Very comfortable stay with lots of room for 5 people to spread out. Well stocked kitchen. Appreciated the off street parking. Easy check-in and owner is accessible and informative. Best part is the easy walking distance to everything in Hay-On-Wye! We all loved our stay and the village!

A wonderful get away! Great house in a great location. Lovely town to browse in when the weather isn’t good enough for hiking. Would recommend this property.

A lovely little house in the centre of Hay.
Off road parking was a bonus, as was the handy boot room at the rear. There was everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The property is a litle dated in places, but just right for three people walking the Offas D.
Path.

Andy's space was lovely and a quiet little retreat. Highly recommend.

Andy's place is ideal - a short walk from the bookshops and cafes of Hay, as well as from the Warren. There's a little playground nearby for younger children and the street is very quiet. The house is lovely - the rooms are spacious, the furniture beautiful and comfortable, and all the added extras (books, toys) were really thoughtful. A fabulous base for a tri to Hay-On-Wye.

Cosy home in great location
We loved our stay in the property. It was well equipped and had everything we needed. It was clean, with a modern - yet shabby-chic feel.
The location was also ideal. Walking distance into Hay centre, and close enough for days out to the Wales coast.
Overall we had a lovely experience staying there.

The house is fabulously located, just a few minutes walk from the town centre. We found it scrupulously clean and tidy. It was comfortable throughout with delightful decor, including beautiful bespoke furniture. It has off road parking and the garden at the back although small has a sunny aspect and there is an area to sit and relax.
Communication from the owner was first rate, with clear instructions prior to arrival.
My daughter and I had a wonderful time in Hay browsing the many bookshops which was our main purpose of the visit - but the house location is also ideally suited for walking and cycling, if only we’d had more time.
We definitely intend to book this property again in the future, probably for a longer stay.

A lovely, peaceful cottage in great location for the town of Hay
The cottage was clean, tidy and comfortable, and met all my needs. It had a cosy, relaxed feel about it. It was well equipped and had the right balance of furniture and interiors without feeling cluttered. A lovely walled garden where you could sit outside. Convenient location for the town centre of Hay, and easy walking distance. I would certainly stay there again and highly recommend it.

The property is absolutely perfect in terms of location and then add on to that it is beautifully clean and impeccably furnished - perfect! Also, brilliant for kids as our 7 year old had her own room but it was right next to ours just in case she did wake up xxx

A wonderful gem of a place!
Amazing property! Loved the touches such as eco friendly products, outstanding furniture designed and made by the owner, and also the welcome package. Property is close to the shops and the river walk. Swam in river Wye, which was delightful - spent far too much on books - All in all a perfect break! Thank you.

The property is outstanding, both in terms of location, and facilities.
We liked the style of the house a lot. The patio and the walled back garden are very useful and handy. One can park the car just beside it.
The house has all you need for a comfortable stay and Andy did not leave one stone unturned, to make it a pleasant stay. In terms of location, you are a few minutes away from the town centre, and a few hundreds of yards away from the river Wye bank.

Highly recommended, clean, comfortable appealingly presented cottage.
We had a fabulous stay in Hay on Wye. For us it was a trip down memory lane walking in the footsteps of and reliving some of our family history. The owner has wonderfully balanced keeping the character of the cottage and garden with his very well hand made modern furniture. The atmosphere of the cottage is fresh, cosy and quiet. Nearby is a tranquil tree lined walk to the 'Warren' and the beautiful river Wye, where, from the little stone 'beach' my husband honed his stone skimming skills! In the other direction you can also walk on the same path (the Bailey walk) all the way into town or on a path higher up which is the old railway route. Also nearby you can find the Swan spring from which the family who lived in this cottage got their drinking water years ago and is still trickling away today!
We also enjoyed a more strenuous walk on the Offa's Dyke path and across fields above Hay and more than one trip up to Hay Bluff. The town itself has a lot of history and the buildings have retained their character. We enjoyed eating out more than once too. Being on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park we took a trip one day to the beautiful Sgwd yr Eira waterfall which you can walk behind! Busy days out were rewarded with relaxing in the evening with the lovely little log burner in the cottage. We would love to come back as there is much, much more to explore, as well as we would be very happy to repeat some of what we did this time!
We highly recommend this cottage for comfort and situation and the attention the owner has made in making this holiday let a good place to stay.
