This is a unique two bedroom, dog friendly cottage situated on The Bay holiday complex. The ground floor provides an open plan family living, dining and kitchen area along with a cloakroom and entrance hall. The contemporary styled living area features an electric "log-burner" stove and gliding bi-fold patio door, opening onto a paved patio area. A brick-built barbecue and wooden patio furniture provide the ultimate alfresco dining experience. Free high-speed fibre broadband WI-FI provided.

Situated nearby Beach Haven Cottage for joint holidays.

We had a lovely week at Beachcomber Cottage. Nice and spacious with everything we needed. Plenty of plates, cutlery etc and things to cook with. Liked the fact there were parking spaces right next to the house. Welcome pack was a nice touch. Location of the house on the estate is good, not far to pool, playground and pub.

Lovely holiday home on a quiet, well maintained complex. We had a relaxing stay and it had all the essentisls needed for a family stay with young children. A couple of extra things to note if travelling with young children: No blinds in bedrooms (but we always prepare for this and we took a blackout travel blind with us for the room where kids slept). No bedguard for the single bed (there was a gap between bed and wall which a child could slip down) but again we brought with us a bedguard incase of this, which worked well. No childrens plates/ bowls/ cutlery so you would need to bring some with you. Plenty of storage room in bedrooms and a nice open-plan downstairs area leading on to a grassed area. Could do with a touch-up on some paint work on stairwell and zips on sofa cushions broken (minor things to sort in order to add attention to detail but it didn't bother us). Shower was not very powerful, didn’t seem to have a pump, but water was hot. Could do with a couple of champagne glasses too., just incase of celebration fizz! It takes about a 15 min leisurely stroll to beautiful beach and there is some facilities on-site if want to use. Really good value for money and we will definitely be back to stay again. guard for the single bed for our toddler

The property as everything you need from appliances to children's toys, perfect location like a home from home. The only downside was the cleanliness wasn't how it normally is e.g dishwasher was still full from previous guests, dog hairs on sofas and on living room floor didn't really want to get hoover and start cleaning on day one of my stay.

Such a lovely holiday home. Really good size and perfect for having small children in tow. Location perfect for both beach and Filey itself. Host emailed all the info we needed in a very useful pack (pdf) prior to the trip. Really excellent. Would stay again 100%

We had another great stay at The Bay Filey. First time in Nigel’s house but hopefully not the last. Nigel is a fantastic host and his house was everything we needed for a weekend away. Perfect location with all the amenities you need.

This is our second visit to the property- it is modern, clean and has the things that make staying that bit easier- dishwasher, washer/dryer etc. We had our grandchildren with us and although we didn’t use the pool or other facilities on the complex this time, the kids enjoyed riding their bikes around. We like the fact that the beach is just a short walk away at the rear of the complex, so easy to make the most of any decent weather when it comes along. A good base for visits to Brid, Scarborough and Filey. We will almost certainly booked again next year.

On the whole we loved this cottage- location,amenities everything we needed. The shower wasn't very powerful and only had large overhead - would prefer lower moveable hose and the bathroom fan went on for ages whichwas frustratingin the night. Struggled to open the key safe- and although we have stayed in and around filey on numerous occasions it was the first time we had stayed at the Bay and we couldn't find welcome pack with details about amenities- shop opening times etc.

Loved the setting, close to the beach, holiday village is brilliant with everything you could ask for and not too far from Scarborough if you fancy a visit . Beds at the house were really uncomfortable but other than that the stay was great and Nigel the host could not have done more for us.

We stayed at Beachcomber Cortage for a post Christmas break with our 2 grown up children and our little puppy. The cottage is beautiful, spotlessly clean throughout with all the facilities you couple possibly need. The added surprise of the Christmas tree made our stay feel more personal and we loved the little touch of the welcome pack. We will definitely be staying again!!

Originally booked for one night but stayed for two. Property was very home from home and nice and warm. I especially enjoyed using the large bath to have a soak in. Close to all amenities with being nearer bottom of estate and less than 19 min walk to beach. Close to Bridlington Scarborough and flamborough all worth a visit especially flambrough I got to see the seals. Would definitely return. Staff in local pub were very helpful and food was good. Nigel the host very helpful. Thanks for a great break just what we needed.

Spacious, nicely furnished property. The boys loved the outside spaces and the swimming pool. The park is nicely set out, but the gardens need the weeds removed and generally tidied up. Good location, if you can manage the climb back up from the beach!

Comfortable property in a good position. Everything you need for a stay by the sea. Easy access to facilities and the beach. Loved the setting, only negative being the small size of the on site swimming pool and poor condition of football pitch. We hopefully will be staying again.

The property has everything you need from clean bedding and towels, cooking implements, wash facilities, games for the kids and a short distance to the beach. Everything at you're finger tips. Alongside the property you have access to the leisure facilities at no extra cost and the cleanliness of the site is fab.

We enjoyed our recent stay. Property was very smartly presented and clean. We were there with our 3 year old grandson who enjoyed cycling around the site . Easy access to the beach and we found the little playground on our last morning there Considering booking again for next year , now we know the accommodation is high standard
