About this house rental

Comfortable and quiet house surrounded by greenery with a panoramic view of the salt pans of Trapani and the Egadi Islands. Ideal for families with children, or for couples of friends. It is located in a countryside about 600/700 meters high, 5 minutes by car from the Ancient town of Erice and 15 minutes by car from the city of Trapani, where the coast of San Giuliano is easily accessible. The house consists of a large kitchen complete with accessories, an outdoor veranda where you can enjoy the Panorama, have breakfast and dinner, two bathrooms with shower, 3 bedrooms, one of which is a master bedroom, a bedroom with a bed single, and an attic with panoramic terrace, with two double beds. The house is also equipped with a barbecue, deck chairs and tables for outdoor use. It is perfect for lovers of tranquility, relaxation, nature, for those who love walking in the mountains, in the woods and vegetation. 5 minutes from the house is also the Ovovia plant that connects Erice to Trapani in 10 minutes. Upon your arrival, the owners will be happy to show you the most renowned areas of the province, and advise you on the most suggestive places to visit.

Very comfortable, large home in secluded area with spectacular view. The oregano and mint growing wild was an extra treat. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The review would be better if the house had, in fact, been three bedrooms. But there was one nice bedroom with queen and one small bedroom with single, then an attic-loft arrangement with two queens that was reached by a five-step ladder -- dangerous at night. The attic ceiling sloped low and it was hot. The views from the house are fantastic, the kitchen and patio large and very pleasant. There is only one dim lamp in the living room. The host does not speak English.

Sehr schön eingerichtetes Haus mit traumhafter Aussicht-diese hat ihren Preis in zeitintensiver Anfahrt über eine Alpenpässen vergleichbare Serpentinenstraße. Letzte 100 Meter Feldweg. Wir haben uns in „Omas Landhaus“ sehr wohl gefühlt, dem Ambiente und Preis entsprechend muss man kleine Unzulänglichkeiten in Kauf nehmen. Paola ist eine sehr liebe, zuverlässige und gut erreichbare Gastgeberin - Tante Grazie!

Ein wunderschönes Haus, gemütliche Einrichtung, voll ausgestattete Küche. Super Terrasse, absolut empfehlenswert. Kontakt mit der Vermieterin unkompliziert. Das Einzige, was man verbessern könnte wäre eine Heizung im Haus. Es war Anfang November doch etwas kühl. Sonst aber alles super! :-)

Great place!

We had a great time! The house was located very private with green surroundings and amazing view. The kitchen had all we needed and the house is very spacious. I’m the end we spent most of the time outside on the terrace with a dining table and a hammock. Paola was very quick in answering any questions we had. The only negative thing was the house next door had dogs that was barking during the night which sometimes made it hard to sleep. But we would recommend the house and would book it again.

Amazing views, history and romantic

We were very surprised at how expansive the house was. Wish we had come with friends. That outdoor living space included a bq and a couple of choices of terraces for sun and shade . The kitchen was great and the. 1663 part of the hose had a beautiful functioning fireplace. We hike on a great forest trail (603) into the amazing hilltop town of Erice. Most intriguing was were anymore had been made for Venus - which we looked up at from the house. fantastic . Paula made was so friendly and ready to answer anything with what’sapp. There is no wifi, which made this week stay all the more romantic and relaxing. Wr hope to come back .

Stunning location

This property is beautiful - the photos just don't do it justice. It's a lovely place and I only wish we could have stayed longer. If we ever make it back to Sicily, I would definitely stay there again! Paola is responsive and even contacted me after I accidentally left a camera memory card. A car is definitely recommended and the road is not for the faint of heart but the view is worth it!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la maison de Paola. La terrasse, le calme, la superbe vue sur la baie de Trapani et enfin la proximité avec le superbe village de Erice (au sommet d'un colline culminant à environ 700m d'altitude) sont indéniablement les points forts de la maison. Paola et son mari sont très accueillants et sympathiques. Ceux-ci nous ont fourni de précieux conseils pendant notre séjour en Sicile.

Excellent view and close to Erice

The house was certainly large enough and close to Erice, where there was a lot to see. Our only problem was that it was very cold in the house. They had three electric heaters, but only one could be run at one time without blowing fuses. This would be perfect if the weather was much warmer outside. We would stay there again if it were a warmer weather outside. The large terrace and view was wonderful.

Thank you, Paola, for being a wonderful host. The house had everything we needed and was in a lovely location with views over the sea and landscape. We were a short 20 minute walk to Erice, where I was able to take a course in making cannoli and Casata di Siciliana from Maria Grammatico. What a fun experience!x I would highly recommend this Casa Santa home for a quiet, peaceful vacation.

Sehr schönes, großes, altes Haus, das auf dem Berg unterhallb der mittelalterlichen Stadt Erice liegt. Es ist über eine Serpentinenstraße zu erreichen. Man hat eine großartige Aussicht auf die Küste mit den Salinen sowie die vorgelagerten Inseln. Das Haus hat eine große, überdachte Terasse mit Hängematte sowie ein weitläufiges Grundstück in ruhiger Lage. Es ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Vermieterin Paola war sehr hilfsbereit und reagierte schnell auf Anfragen. Da wir spät abends im Dunkeln angekommen waren, hatten wir uns mit Paola unten im Ort am Lidl getroffen und wurden dann von ihr nach oben geführt. Leider war es zu unserer Zeit Anfang April noch recht kühl, und das Haus hat keine richtige Heizung sondern nur kleine Heizlüfter. Später im Jahr ist das aber sicherlich kein Problem, deshalb können wir das Haus dann sehr empfehlen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sonst sehr genossen!

The house is great with an amazing view and fast access to center of Erice and Trapani. Paola is extremely nice and correct. She booked an excellent local restaurant with reasonable prices. Highly recommended! La casa es genial, con una vista increíble y acceso rápido al centro de Erice y Trapani. Paola es extremadamente agradable y correcta. Ella reservó un excelente restaurante local con precios razonables. Muy recomendado!

Perfect location.

A very spacious farmhouse in a quiet location in an excellent position. Stunning views for 10 miles along the Trapani coastline and salt flats and the hilltop town of Erice behind us! Very nice outside areas including a covered patio and a rooftop terrace. House rules - there were none! Treat the house as if it was your own - what a lovely statement to read. 30 minute uphill walk to Erice (quicker coming back down the hill!) Paola was extremely helpful and very friendly; she replies to texts and emails immediately. She even sent several texts to check that everything was okay. We could hear dogs barking during the night but they stopped when it was daylight.

Un angolo di fresca tranquillità

Ci siamo sentiti come a casa nostra, accolti con calore e tanta disponibilità. La casa è spaziosa, ben tenuta e con una vista mozzafiato sulla piana delle saline di Trapani e Marsala. Essendo sulla collina di Erice, si gode di una temperatura impensabile anche per la vicina Trapani. Il luogo è perfetto per chi cerca silenzio e tranquillità.

Schitterend groot huis met een geweldig uitzicht net onder het plaatsje Erice. Wel een smal weggetje ernaar toe maar verder super. Paola is een vriendelijke vrouw en samen met haar man Enzo staat ze voor je klaar. Ze pikken je ook op in Trapani om samen naar het huis te rijden want het is niet zo maar te vinden.

We loved Casa Santa just down the hill from one of Sicily’s most iconic and beautiful hill towns—Ericé. You are perched on a hill and can see the castle in Erice and the sea and islands off the coast, This is the casa of your Italian imagination—built centuries ago—you can feel the history. Great kitchen and garden areas, 2 bedrooms plus sleeping loft with 3 beds, 2 full baths, pizza oven outdoors, indoor fireplace.....and a lot of ambiance. Very much recommended. Car suggested, as it’s a drive up a windy road from Trapani and about a kilometer up to Erice! Erice is wonderful! Home to the most famous Italian pastry shop! Vivenzo and Paola are super nice!
