Pleasant and helpful staff.
Room: spacious and clean. Dining experience : good food in pleasant dining room overlooking harbour.
Parking facilities near hotel not ideal.

Room was really spacious, clean and lovely to stay in. We had motorbikes and staff helped us store the bikes and store our kit.
If we were being jolly picky our room was not brilliantly sound proofed against noise from guests in the room above the bed.

Friendly, polite staff and great food, super breakfasts!!
The running cistern in bathroom, all weekend!! The racket the pipes made, must be a pressure issue, it was like a rocket taking offBoth reported to staff, so heres hopin !!

Very comfortable bed.
Large room , a little bare.
Exceptional breakfast , great choices, good coffee, nice server. Good view of the sea from the large windows of the breakfast room
Great location for strolling along the Harbour front of Anstruther
There is no real reception you have to go to the bar and wait until one of the bar tenders are available to check you in .
I paid for the room in cash when we checked in early evening. Next morning they billed my card and I had to request a refund. The cash payment hadn't been recorded properly the night before.
The room is large but the decoration is really old fashioned and tired. Huge brown curtains, nothing modern about this room, except the bed, which in fairness was very comfortable. Table and a couple of chairs, Television on the far wall opposite the bed. Functional but definitely needs updating, some Art work might lift the drabness and some brighter bed covers.

Very comfy bed. Good breakfast, and dinner. Staff were great.
Check out could be extended later.

The room we had was brilliant. 27a. Kitchen area . Lounge our own outside patio.
4.5
Spacious and comfortable room; terrific food and staff could not be more helpful. Would definitely go back.
Our only issue was parking, which is really outside their control given the location.

The bed was extremely comfortable and exceptionally clean. The breakfast was terrific and staff was very attentive. It's a rather unique property and I'm glad I was able to stay there - and would again.
My room was on the street side, at street level. While it's not a busy street, that meant that any noise on the street was as if it was right next to me. And because I was at street level, the bottom two-thirds of the window was opaque. I like being able to have the blinds open and to see outside. I wouldn't say I didn't like it, and I was able to sleep, but that was what I liked least, I suppose.
3.5
it was in a convenient location, the rooms were pleasant, clean and good facilities.
The breakfast! One of our party had the full Scottish which he was happy enough with but the others not so much. Scrambled eggs were inedible. Poached eggs were swimming in a pool of vinegar making them quite unpleasant. Sadly it was our lasting memory of our stay there and is reflected in the Value for money score.

noise from public bar at night and traffic noise most of might. rooms facing the sea might be better. lack of parking also an issue.

It was close to get to St. Andrews as we were going to the Open. The rooms were very spacious and the vegetarian breakfast was one of the best we’ve had, very friendly staff too.
There was a lot of noise from the bar outside on an evening until the hotel bar was closed as people were standing outside, there was also a lot of traffic noise during the night as it’s situated near the main road.
4.5
Location is amazing, views from the dining room and garden are beautiful. The staff were friendly and happy to help. The bar area is nice after a long journey.
The room was in the basement and very creaky floor above. It was however a nice space.

Location was great and a very nice / spacious room.
Breakfast - with Anstruther being a fishing town and seeing kippers on the menu I thought it would be a proper kipper, sadly it was 2 of the little supermarket boil in the bag ones, that was a little disappointing.
2.5
The size of the room and the food.
The noise in the room from the bar and the traffic sounding like it’s actually coming into the room.
