Room was clean and nicely decorated.
Felt that the hotel was over priced. They were very strict with their check in time, had to wait until exactly 3pm before checking in.
4.1
The location and the decor
The staff starting at reception
One of the reasons for using this hotel was the hot tub, apparently it has been out of service for weeks
We were treated like 3rd class citizens because we were not on a coach tour, even worse we booked through Booking.Com

Great full Scottish breakfast. Room was nice & spacious, really needed a desk under the tv as plenty of sockets there for laptop etc... Bed comfortable, we slept well.
Water pressure was quite low as our room was right at the end of the corridor. It took a long time for the hot water to come through. Nowhere to use my laptop, need a desk as there is plenty of space. I asked at reception but was told none available. Ended up moving the radio & setting up next to the tea-tray moving the kettle to the bedside cabinet. The price of meals was very high & portions looked so small. We ate out.

Very helpful staff at reception and in the restaurant. Room was comfortable, clean with good facilities including a large TV and excellent shower. Loved the pool.

The room was beautiful and clean
£16 for breakfast was ridiculous!!!! Woman on breakfast told me there was no latte, 20 minutes later she is giving another table lattes!!

We loved the surroundings and the staff working there. They were so nice bringing a bottle of prosecco to our room because my wife's birthday. So much appreciate it!
4.1
The location is stunning. The hotel & spa staff were all excellent. Breakfast was perfect. Loved sitting in the reception area with a coffee.
I had a bath 2 nights in a row. I found the temperature quite cold in both occasions.

Our room was amazing. We stayed for part of our honeymoon and had one of the suites with a hot tub and used it every day. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
We ran out of hot water for nearly 24 hours, but they couldn’t have been more apologetic. The restaurant was quite average and breakfast was not terribly consistent. Some mornings there would be butter on the buffet table, others there wouldn’t. Some days when we asked for toast they’d bring a couple of bits and other days they’d bring 8! It was a bit frustrating, but didn’t really spoil our stay at all.

Beautiful view from lobby and restaurant. Rooms were spacious.
We had to walk up and down stairs and zigzag through halls to get to our rooms which were the last two on the very end of the property. It was an unbelievably long distance!

Lovely views
Terrible value for money. The food was overpriced at 8 pounds for a very small plate of watery soup. I also had a very plain plate of fish and chips but had to eat a pack of sandwiches back in my room to fill me up. I waited 40 mins for my breakfast and by the time it arrived my coffee and toast were long gone.

Good location, very comfortable bed, lovely linen and toiletries. Excellent breakfast and choices, porridge was amazing. . Room was comfortable. Beautiful and peaceful.
We'd paid extra for a sea view room but were disappointed that it was a bit of a stretch of the description. Technically we could see a bit of the sea and appreciate that it's more important that trees can flourish and stretch but as regards " sea view" ...well.

A stunning location and absolutely beautiful interiors and rooms.

The hotel and surroundings are absolutely amazing. Especially loved the wilderness retreat which is a must if your lucky enough ti be staying here.
Had to check out!

We only stayed one night but must have interacted with at least 10 staff members who were all amazing and made us feel very relaxed. We’ll be back.
We traveled by train and on foot. Even the short walk through the fairy glen from the ferry to the hotel is what makes this place so special. Our furry friend was well looked after too.
4.1
lovely room, good location and facilities.
There were a lot of stairs to carry heavy luggage and a bit of a confusing layout.
4.1
The staff were very welcoming and friendly particularly to our dog. The hotel is extremely dog friendly providing water bowls and beds in the public areas.
The pillows were a little flat.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Great breakfast and evening meal. The bedroom was comfortable and we had a view of the sea.

This hotel is outstanding. The lounge area is so cozy and comfortable with the log burner, lovely music and a breathtaking view. The staff are so friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast was simply amazing and you really could have ad much as you wanted. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was also outstanding. We booked a deluxe room and so the spa facilities were included in our rate. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the spa and swimming pool. We had such a relaxing stay and I don’t often say this about a hotel but I will definitely be back.
There is nothing about this hotel that I did not like.

Staff lovely, manager very welcoming, beautiful place, room clean and tidy , bed comfortable, food was very good. Nice if there was a bath but that was minor as the shower was great
4.1
The property is beautiful and is very well designed, very open but also gives you the cosy feeling with the dark furnishings and the warm fire.
Some of the staff were lacking ,not very welcoming. Breakfast time was very noisy and not a very calm atmosphere. Were left to our own devices at the pool no one to welcome or show us where to go. Fire alarm went off very early in the morning, there was no one to let us know everything was okay it’s just stopped there was also no apology for this either. Expected more from this hotel.

The hotel was cozy and the staff were very friendly. Our room was amazing and had superb views. Very accommodating to our dog, we felt very welcome. Spa area was lovely and definitely worth a trip - we particularly loved the mud masks.
No complaints, only surprise was how expensive the restaurant was but it’s on par with the rest of the island. Island restaurants tend to be a little more. But lovely food and very attentive staff.

A lovely welcome from Gavin at reception to the lovely room with a bath as requested. The decor if the hotel is lovely, the room is lovely as well, large comfy bed.

Cozy atmosphere, great location and lovely staff. The dinner at the restaurant with fresh seafood was superb.
The hotel has been newly refurbished but some areas still looks a bit outdated.
