The treatment of the hostel staff is terrible, except for one of the guys, the rest treat you very badly. We had an awful event, happened to us on the day of the full moon party, the hostel was filled with people both inside and outside and several were using the facilities as bathrooms or tables, one of the boys in our group entered to our bathroom (of our room) , and the host, rather than warning or drawing attention, made a spectacle in front of all the people, shouting, mocking and even going so far as to get into a fight, touching his arm. I perfectly understand that the hostel has rules and one were broken, not only by us, by the entire hostel, but in no context is this the way to treat a person, I condemn the treatment and it is not justified. On other hand, the shared rooms have 14 beds and it didn't put it in the booking add, 14 beds in a 45-meter room.
I'll never come back, and I recommend you stay in another one, there are more options around, specially in full moon party days.

This property has been fantastic! It is spacious, it has the BEST smoothies, and they were able to call taxis for us. It is wonderful for the price you pay. Obviously during full moon festival prices rise, but the location is hard to beat. You also do not have to pay for a ticket because they give you a wristband at checkin which is nice.

To be honest nothing!!!
The rooms are very outdated and need a paint at least!!! I had to get another room in the resort next door😤

Just a few meters to the beach and bars and restaurants
Lovely colorful houses

The location is good. Very good for full moon party and on the edge of town. A 7-11 is only 2 minutes away.
Room is a decent size with a fridge. The AC was good enough though we had to complain and they came and fixed it.
Being close to the full moon party means you hear the music until it ends which at the moment was 4am.
The worst thing about the place was the beds. Incredibly uncomfortable, hard with obvious springs poking into your back. I barely slept for the 3 nights I was there and had a bad back at the end.
The mattress had bloodstains and the bedcovers were slightly dirty and had bloodstains too.
The room is not cleaned during your stay at all.

Property was well kept, restaurant was delicious and good value. Room was clean with strong AC!
my only criticism was the bed was so incredibly hard it was like sleeping on wood flooring.

We chose to stay in this hotel for its proximity to the full moon party but to be honest Haad Rin is not the best location on the island to stay when there are better beaches and areas. well, it is a basic motel close to the beach and clean. Kim at the reception is a superb help and she is always in her best mood. the rooms were extremely basic with simplistic bathrooms, yet with good aircon. if it was not for the party, I would have easily stayed in a five star quality hotel with the money I paid for yogurt home.
I didn’t like the fact how much they charge during the full moon party ! and how crowded and loud it could get in the garden with drunk or high people till morning.

The staff were lovely, location was right off the beach which is great and has a lot of bars for the evening entertainment. Highly recommended to visit Burger Shack by Senses which is around the corner.
They didn’t housekeep our rooms throughout the stay which we didn’t mind as we’re very self-efficient. We paid extra for a ‘deluxe room’ but it was virtually the same as regular. The photos are very deceiving - it’s more dark and outdated than it looks like (especially the bathroom). A bit overpriced for what it is but that’s what you get on this entire island (prepare to be ripped off by tuk tuks on a daily basis if you’re not renting a motorbike).

Location was perfect for full moon, and very good the rest of the time. Decent hostel atmosphere (for the hostel rooms), and outside bench area good for socialising. Staff very helpful

Good place, good location, set in a nice garden very near main beach.
Comfortable, clean and everything worked.
No hammock. Big balcony, could easily have one.

Perfect location: a couple of minutes' from the beach so it was easiest to walk across the beach to get places than to use the paths. Right behind Tommy's Resort for nice meals with a beach view. Veranda overlooking lovely green courtyard. Plenty of lights in the room, which is not common in other Thai rooms. Frosted windows for privacy plus natural light. Curtains that had velcro strips so were easy to open and close. A huge vanity to get ready, as well as the bathroom mirror. Hot water shower. A BIG king sized bed even though I just booked a standard room. I also ended up walking nine mins each night to Wet! Pool Party hostel to meet people as it was nice and close and a good social hostel. My room was spacious, comfy, and clean. It had two good sized bins, a huge bedside table, shelves and a cupboard and three hooks for my clothes. When someone passed out in my bed after the FMP (!) they quickly changed all the bedding over. They also completely made up my room (changed all bedding etc, not just a cursory sweep) another afternoon I was out even though I didn't ask. Yoghurt be my #1 choice next time for sure! It books out MONTHS in advance though so do not delay - friends were in way worse rooms that cost the same or more.
The only thing missing was a fridge but I didn't expect one. Also I came back from the Full Moon Party to find some drunk girl passed out in my bed!!! At first I was so stressed that my room wasn't secure, but later realised I must not have locked the door properly, which is a bit easy to do as it's just a push button and if you're not careful it unlocks as you close it. So check the door is locked 100 times before you leave!! It didn't happen again!

Best location for full moon party. Clean, quite, friendly.

Excellent location near to the Full Moon Party - just 1 minute walk to the beach. They give free paints for the party. There is a nice restaurant attached to the property. Great group of people in my hostel.
The bed is not super comfortable, but most people don't come to sleep. I wouldn't recommend staying in Kho Phangan for more than 2 nights. There's not much here other than the full moon party. I stayed 4 nights and that was way too long.
