Awful experiences, don't book it please!
Near to Haad Rin
The treatment of the hostel staff is terrible, except for one of the guys, the rest treat you very badly. We had an awful event, happened to us on the day of the full moon party, the hostel was filled with people both inside and outside and several were using the facilities as bathrooms or tables, one of the boys in our group entered to our bathroom (of our room) , and the host, rather than warning or drawing attention, made a spectacle in front of all the people, shouting, mocking and even going so far as to get into a fight, touching his arm. I perfectly understand that the hostel has rules and one were broken, not only by us, by the entire hostel, but in no context is this the way to treat a person, I condemn the treatment and it is not justified. On other hand, the shared rooms have 14 beds and it didn't put it in the booking add, 14 beds in a 45-meter room. I'll never come back, and I recommend you stay in another one, there are more options around, specially in full moon party days.

Very good
This property has been fantastic! It is spacious, it has the BEST smoothies, and they were able to call taxis for us. It is wonderful for the price you pay. Obviously during full moon festival prices rise, but the location is hard to beat. You also do not have to pay for a ticket because they give you a wristband at checkin which is nice.

Good place, terrible beds
The location is good. Very good for full moon party and on the edge of town. A 7-11 is only 2 minutes away. Room is a decent size with a fridge. The AC was good enough though we had to complain and they came and fixed it.
Being close to the full moon party means you hear the music until it ends which at the moment was 4am. The worst thing about the place was the beds. Incredibly uncomfortable, hard with obvious springs poking into your back. I barely slept for the 3 nights I was there and had a bad back at the end. The mattress had bloodstains and the bedcovers were slightly dirty and had bloodstains too. The room is not cleaned during your stay at all.

Property was well kept, restaurant was delicious and good value. Room was clean with strong AC!
my only criticism was the bed was so incredibly hard it was like sleeping on wood flooring.

only for full moon party
We chose to stay in this hotel for its proximity to the full moon party but to be honest Haad Rin is not the best location on the island to stay when there are better beaches and areas. well, it is a basic motel close to the beach and clean. Kim at the reception is a superb help and she is always in her best mood. the rooms were extremely basic with simplistic bathrooms, yet with good aircon. if it was not for the party, I would have easily stayed in a five star quality hotel with the money I paid for yogurt home.
I didn’t like the fact how much they charge during the full moon party ! and how crowded and loud it could get in the garden with drunk or high people till morning.
