The accommodations are modest, as is the price. There is no air conditioning, but one is unlikely to need it very often in Orosi. The bed was fine and we appreciated the shared kitchen and dining area. Neighbourhood traffic was noisy at times but we slept OK and would be happy to stay here again. There is some great hiking in the area and Montaña Linda makes a good base camp.

Simple but all basic needs are present. The vibe is casual. If you need attention from staff, this may not be the place for you, however your needs will be met by friendly people.
I'm a big guy and the stairs and balcony are narrow. This is not a complaint, I am simply filling out the form. I have no difficulty adapting.

It was a really good-sized guest house, with good kitchen facilities and lots of room to relax in the dining room and sitting room. The garden was also really pretty.
None.

We stayed in the Apartment with Garden View, which turned out to be a self contained house with its own garden. It was a couple of blocks away from the main hostel, which was closed at the time. centrally located near shops and restaurants with a nice lounge, nice terrace, good sized kitchen with microwave, grill/oven, coffee machine, fridge, lots of crockery and utensils (cooker not working properly), twin bedroom and large double bedroom. Had to phone to get someone to check us in, and the staff member who came was very helpful and also arranged a taxi for us.
Cooker not working properly, the rings didn’t get hot enough to boil water even.

Great location! This place could be incredible with just a little bit more upkeep. Had the entire place to ourselves.
Flying ants were landing all over us at night. The downstairs common area needed some upkeep and cleaning, would make a huge difference in the feel of the place.

It was amazing. A very large and roomy house with parking. We came with our 2 kids and it was perfect for a family.
The location is great, quiet and near the center of town and the owner is very friendly and nice.

A nice premise, a good view from the balcony, clean room, good bathroom, friendly host
- Check in was a bit complicated since there is no door or doorbell but only a locked gate to the yard
- The annoying neighbor behind the house was blasting hip hop music all afternoon and evening, which is not the hostel's fault, but I've read about this complaint by other guests, so it seems to be a pattern

Superb. Montana Linda is a fantastic, friendly hostel. Orosi is a beautiful town in a breathtaking location. There is loads to do. If Don Peter is there, he'll give you the low-down on everything in Orosi.

Honestly, there is nothing I can complain about.

It partially still have a view, although banana trees are getting bigger every year. Room is medium size, has a closet nada the bathroom has a really good size. Cat pet is the best (Sibö) really cute. And free coffee for my boo, great not to have to rush out to buy coffee as soon as you get to the place.
Forgot that last time I staid the same thing happened, it's safe to say it the way they treat guest.
On bookings reservation, it states checkout is at 12md, and all in a sudden if you are not there and you get there at 11:30pm they take you things out of the room, even if you havent packed (1st time I went) or you are kind of chanced out the room before 11am, because you supposed to be out of the room by 11am and out the premises by 12 (this time).... We're is all that explained in the booking or the hostel information? And because of this sudden change of rules I forgot things over there, nothing vital but still. If you are going to have all these rules put them on the page, so customers can choose, because even if it cost more ( like one of the new options in Orosi), most likely you will be treated like any other hostel, check out is the actual stated in the reservation, and if you are going somewhere, sure take out your things out of the room, and you can stay here as long as you need... Basic customer service. Must clarify that the hostel was not full, because I understand those circumstances, we were the only ones on the second floor and it seems there was only one more person, that we never saw, but supposedly was there.
There was some dust in the bed or pillows this time, because last time I did not get any allergies, so if you are a little allergic like me, give a dust of before resting.

The guest room was clean and had a great view. The kitchen seemed well stocked.
The shared spaces weren’t clean. The neighborhood was quite noisy so very difficult to sleep. the bed springs pushed through the mattress.

The views from the property are amazing. You are close to the main road but still feel very private and remote. awesome location.
The beds were a bit uncomfortable and the bedding was a bit worn and could be replaced. although that wouldn’t keep me from staying again.

A nice room, very clean and tidy. Excellent value for money. The owner was very accommodating as we arrived later in the evening which we appreciated. Their cat came to say hello, so very cute. Great views from the balcony.
The floorboards were a bit squeaky when we walked around the room, so worried we might keep the person below awake. The WIFI wasn’t very strong and only worked downstairs in the lounge/dining area, not in our room.

However, Sebu the cat is the most lovely cat I ever encountered! He was found on the street and has made the GH his home. He joins you in the cozy living room.
I liked the chickens in the garden, with Rio Macho joining you in the kitchen looking for scraps.
Last but not least, hanging out with Pedrito and watching birds together was great! The banana tree filled garden was popular among visiting birds and the windows allowed for some excellent birdwatching! We saw a hummingbird cleaning itself on the dew sprinkled banana leaves, amazing!
Sadly, the house is being eaten by woodworms or something :(
Sebu attacking the birds on the feeder :p

We had the whole house for ourselves.
Great room and big bathroom with good and warm shower! The owner even brought me his hairdryer 😊 thanks so much!
Quite bright in the morning because no dark curtains. You should bring eyeshades if you are sensitive.

It was a beautiful space, super comfortable and clean. I wish I could have stayed longer to check out the area because there was so much great info about local trails and activities. The host was super accommodating with me coming late and wonderfully attentive.

It was a really clean place, the house was almost empty when we booked so we had the property for ourselves. Kitchen was full equipment.
neighbors were a bit noisy at night and there is a rooster who wakes you up at 4 30 am.
