We enjoyed this nice little cottage. It has a good kitchen with quality appliances. The only suggestion we would make concerns the bath! It is very difficult for older adults to use , and i imagine difficult to wash very young children in too! A shower might be easier . It was a pleasure to visit Polruan and Fowey, and Mevagissy too, and we did not have a car!

Excellent!
All as described and comfy beds, great location, mesmerising views, car parking included was a bonus, spotlessly clean and so well equipped. A charming cottage with a seaside feel and with good quality mod cons which makes for a perfect holiday

What a fabulous week in a fantastic cottage with a stunning view. Great walks. Drop your car and spend the week using the boats to Fowey and ferry to Mevaggisey where you see dolphins along the way. Watch harbour life through the scenic window. Brilliant week all round.

Stunningly beautiful. Lovingly furnished. Highly recommended.

Overall a wonderful experience. Polruan is lovely and quiet but only a short ferry ride across the water to Fowey- a larger town. Wonderful walks around Polruan and a lovely bakery as well as a cafe named Jam First which offers a good breakfast and huge coffees! The private car park is well located to the house and the house is in a great location very near the pubs and jetty. My only suggestion is to take a raincoat with a hood!

A delightful cottage in a great location right in the heart of old Polruan. Very comfortable and practical. Would return.

Great little spot. Enjoyed being on the opposite side to Fowey as it’s a bit more “touristy” over there while the Polruan side was much quieter. Can recommend getting take away chips (and beers) from Lugger Inn and watching the sun coming down. The chocolate croissants at the cafe across from the Singing Kettle are great too! An all round lovely weekend.

We all enjoyed our stay at September Cottage. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and more! and the views were amazing.
Communication with the owner was spot on - she provided us with detailed information beforehand which we found very useful.

Cottage was just as described. Full of character and with the most wonderful views over Fowey harbour. Comfortable, well equipped and clean. Ann provided very detailed information for the check-in to the cottage, car parking, appliances and local places to visit.

We luckily selected September Cottage for a 10 day stay - far too short. Our host provided information which made everything easy. We are fit seniors and enjoyed the walk into town to both pubs, coffee shop and store. With 2 bedrooms our son could visit and the upper sitting room had great views and was warm and comfortable for early May with a small fire. We hiked Halls walk, to Gibbin Head and saw a play at Minack theatre (a must), Newquay, Tintagal, Lands End etc. etc. All of the Polruan locals were friendly especially at the Abba Coronation celebration, ferry service to Fowey and Mevagissey excellent etc. etc. Nothing negative to say about September Cottage, Cornwall or a bit of rainy weather when prepared. Thank for renting to us.

Very pleasant short break. The house was delightful, clean, comfortable and warm . Loved the lounge and all the views
I relished hearing the church bells in Fowey across the water.

A lovely cottage, with wonderful views across to Fowey. Lovely position in the small fishing village and perfect for catching the ferry over to Fowey.

A great cottage in a picturesque town. A good place to relax by the sea, hear the crashing waves and watch the sailboats from the window. Whether you want to just stay nearby or roam there are many possibilities such as the coastal paths, the ferry across to Fowey with its shops or other fantastic towns in the area (Polperro being a favorite).

After initial issues making the booking through the app, which was sorted out by the owner of the property - I was provided with a lot of information about the property together with a comprehensive list of places to visit. The cottage was as described on the website - the views across the estuary were ever changing with the weather and watching the boats coming and going was relaxing. A short walk down to the harbour but not that many shops, places to eat. Short trip on the ferry to Fowey is advised for shops, restaurants, cafes etc. Ferry had just changed to the winter timetable so you couldn’t have an evening out in Fowey. I had forgotten just how steep some of the lanes are - definitely a good workout but probably not suitable for the less mobile. Would I go back - yes to the cottage but just wish it was in Fowey. All in all, it was a very relaxing week away which is just what I wanted

Utterly charming
From the moment we confirmed the booking our host was remarkably well organised in providing not just information on the property, but excellent instructions for the parking and offloading as the roads in the village are somewhat narrow.
The guide to the local area was immensely useful and perhaps it would be fair to say that the description makes less mention of the incredible views from the sitting room and back bedroom.
At night the village is very quiet with just the odd boat engine in the distance.
The cottage is quite compact but well equipped and clean. We will definitely go back and stay and returned home utterly relaxed and feeling like we had been away for longer.
Definitely recommend.

Real Cornwall
The property is exactly as presented and a lovely place to stay.Taking the ferry across the bay to Fowey for dinner in the evening is something we will never forget. This area is still very much the old Cornwall and not a heavily commercial tourist area, which is what we wanted.

A little gem!
A fabulous cottage with stunning views. We were treated to a firework display for the Jubilee which was magical… reflecting beautifully in the sea!

Return to Cornwall
This was our first time back to Cornwall in some 30 years and we couldn’t have chosen a better location to stay than Polruan and a lovelier cottage to stay in than September Cottage.
Our 10 day stay there was very special.
Christopher and Ann have clearly put a great deal of time and thought in providing a holiday cottage that really is a home from home. Properly furnished with comfortable beds and sofas.
We loved the upside down aspect of the property with the kitchen and lounge/diner on the top floor giving great views of the Fowey estuary where there is always something going on throughout the day and evening. Who needs a TV when there is live action like that?
Although the kitchen is small it is properly kitted out . The bathroom is also quite small but again is very well finished and more than functional with a very effective shower unit within the ‘sit/up ‘ bath.
One word of warning on arrival, if arriving by car unless your car is small (Fiat 500, Nissan Micra or similar ) do not go beyond the car park and parking space allocated . Although the hill from the car park down to the cottage is steep it is far better to walk your bags down from the car park than risk damaging your car trying to turn around at the bottom of the hill The space is restricted and there is no through route at the bottom. We found out the hard way with our Nissan Juke, it required some 10-15 manoeuvres to turn it around! We only did it the once but if you like a challenge good luck.
This area of Cornwall has so much to see and do and we hope to return and do more soon.
Thank you Ann and Christopher.

Bank Holiday Stay
We stayed over May Bank holiday and this property was the perfect bolt hole.
Cosy, clean, well appointed, with lovely views of the bay. Very useful information shared on local walks and amenities. Excellent communication with the owners.
2 mins from The Lugger, the local pub (friendly staff, great food) and the ferry dock, for trips to Fowey.

Charming
September Cottage is absolutely charming, in a wonderful location that is quiet (apart from the sound of the seagulls!), but only a short walk from the carpark and the harbour, as well as being just by the ancient blockhouse (which is a great place to watch the sun going down).
The cottage contains everything that you might want in terms of kitchen utensils etc, and has the most stunning views from the sitting room.
Ann is a very amenable and responsive host, and the information she provides makes everything very clear.

Lovely little cottage with everything you need, nice views, close to village centre and not too much of a climb! Parking spot a bonus!

Beautiful location and cottage as we expected
Overall a lovely stay. Spent a fair few evenings in The Lugger pub next to the open fire. Good beer and lovely pub food. The Hall walk is well worth the effort with the 400 year old Old Ferry Inn at the end of the walk in Bodinnick with its own micro distillery! If we'd had more time and better weather we'd have explored further afield on foot however the tranquility and quiet of Polruan was a welcome alternative. September cottage is situated, like a lot of properties on the smaller streets, at a point with limited car access, which means a bit of a walk and lug on arrival and departure but worth it for the quiet the rest of the stay. Fowey is a short ferry trip for more hustle and bustle and shopping. Polruan is very steep in most places but September cottage is just one short steep climb from the harbour and then a gradual rise 200-250M on West St (no cars) to the front door with great views on the way. The cottage itself is cosy with good heating and a wood burner. The upside down living arrangements make good use of the light and allow for great views. Loved everything about the stay.

Authentic Cornish village stay
Booked this property September Cottage and communications with the owner was first class.
The cottage was as we expected it to be, but the view over Fowey harbour was outstanding. The facilities in the the cottage included everything needed for a short stay. The only thing was with the summer season having just ended the shop was closed on Sunday and the ferry stopped running at 7pm. The coastal walks were fantastic highly recommended

Just as described
We had the most marvellous time staying at this beautiful cottage. It is just as described on the website. The views was beautiful from the windows. Whilst there we were able to have a fabulous view of the largest sailing boat in the world sailing in and out of the harbour. The cottage itself is clean well decorated and cared for. It is in a beautiful spot in polruan although the drive down and out again tested my nerve somewhat! There are amazing walks with amazing views. In particular we loved the ‘Hall Walk’ I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in this fabulous area.
