Family focused
La Tzoumaz, on the other side of the crest from Verbier, is a quiet family focused resort amidst the wonderful skiing of the four valleys. The village has a small natural ice-rink, outdoor tennis court, indoor swimming pool, playground, creche, 12km winter hiking trails and 13km snowshoe trails. Additionally in the Riddes valley there are beautiful thermal baths. A handful of restaurants are within walking distance of the chalet including one who can deliver a catered dinner for the evening. The village also has a newsagent, baker, PROXI supermarket for essential provisions, cash machine and of course the compulsory ski-hire / bike-hire shops.
A skiers paradise
Set at the 4 Vallées, La Tzoumaz offers you an extraordinary skiing paradise.
The resort has 40km of piste on snow-sure north facing slopes where it is possible to ski until the end of April. In just nine minutes, the La Tzoumaz telecabin takes you to the top of Savolyeres, 2,354 meters above sea level, where a wide variety of ski tows, chair lifts and cable-cars, provide connections to other resorts in the 4 Valleys region. Together with Verbier, Nendaz, Veysonnaz, La Tzoumaz form one of the largest ski areas in Switzerland offering over 400 km of runs and 100 lift installations. With a length of 10 km and a difference of 848 min altitude, La Tzoumaz’s famous toboggan run is extremely long and fairly fast!. Tobogganing events are held each Friday and Saturday full moon in January, February and March including fondue at the mountain restaurant in Savoleyres. The La Tzoumaz ski school runs lessons every day of the winter season. Full details about lift prices, ski lessons and weekly ski courses are detailed on the Tzoumaz booking portal. Heli skiing is available at Croix de Coeurs, the alpine peak located between La Tzoumaz and Verbier.
Getting to the slopes
Chalet Alexia is most practical if you have a car. The chalet is located 300m below the lift and the village. It's a challenging walk up hill with your skis - not easy for children, but doable for adults. Good skiers can then ski back from the pistes to the front door. If you're not up for the walk, the easiest way is to drive to the large parking located above the children's ski school, park the car and ski down to the lift. You can then ski back to the car at the end of the day.
VIP passes in summer
The Verbier Infinite Playground Pass (VIP pass) give access to more than 50 activities for free or at a preferential rate including free access to the lifts. Painting, climbing, mountain bike tours , yoga, aerial walkways, nature walks, mountain yoga, golf, horse riding and a brewery tour are just a few of the diverse examples. Found out more here:

We had a fantastic stay at Chalet Alexia
5.0
Chalet Alexia is well designed and finished to a high standard with plenty of room for up to 10, probably more. The bedrooms are small but comfortable with terrific mattresses even for picky American tastes. The large ski storage room and 5 person sauna really make a week of skiing better. The best feature though is the large open great room with a massive fireplace, table for 10 and beautiful mountain views. The rental agency staff was friendly and available whenever we needed them. The chalet was also even better equipped than described in the listing with an automatic coffee grinder and machine and bath robes for every guest. Cheers, Bobby.

Our stay at Chalet Alexia was exactly as seen in the images….amazing space and the loved being surrounded by the alps…views took my breath away.
The owner went out of her way to help us get to know the area for skiing and dining. Great experience!⛷

Our stay at Chalet Alexia was fantastic. The chalet is spacious and modern with traditional charm. Communication with Justine, the owner, and the property manager was excellent with quick and detailed responses. Justine provided many helpful tips to navigate around the chalet and 4 Vallee. Area. The management company made the check-in and settling in process effortless. The property is not ski-in ski-out and doesn't claim to be but a short drive to the ski lift is required. Overall my whole family enjoyed staying at Chalet Alexia better than any other ski property. It felt like our home away from home.

Everything is Amazing
To start off, we had a delayed flight, we were stranded in Amsterdam. When she learned that, she was so accommodating and even agreed to move our check-in date. The chalet was so awesomely spacious, the place is so mesmerizingly beautiful, we absolutely loved it. We enjoyed the thermal bath somewhere near the Chalet. The staff (Percy, Anna, and Patrick) are all great and kind. Thank you, guys. we are planning to go back soon :)

Great chalet, beautiful location.
We spent a wonderful Christmas vacation here with our family. No problems whatsoever, waking up to that view was amazing!

We looked for a place to stay a week in summer with 6 adults and 2 Kids. That's how I found the wonderfull chalet Alexia in La Tzoumaz.
Everything was like expected an even better. There is a lot of space and the house is well appointed (raclette, fondue, barbeque, games...), everything was very clean.
The contact with both, the owner and the local agency was very friendly and helpful.
Thank you for a relaxing week in family.

Cannot recommend this Chalet enough. It's not often that a place lives up to its online profile and in fact exceeds ones expectations.
Before booking Chalet Alexia, I undertook extensive research of Chalet options across Switzerland, Austria, France and even the US. We were a group of 7 adults (from Australia) who stayed for a week over Christmas 2016. We were looking for a beautiful and cost effective self-catering chalet, that did not compromise on style, space or location. This Chalet eclipsed all others that we were considering, including offering the rarity of double-bed configured rooms with accompanying ensuites. We felt very much at home at the Chalet and there were many praiseworthy comments made about the space, the design, thought and quality of the fit out and decorating style. If and when we return, it will be to this Chalet and I have no hesitations in recommending this Chalet to others.
We've previously holidayed at La Tzoumaz and Veysonnaz (also in the 4 vallees region) and actually prefer La Tzoumaz. Although we didn't get any snow while we were there we felt very fortunate to have so much snow up the mountain which more than fulfilled our skiing needs. In fact, the sunshine and blue skies made for perfect skiing conditions for us.
The 4saisons4vallees office (who manage the Chalet) were responsive, easy to find and easy to liaise with, including helping us to organise a taxi to transport us to and from the local train stations.
When enquiring about, booking and paying for the Chalet however, I appreciated that all contact was directly with the owner who was warm, prompt responding and helpful form beginning to end (including contacting us directly before our trip to offer assistance even when that is the role the 4saisons4vallees office). As we were on the other side of the world and taking a plunge, this was very reassuring.
Don't waste time looking any further, I guarantee this Chalet will not disappoint!

Simply the best holiday we have ever had.
We stayed for 2 weeks over summer (July/Aug). The accommodation is just stunning. The space, location, quality, layout.....all simply perfect for a base to enjoy the alps. We were there for a mountain biking holiday - and the quality of trials both in neighbouring Verbier and La Tzoumaz were amazing.
La Tzoumaz is a lovely quiet village, with such a lovely family vibe.....our kids loved the bunkbeds - which were awesome, and the little kids den on the mezzanine floor. Equally the outside areas were simply perfect, lots of space, hammock, games, ping pong, bbq etc
Genuinely the best family holiday we have ever had, and we look forward to booking our return visit.
Thanks!

Our group of 10 from Malaysia and Singapore spent 9 nights at Chalet Alexia from 27th May until 6th of June 2016. The
little village of La Tzoumaz was a very quiet little village up in the mountain. Being in between seasons, We at times
felt that we were the only tourists up there. We enjoyed trekking around La Tzoumaz's many treks.
Having breakfast while overlooking the breath taking snow cap mountains was something we will never forget and who could
forget the 8am daily orchestra of bells as the cows were moved from one grazing patch to another.
The week we were there, the weather was not very predictable with showers here and there. We did however manage to visit
Zermatt and the matterhornne glacier paradise, walking along the lake in Montreux, the friday market in Sion and on a
rainy day the Nestle/Cailler Chocolate factory in Broc and Cheese Fondue in Moleson.
A bonus for us was the dressing up box that we found in the TV room, the box is filled up to the brim with wigs, snow white
gowns etc.The kids just loved dressing up as superman and playing princess.
The only downside of Chalet Alexia is that we missed our Tennis Game as the Chalet didn't have any sports channel.
On another note related to safety, we always had to make sure that our young children (under 7 years) were supervised at
all times when playing in the garden. As there is a 10 meter drop on the other side of the fence. It would probably be
safer if some sort of netting was put over the fence to make the garden a safer place for children to play.

Superb chalet:all modern comforts,stylish,privacy
We stayed with our family in Chalet Alexia and simply loved it. Very tastefully decorated, comfortable beds and bathrooms. Modern but also cozy. Clearly quite new and well looked after. Nothing was broken which I find is extremely rare.
Top notch appliances, huge fireplace. We have never stayed in such a comfortable place before.
The location is excellent as well. La Tzoumaz is a friendly, small village, close to the slopes, with a great ski rental shop.

A great family gathering in a super chalet
We all thoroughly our stay during a week of beautiful hot weather and used our time fully. Two of our children and their partners flew into Geneva on the first Saturday (our other daughter was with us) and we met them at Montreux before travelling on to the house. The table tennis was in use constantly, as all the young ones are competitive and we barbequed on two occasions and ate in the village with an especially nice meal in the Auberge Tzoumaz on the last night.
During our week we swam, paddle boarded and canoed in Villneuve, had a day trip to Chamonix and Mont Blanc, walked extensively around Verbier and the local mountains whilst the young ones hired bikes and scooters and of course ate! There was so much to do that we ran out of time.

Feel like home in a chalet "with a view"
A beautiful chalet in a beautiful landscape. A so cocooning place where you would like to live, not only on holiday. Very quiet, rooms with very good beds, nice and enough bathrooms, big livingroom with easy kitchen. A lot of things to do around. The owners are also so kind, giving a lot of informations. A place to be recommanded :)

The perfect location
Chalet Alexia is beautifully appointed and provides the perfect setting for spending quality relaxed time with friends. After a hard day of walking in the mountains the sauna soothes sore muscles and the open log fire entices you to sit back and enjoy each others company. Every detail of the chalet has been carefully considered making it a very special treat to stay there.

Glorious Autumn Weekend
We were a group of 6 university friends who rented the beautiful Chalet Alexia in La Tsoumaz for our annual weekend get-together and it was perfect in every way. The chalet itself is wonderfully put together and has an elegant sense of space with superb views across the valley to the mountains beyond.
Justine had gone out of her way to help us get the most out of our time there and organised a local mountain guide to lead us on a magical hike that wound its way to Les Iserables from La Tsoumaz followed by dinner in a local restaurant.
It really was a perfect autumn weekend in this less-tracked part of the Valais and I will really look forward to returning in the winter!
