The Columbia River Gorge, with its mountains and rivers, offers the vacationer and recreation enthusiast the opportunity to windsurf, mountain bike, kayak, golf, ski, hike, fish, or just relax in the unhurried pace of a natural paradise. Historic buildings line the beautifully scenic streets of downtown Hood River, with a bustling shopping district featuring boutiques, designer shops, outdoor adventure gear outfitters, antique shops, art galleries and no less than 30 restaurants.
There are many orchards and vineyards in Hood River. The Hood River Valley is known for its luscious apples, pears, cherries, peaches and other fruits, and for the view of the majestic snowcapped peak of Mt. Hood. People from all over Oregon make an annual trek in the fall to the many farm stands to stock up on fresh apples and pears. Other produce is available, and varies by season. The award-winning Hood River Vineyards is located on a hillside overlooking the Hood River Valley. Their tasting room features traditional wines, and fruit liqueurs.
The Columbia River Gorge, with its magnificent views make this a dream spot for a destination wedding.
Wind surfing capital of the world is Hood River's latest distinction. The winds from the Columbia River Gorge, best during the middle of the day, create ideal conditions for riding the waves. To enjoy the view of "boardheads" at play, drive to the Columbia Gorge Sailpark or follow Second Street to the waterfront.
The Mt. Hood region and its more than sixty miles of forested mountains, 77 waterfalls and myriad lakes and streams are a rip-roaring mecca for outdoor adventure. The mountain is home to four ski areas and offers the country's only year-round skiing and snowboarding.

Clean, quiet, well-equipped, great location to everything!

Great place small but perfect for us, not really Mountain View but nice ridge view. a king size bed in master would be an upgrade

The home was nice and clean, well laid out, and as expected.
The deck was excellent and the air conditioning was nice and cool when required.
It is good value for money.

Really enjoyed the house. Great location for getting around the area. Our first trip to the PNW and the house exceeded our expectations.

We’re from Rochester, NY and arranged this visit to spend time with our daughter who lives in Seattle. As planned, this home was conveniently located near beautiful hiking trails as well as good restaurants. The home was well furnished for our needs, clean and spacious.

Great getaway for two retired couples. Hood River is close to the Columbia Gorge waterfalls, locks, restaurants, Air/Auto museum (must see) and great hiking. The house had easy access, good parking, clean, and convenient to all we wanted to do.
Great room and separate bedrooms were perfect for sleeping, gaming, sharing meals and relaxing. Good lighting. Clear checkin/out instructions.
Microwave functioned but display was blank. Could use instructions for Google puck, TV and stereo. All worked, but no instructions on site.

Perfect size for two couples to stay in Hood River. Proximity to the 7 streams trailhead and cathedral ridge winery was a great perk, and for mountain bikers having a garage for storage is awesome!

Property was clean, beds were comfortable, beautiful view from the dining area and deck, good off street parking. Only issue I had was with the blow dryer overheating, needs to be replaced.
4.4
Great location close to town. House was perfect for two couple.

Just an economical carpet replacement could turn this property from good to excellent.
4.4
The house is ok for the price. Sliding door needs repairs and the track cleaned. The carpet needs to be shampooed or replaced and the baseboards in the bathrooms are dirty. Burnt countertop(poor design).
Beds are comfortable and clean.
Good location for our needs, super close to wineries. All in all, the place is a bit worn, nice deck in the back - zero view.

The Ranch is a beautiful home in a lovely Hood River neighborhood. It was a quick drive to both downtown and to several vineyards.
4.4
Close to everything; Mt Hood, Adams, Timberline, Hood River, the Gorge. Great place to stay. Unit had everything we needed. The deck/BBQ area was great. Thanks!
4.4
Nice home, conveniently located near town. Easy to drive, but not in walking distance. House layout was nice, bedrooms and back deck were nice. No real view from the deck because of the mature trees. They had everything you needed in the kitchen. The big drawback was the carpeting. It was very stained, and really ruined the appearance of the house. Otherwise it was a good experience.

Went for a family wedding. Great location, close to downtown and the river. House was well equipped, nice deck. The property management company was very responsive.

While the bathrooms and kitchen were clean, the carpet was very stained and dirty. The kitchen counter had burn marks from gas stove installed too closely. Some of the window blinds missing slats. Overall furnishings, very dated. The view was misrepresented in pictures. Overall, I would give this
3 stars. It needs some updating and TLC for the price.

This place was the perfect size for us. Everything was in working order. Love the deck, nice cross breeze. The only drawback is the view. Neighbor's trees blocks view of Mt Adams. Other than that we loved it.
4.4
Good communication, good overall experience!

Only a small view of Mt. Adams left after trees have grown.
Very clean, beds comfy. Second bathroom extremely small.

Convenient location
The house was very clean and convenient to downtown. We were lucky our family lives 0.3miles from the house so we were able to walk to their house. We would have to like to sit out on the back porch but it rained the entire time we were in town, but it had a nice view. Have to setup accounts for the live TV which was a little confusing but that's the only issue I had. Would rent this location again.

Really nice to have empty properties next to this home: no light pollution or noise. Also, it was far enough from the train to avoid hearing that noise as well. The home, was close enough to town to be convenient and was biking distance to several orchards & wineries.
Home itself could use some touch-ups: carpets steam cleaned, lightbulbs replaced, blinds fixed, ... Not the most "quality" (high-end) home, but was very comfortable, was stocked with the kitchen items we needed, AC worked well, and it was nice to have garage access.
The listing did not note this is a duplex. We are not loud people, but we play instruments. Hope we didn't annoy the person below us!

We had a great stay at this property. The layout is nice and open. It was pretty hot most of our stay so didn't get to enjoy the deck much. A/C worked great and was much needed. Two minor things: 1) Seems like the landlord lives in the unit below. Never heard or saw them but would have appreciated it if they disclosed that. 2) Pines in back neighbors yard are much taller now versus the pictures of the patio. That took away some of the openness / views. There's probably nothing the owner can do about it cause it's the neighbors trees but something to consider.
Would stay there again.

The first things we noticed when inside the home was an ant bait trap with ants on the floor and a staircase which had not been visible in any photos. These two things made our stay less than ideal especially since we had a toddler with us. The company Arrived told me ant traps are typical in homes so it came down to us cleaning the ants on the floor and removing the bait, after which we didn't see many.

The house was very nice with a great view. It was clean and comfortable. Quick drive to downtown. We really enjoyed our time in Hood River.

Adequate but overpriced.
The blinds in the bedrooms need to be replaced…no way to keep the light out at night. The microwave needs to be replaced as does the garbage disposal. There were two clocks on the walls…about 16 inches in diameter…one worked after we replaced the battery… the other one did not. The garage is depressing….the floor needs to be replaced with modular tiles..Amazon. The washer/dryer work but too old. For a house that was so pricey to rent it should have some updates. Towels, water pressure and air conditioning all fine. We would not stay here again. We were desperate at the time of booking.

Could not have had better service
Ginger in your office in Hood River had answers for us at every turn we I could never be more pleased and thankful we had Ginger to work with she was right there whenever needed.
Ginger was right there when we was in need of an extra month due to correlating our move to Utah. She was able to get the owner of the house to let us say an extra month.
The few small problems we had Roger was right there to take care of them almost immediately could not of had better service as we said before!
Thanks to you all
Doug & Garna

Great stay, this place had just about everything we needed with a lovely, slightly obstructed view of the river valley. It's close enough to local trails and the rest of the Gorge.

July, 2019 5 night stay
Quiet neighborhood, 5 minute drive to downtown, clean with comfortable beds, two baths which worked well for us, very nice outdoor grill which we used, kitchen well stocked with dishes etc., used the garage which was appreciated. A good property and would use again if the need arises.

Comfortable and quiet
My husband and I came to Hood river for a anniversary get away from Bend to enjoy some mtn biking and great restaurants and we got exactly that!! The 2 bedroom house is perfect for a a family of 4 or two couples. An easy pedal from the house to post canyon staging area made our Saturday mtn bike ride easier not having to deal with parking. And having a garage to store our bikes while we ventured out for dinner and drinks was an added bonus. We will be back for sure but bring our kids so they can enjoy Some of what Hood river has to offer.
