Lovely views, great location, very friendly hosts

Great location (although we kept fit by the 170 steps up from the beach/old city), beautiful views, well appointed apartment, very friendly and helpful hosts (lovely strudle)

The apartment was lovely, very clean and well furnished with lovely views of the old city from the edge of the terrace. The owner of the apartment was lovely and very helpful, going above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay. I took sick the night we arrived and when we contacted to ask advice about local doctors she personally came to check on us and drove us to the hospital and waited with us. Thankfully the hospital got me sorted and I was back on my feet the next day. They checked in with us again the next day to ensure I was doing OK and see if we needed anything at all. On our final day we had a late evening flight and after checking out we were able to store our luggage and given access to a private area with a bathroom to freshen up before our flight.

Best vacation ever, did not want to leave!

Villa Leoni is the perfect home away from home. The location is perfect; the apartment is beautiful, and it had everything we needed. The view was INCREDIBLE and it was a very comfortable stay. The hosts are the absolute best! Lucijana is the sweetest, and is the most attentive person ever. Our Dubrovnik experience was beyond our expectations, and it was in large part due to our stay at Villa Leoni.

Beautiful view of Adriatic Sea and Old Town.

Beautiful view of Old town on the terrace. Location far enough to get out of the hustle and bustle from the tourist area, but close enough that it’s literally a flight of stairs to get into Old Town. Hosts very friendly and accommodating; provided lots of info and suggestions. always a text or call away. Pickup from airport by their driver who is just as friendly and told us about locations as he drive us to Villa. Overall an experience well not forget.

Really enjoyed our stay

fantastic location, lovely and bright and clean. Great views. Joseph was a great host, collected us from bus, great advice and responded to any queries. Booked kayaking trip for us which was super. Highly recommend.

only downside is there are a lot of steps, but that is Dubrovnik

Villa Leoni is ideally placed - close to the beach, to the old town and a lot of nice restaurants. The owners of the place make you feel very welcomed and are truly helpful. Highly recommended.

There was a construction going on nearby, but one can't do much about that.

Amazing location in Dubrovnik just above the Banje beach, a few minutes walk from the Old town. Very clean and newly refurbished appartment equipped with everything you need. There is a balcony with a sea view, great for breakfast outdoors. We stayed for New years eve and heated floors made the room hot enough so we didn't even use air con heating. There is Android smart tv with Netflix and wifi was fast. All the entrance doors have coded locks so no need for keys. Our host was great and very helpful. There is a free dedicated parking spot and that is a must in Dubrovnik if arriving by car. We"ll be coming back definitely. Recommended.

We waited to write this review to be as objective as possible. Feel let down and pricey stay

Pros – proximity to Banje beach and the Old Town. Very comfortable bed. Clean apartment. View from bedroom window

Cons – steps in both directions. In total there were 138 deep hazardous steps down and up from the beach, so we would not recommend this apartment for those with breathing or mobility issues. Had we been aware we would not have booked. To avoid these steps you can walk downhill but inevitably you are faced with cardiac hill on return or get an expensive taxi from the taxi rank at the castle.The apartment we booked did not meet our expectations – see enclosed photos. It was a mish mash of ikea furniture, thrown together and not well maintained. Both curtains had rips, furniture and paintwork was badly scuffed, electrics in kitchen were unconventional at best. (see picture of extension sockets) We booked this accommodation was because of the patio or outside space – however this was not attached to the apartment and we had to walk round the building, pass another apartment front door to our locked area. This patio was filled with a mish mash of too much furniture leading us to think this was a store area. Because of the position, lack of privacy and shade we did not use and we really felt let down by this. Therefore we went out every day and if going to Banje beach, this can be expensive if using the facilities and restaurant there. There was one washing machine for all which was often busy and situated in a communal courtyard area. Host did provide helpful information by text but apartment lacks a book/ information file with details on shops, getting around, taxis and take away info etc. Iron and ironing board was included in the itinerary but was not there and we had to ask several times for this. Host delivered it 24hrs into the holiday. The lack of the last two points meant we had to have contact with the hosts several times which we would not normally experience when booking private accommodation. Host also organised a private taxi transfer which we paid them direct for. Booking.

The best view of Adriatic Sea and Old Town Dubrovnik!

The apartment exceeded all expectations. The hosts were very nice and helpful. The view from the balcony was amazing with perfect view of the water and old town. Loved having coffee in the morning watching the sun come up. We can’t say enough! Highly recommend this apartment.

Only downside if there is one is that apartment is at top of a steep staircase so it’s a challenge going up and down but not a problem if you take your time.

Lost one day in Dubrovnik as connection flight in Vienna was cancelled - big pity

This was a flatlet so breakfast was not included. A toast & capuccino for 2 in the historic centre of Dubrovnik cost us 56 Euro

I suffer from the heat so would have preferred a stronger air conditioner

Really enjoyed everything about the stay. Our host was exceptionally welcoming and helpful and gave us plenty of great recommendations on popular tourist attractions and areas to visit which we really appreciated. Our accommodation was the perfect size for the two of us and really clean with a really lovely view of the sea and the Old Town from our balcony. Couldn’t fault our stay here

Beautiful view from a nicely furnished apartment close to town

Beautiful view from the spacious deck. Large bathroom and a good kitchen setup.

There are no hooks to hang anything in the bathroom.

We had a very warm welcome from the properties host. Great help throughout too (We went kayaking by recommendation and loved it!)The property is a perfect location, a short walk into the Historic town, accessed by steps or street above. Villa Leoni was a lovely apartment, modern, clean and cosy, our apartment also had a great balcony to relax on too. A fabulous place to stay!
