The staff were very helpful with arranging tours/transport, and also generally around the hotel. It's in a nice location slightly away from the main town, so it's a bit more relaxed than being right in the centre (though you can easily get there by golf cart). The room was much bigger than we were expecting, and the on-site restuarant / breakfast was also really nice. We had a great time!
Nothing!

La villa Tarpon est très agréable.
Restaurant très bien.
Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de plage aménagée.
Cher mais tout est cher à San Pedro

The resort is beautiful and comfortable. We liked the amenities and the staff are super friendly. The food at the hotel’s restaurant is great and we got 10% discount.

Breakfasts were delicious and filling. The location is just north of San Pedro. To go anywhere, you need to rent a golf cart. The staff is very friendly and accomodating.
No hot water in the shower for the first three nights! Owner was dismissive at first. Finally agreed to get a new water heating element. As customers, he did not treat us well. Offered no refund or drinks on the house. He has a lot to learn about the proper way to treat paying guests! The bathroom water faucet knob broke off and a complete faucet/handle set had to be installed. As I sat on the toilet seat, it slid off the basin! A brand new seat was installed. The closet light flickered and went out. A brand new lighting fixture was required. I am not kidding. It was a comedy of errors.
The pool is shallow and only a plunge pool, at best.

Location was great: far from the hustle and bustle of San Pedro but still within a close reach by a golf cart to many places. The resort is right by the sea, walkable distance to Truck Stop and Yoga Retreat. Staff was incredible! They were very accommodating and friendly especially with our 2 year old. The fact that they offer babysitting services was a life changer! The restaurant served incredible food and had lice music a few times a week. Overall, we had a superb experience and would stay there again!

Very friendly and helpful staff, the purple room we stayed was nice and big enough for three people.
The sofa bed for the third person was very uncomfortable!

This resort was ideal for a couple of days at the end of our trip. It was nice just to relax and enjoy the amenities offered - bikes, kayaks, pool, breakfast! Pick up at the water taxi and shuttle to the airport were well organized and on time.
A little far out but we knew that and had already had time to explore San Pedro Town earlier in our trip. The optional meals were expensive, but the breakfast included was terrific!

The Bella Vista staff is superb, probably the most accommodating group of dedicated employees we’ve had the pleasure to meet in a long time. The grounds are pleasant and the on-site restaurant, Aji’s, is fantastic. Whether for breakfast or dinner, the quality and presentation of our meals —and the service— were excellent.
Bicycles are available at no charge, but the only road on the north of the Caye has no sidewalk or bike path. You share the road the lots of gas-powered golf carts and the occasional minivan and dump truck. And the roadway is not in good condition.
While access to the beach is blocked by a significant amount of what looks like seaweed, there's a very pleasant walkway that parallels the beach. Heading north the walkway is not very long. But going south one can walk for over a mile, passing lovely private homes and highrise condos. Some of the beach areas are maintained by the condos or timeshares, making the water accessible.
There are several apartments located in what appears a modern building next to the pool and Aji's restaurant. Our accommodations, “Barracuda,” were located closer to the main road and connected to the rest of the property by a bridge of a mangrove swamp. We enjoyed watching the many birds and (huge) iguanas! We wanted privacy and quiet, which we enjoyed.
Our suite, which included a kitchen, was adequate but in need of updating. From the outside, it appeared that other guest rooms have been updated with fresh paint and new windows. Hopefully, the updates will continue.

From the time we were picked up at the ferry terminal we had a great time. Boni picked us up and took us for a tour of downtown San Pedro before we went to the resort. For the first two nights we ate at the resort where the food was great and we also enjoyed live reggae music. Every morning, we had a choice of three breakfast options. They also provide a great deal when you rent a golf cart to get around SP. Our highlight was a private trip for snorkeling for $240 USD - a great deal as there was only the two of us. Overall, a great place to come and chill out. If you do not want to leave the resort then you can go for long walks along the water front. Thank you very much Bella Vista

It is a small and a beautiful resort with extremely friendly and caring staff and the owner.
We, a family of 4, stayed at the Bella Vista resort for 4 days. I arrived at the airport two hours early. That did not turn out to be an issue as the airline called the hotel and the hotel sent a courtesy shuttle. My initial impression was that the resort will be big but it was a small resort. This turned out to be very good as the staff knew everyone on a first name basis. We were handed a welcome drink and we had lunch at the Aji restaurant. The food was great. My daughter told that she never tasted such good tacos before. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a bigger room (Crocodile) for 3 days. The crocodile suites were awesome and I would recommend anyone with a party of 4 to book it. It is well worth the price. Our rooms were not ready, as we arrived a lot early but the staff offered us with a temporary room which we did not take as we wanted to explore the Island in the meantime. The suite was ready by the time we came back from the Island trip.
Every morning we were provided complimentary breakfast with two fixed items (breakfast burrito and belizean breakfast) and one special item for the day. All the choices were awesome. The food was great. Actually, in our entire stay in San Pedro we never had any food which was not excellent.
We did not have any plan so we took a snorkeling tour from a tour company associated with the resort. The prices were reasonable and on par with other tour companies. The third day we decided at the last moment to take another tour and the tour guide was ready in just 30 minutes.
There is an Happy hour in the afternoon when drinks are at 50% off. I would highly recommend to enjoty the drinks during that time.
The only issue we had was with the toilets in the Crocodile room which were low flow and took a few attempts to flush. The other room did not have the same issue.

We were greeted at the airport by Bony who took us to the property by golf cart which is the main mode of transport in San Pedro. He pointed out restaurants, supermarkets and different sites on the way. He was profesional, friendly and more than helpful. The place is out of town which adds to the charm. They can arrange for your own cart. The villas are spacious, tastefully decorated, and air conditioned. They have a huge balcony with comfortable sitting. The restaurant serves high quality dishes and the staff is always ready to serve, just ask and they’ll make it happen. The snorkeling tour guided by Aner was a highlight. He was knowledgeable, professional, friendly. Well, just like all the staff. Whatever you do, do not skip Secret Beach, just gorgeous. I recommend this place 100%

The property itself makes me feel I’m at home. We got the crocodile room. Its a 2 bedroom on the 2nd floor with a living room, a full kitchen, dining table plus a veranda. Its overlooking the ocean. The staff are super friendly and i think that is also one of the reason why out stay feels like HOME, for they/staff makes me feel like you are part of their family. From breakfast to the tours, the rental of the golf cart, lunch, dinners and happy hour. The food is superb especially their dessert is to die for. Have to try the key lime pie and the coconut pie. The resort offers pick up and drop off at the ferry. Always gives recommendations where to eat and explore.

The facility, location & amenities were great but what really made the difference was the staff. From the time I made the reservation until we checked out, Zamir, Boni, and the rest of the team were tremendously helpful. They set up tours, made sure we could get around, made recommendations for places to eat & things to see. And always with a genuine smile & concern that we were enjoying our time there.
