered the choice, have your meal at the château rather than the nearby restaurant.
