Food was good, wifi has strong signal
The room is very old, the bed is so hard, the toilet is small, TV is broken, swimming pool is not clean

The Front Beach, nice staff, 24 hours refilling of water. Cold.and hot shower, the pressure of the water is great.
Very salty sinigang and enseladang gulay. I think the staff mentioned the cook was new. I think it would be better if the cook will taste his / her dishes before serving it to the quests.

The lack of noise complaints#wifetime
The bed kept scooting lol

I really liked the place but you can’t enjoy to have talk with your family near the beach at night because of the karaoke.
karaoke the whole day and night. the loud music in the breakfast area.
3.4
loved that it was on a wide quiet beach away from the crowds of Surftown. The staff was very friendly and it was a perfect getaway for two nights. The rooms were a good size with cold air-conditioners. The pool table and karaoke were fun too.

The place just punches all the right buttons, friendly staff, good food , great location , I’ll definitely be coming back

Beachfront location
The amenities were below standard, dirty basin, terrible toilet, bed linen was paper thin and the “big house” was big but it was dusty and not appealing to tourists like us who are from Australia

Nothing. Unsatisfactory. The rate per night is unjustifyable in terms of hygiene, cleanliness of the hotel itself. It was mouldy all of it especially the toilet which makes it really smelling bad !!

the beach and the pools.
noise from outside can be heard inside the rooms (footsteps/ dog barking/ and noise from the common area)

The location
The "Deluxe" room was not. It was more like a basic domitory. The Aircon was so noisy we had to turn it off.

The place is still very nice😊Staff are very nice, except for that one lady. But the rest are really nice and helpful.
Bathroom isnt so clean, and the water smells weird.

Place was quiet and clean. Staff are nice and accommodating. Has private beach area and not crowded at all. Had fun playing billiards. Really relaxing and peaceful.
Toilet flush is weak. Had to use pail. Still, it's worth the money.

Absolutely nothing
This resort is officially the worst place I've stayed in and I've stayed in some dodgy properties. It felt like a drug den with the aircon making sounds that a generator wouldn't come close to. There were mosquitoes in the room with larvae in the toilet, the front desk offered me bug spray to kill off the mosquitoes. The ceiling looked like it was going to fall on me, the towels had spots of what looked like blood, the pillow cases had holes showing off the yellowish pillows it protected while the head board had dust that seemed to be there since the "resort" opened. My wife and I lasted a good hour before deciding to leave the place and there was no one in the front desk to complain to at this point.

This resort is situated directly by the beach that altho' it isn't white sand, but the sand is very fine. But this beach isn't exactly ideal for swimming due to strong high waves, it's more for surfing. However, there are 2 swimming pools as alternative. The rooms, cottage type (we occupied 2 rooms for 5 persons) are well furbished but one would notice that it isn't a new resort due to the visible wear & tear. Nonetheless, the rooms are quite comfortable, the ACs are functioning well and their wifi is strong. There's free parking as well. The breakfast is ala carte and you're given several choices of set menus to choose from. Their food was truly delicious, kudos to the chef!
Except for the young lady who served us breakfast, both male staff at the restaurant were unfriendly, carried a long face most of the time and were obviously impatient to answer special requests during our meals.. The bathroom at room no. 6 had a very foul odour, while our bathroom at room no. 3 had a broken shower knob that just fell off as I was turning the water off. The strong pressure of water splashed all over the bathroom making everything wet! I had to control the pressure of the water with both palms of my hands to prevent the floor from flooding!!! It was so exhausting since it took a while for the maintenance to come.. After trying to fix it, he gave up and we were told that we had to move tho' it was already late at night. We were given a cottage next to the pool where the TV wasn't working, it was so blurred that you can hardly see a thing! There were mosquitos inside the cottage too! My daughter woke up next morning with red patches all over! On top of the additional amount of 950 pesos that they charged us, either for a 3rd person or as upgrade, they also made us pay 500 pesos as pet charge for our little shih tzu dog which I honestly think is too much for just 1 night! In addition, they refused to give us our senior discount for beverages consumed, only for food. This is utterly not correct! Though I liked the place despite its flaws, but the management's lack of consideration towards their guests is a huge turn off and absolutely disappointing.. ☹️☹️☹️

friendliness of staff and location

Staff only
Isla Bonita was a major disappointment. Here are the reasons why:
1. The location is far from the center of san juan, you have to drive or take a trike to get to the surfing area ( flotsam jetsam,Kabsat, etc)
2. The hotel is very old with very old facilities as well.
3. The room has no hangers available. Even the tv has no clear picture because it has lines on the screen.
4. The bathroom has a very small sink like the one in the hospitals. No towel hangers in the bathroom, just one lonely "pako".The toilet bowl is not flushing properly, so you have to use a pail for flushing.
5.No electric kettle provided in the room, so you have to go to the mess hall to get hot water.
6. Toilietries provided: just soap and tissue,no toothbrush,no shampoo.
7. Albeit their staff are nice, this doesn't make up for all the cons of staying in this hotel. The price of their accomodation is definitely not worth it.

Has a direct access to the beach which is really convenient.
None, really. We loved our stay at the resort.

This is my 3rd time staying here and they never disappoint. If you want peace and relaxation, this is the best place. Plus points that all the staff always keep the place clean and they are indeed approachable. Will definitely go back.
