A functional but basic hotel that was adequate for the short stay we had for a particular purpose.

The lobby area was spacious and comfortable. The pool area likewise. Breakfast seemed ok though I only drink coffee for breakfast. The bar was ok.

There was no food available the first day between breakfast and dinner. The food options for their lunch service in specific times was very limited. There was no room service. The whole food experience was disappointing. For vegetarians and vegans the choice is minimal and frequently you would be hard pressed to find something to eat beyond fruit. I think for this price there should be a proper coffee shop open at least all day and into the evening serving a proper menu that caters to all diets. The Gym was a joke - a tiny room with three machines crammed into it, boiling hot with a poor air-conditioner.

Very pleasant and would certainly return

The room though small was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. All the staff were friendly and made the stay a pleasant experience. Only a short walk from the beach and a number of excellent restaurants. Lovely pool area

We are early risers and buffet breakfast did not start until 8.30, at which time the hot food was on the cold side. However there was an excellent choice of foods.

Not appropriate for business travel (Disappointed!)

The staff were courteous and attentive, however, I am paying for a four-star level of service, not simply polite staff.

The breakfast service at the hotel was inflexible, with a set time of 8:30 AM. This posed a challenge for me as I had a meeting scheduled for 9:00 AM and wanted to ensure I had time to enjoy breakfast during my stay. Upon requesting an earlier breakfast arrangement, I was informed that the kitchen was closed and unable to accommodate my request. Typically, four-star hotels offer more flexibility in such matters. The sauna (hamam) was only operational between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM, which limited its accessibility for guests returning late from business engagements. The Jacuzzi (hot tub) lacked consistent water pressure and was often out of service, particularly after 6:00 PM, except during peak hours. While the hotel offered a takeaway breakfast option, the quality was subpar and did not meet the standards expected of a four-star hotel. The takeaway breakfast provided at checkout was particularly disappointing and did not reflect the quality of the hotel's regular breakfast service. In part, I hold Booking.com accountable for the unsatisfactory services I received, considering the substantial nightly rate of 160 Euros. I express my disappointment in this matter.

Tout était parfait. Accueil, design de l’hôtel, personnel, direction, buffet du petit déjeuner et du dîner. Piscine et tous les équipements. Plus que parfait

Tevreden vermits ik na twee maanden terugkeerde naar Don Paquito.

Prachtige accomodatie, erg vriendelijk personeel, goed ontbijt en een prachtig zwembad en jacuzzi's, voldoende ligplaatsen. Boven op de dakverdieping nieuw nu ook een lekker vlees restaurant en bar.

De jongedame op de middag aan de receptie had blijkbaar nog nooit van Welcome of Goedendag gehoord. Kende blijkbaar slechts vier woorden " Check-inn ? Three o clock. Dat was het....niet erg boutique

Ett litet minus var gymmet, kan inte riktigt kallas för ett gym - men hotellet var topp i sin helhet ändå!

Alles is schoon, ontbijt prima met genoeg variatie. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk

Aanrader, komen zeker nog een keer terug!

Prima ligging tov vliegveld Malaga. Rustige gedeelte van Torremolinos, met een kleine wandeling kun je zo de drukte opzoeken. Na uitchecken kun je nog gebruik maken van douche faciliteiten zodat je fris richting airport kan, hotel verstrekt handdoeken en douchegel. Aanrader!

Soggiorno piacevole

La posizione comoda alla spiaggia e alla passeggiata. Personale gentile e disponibile. Camere pulite ma sicuramente da rimodernare nel mobilio (manca un appoggio per le valigie), bagno pulito ma anche qui lo specchio assolutamente da cambiare (è un minuscolo mobiletto anni 70) e manca un piano di appoggio. Piscina carina, un po’ piccolo lo spazio. Hall e ristorante carino ma i soffitti sono troppo pasticciati. Less is more. Colazione e cena varie e con buoni prodotti.

Le camere sono da ammodernare nei mobili

Perfect

3rd time at the Essence Hotel and will definitely go back. Everything and everyone was exceptional. Plenty of food choices at breakfast and dinner - we were half board. Hot food was exactly that, with hot plates to put it on if wanted. Also ate at the pool barbeque on a number of occasions and food was very good there as well. Drinks very reasonable. We hired towels which were €10 each, but fully refundable when returned. We have stayed in loads of different hotels in Torremolinos over the years and can’t complain about any of them but thought we’d “splash out” as it was our 30th wedding anniversary and we were so glad we did. Thank you so much Hotel Essence for a fabulous holiday 😁 - hope to see you again soon.

Perfekter Kurzurlaub mit Geruchsbelästigung

Lage am Strand! Warme Pools, gutes gesundes Frühstück mit lecker Kaffee und vor allem bis 11 Uhr

Im Zimmer kam immer wieder ein komischer Geruch auf! Das muss in den Gruff gebracht werden, ist unangenehm u mehrmals täglich!

Pleasant but beware of very small rooms

nice location, great decor and finishings, very clean

beds and rooms were tiny. we stayed for two nights and it was manageable but any longer than that and it would have been difficult. breakfast was a good range but disappointing in quality of some items

Fantastic, small boutique hotel very close to beach and amenities

The food was excellent! Well presented and very tasty. Overall appearance of hotel and good quality decor.

Do not agree with paying 50 euro on arrival for mini bar and was going to be charged for something we didn't have! Should charge at end of stay if required. Should have a courtesy room for guests who are leaving.

Lovely boutique hotel near sea front.

Lovely, quiet hotel even though it was close to bars & the sea front. Nice room, a bit on the small size but ok for a 3 night stay. Lovely on suite with a good shower. Plenty of hot water. Room was very clean & serviced daily. The hotel was in a good location about 1 minute walk to the beach & sea front. Nice pool area, though not enough sun loungers. Food was very good, A nice breakfast with plenty of selection. Buffet evening meal was excellent. Good quality well presented food. Plenty of choice & most of it was very tasty.

I found the bed a bit too hard for me. I felt the shelf in the wardrobe was too high which meant that I couldn't hang my dresses properly It was difficult to get a sun lounger. As often happens some people were putting towels on sun loungers but not using them for a couple of hours. There were two seater sun loungers but often only one person was using them. I noticed some couples had a double lounger to themselves.

Lovely hotel

Comfortable room, nice staff, good pool, great location, great breakfast and they a good diner buffet. All in all a really pleasant stay.

Minor things, the lock on the sliding doors t the balcony was broken so when you closed them it was very difficult to open again. One of the Jacuzzis didn't work. And poolside towels would be handy.

Nice hotel and friendly staff.

Good location for the beach but a taxi ride into town so as a visitor make a decision whether the beach or town is your preference. The room was nice and spacious and the hotel very clean. Breakfast was really good with a great choice and good times it is served from. All staff very nice and friendly.

The beds were a bit hard and the pillows a bit too soft.

Overall very good

Location was great,staff was very friendly. The hotel is not too big so it is not overcrowded and you can enjoy some time by the pool without feeling like a sardine. The breakfast had a good variety.

The bed could have been a little bigger. Also, there should be some minor reparations around the hotel in terms of cracked glass on the balconies and the bathrooms could benefit from a small redo of the silicone.
