Generally good,but the housekeeping department needs serious attention!

Good location, good breakfast and friendly accommodating staff

The soap etc was not replenished every day even though we had run out of soap, and the shower mat was taken away and not replaced, needing us to use a hand towel on the floor. We didn't receive any milk, cremora or sugar at our coffee station on both mornings, just tea and coffee, so you either drank it black unsweetened or not at all, which was rather disappointing,

The room and bathroom were spacious, clean and bright

The teaspoon by the coffee station in the room was dirty/used, and the spoon and glass at the restaurant table were also dirty

The place was clean and the staff was friendly. I like that you pay per room and not p.p. It's a easy place when you are passing.

The entrance is not visible when driving into the main gate. Our bathroom shower was filling up and spilling out the door, drainage.

Pleasant short stay in Joburg

The rooms are functional but spacious and clean. The breakfast is very complete. The staff is friendly. We had our breakfast outside by the pool, very nice. Some might find the proximity of the busy avenue B. Frisher drive a problem but the noise level was quite acceptable.

no real points of discontent. Everything was conform or even exceeded my expectations.

After the hitch with the booking and checking in process all was well

Breakfast and restaurant was very good

the checking in process, they couldn't find my Booking.com reservation!!! took a long time and as there was a conference at the hotel at the time, rooms were not readily available, which was quite unnerving.

Great location, out of date lodge.

Our waiter, Oliver, was fantastic. He really did try his best to make up for all the mistakes from the kitchen as well as the manager on duties bad attitude. The location was perfect for what we needed.

The air conditioning did not work. The one manager really did not understand the concept of costumer service. Our shuttle that the Lodge provided from the airport was late. The trailer that we paid extra for was filled with cleaning supply drums, so we could not put our luggage in it.

Not a lot - the only thing is it was close to where we needed to be the next day.

Firstly I booked two rooms, one was a disabled room because my father struggles to walk and it’s on the ground floor. We arrive and he wasn’t given a ground floor room, when I told the receptionist that I specifically booked it the receptionist scrambled around but said sorry its just a couple of stairs. At this point we are checking in so late after a big drive, my father says it’s fine he will try. A couple of flights of stairs for someone who literally struggles to walk, was a daunting task. Anyway, I helped my father up and down. We get given keys and the first room I go into either had guests staying or hadn’t been cleaned. Unmade bed, things all over the place, so I go back downstairs, receptionist runs around, gets a key for a new room. Now he also managed to give us the furthest rooms because you know walking is so easy for my father. Booked non-smoking and got given smoking rooms which was gross. Went for dinner and food was okay, service was below par. Overall not great and won’t stay again
