Perfect location for birding and paddling the Saranac River. Ideal for boat or paddle oriented guests. We enjoyed birding, fishing and watching the boats drive back and forth to the locks. Beautiful location.

The cabin is cozy, relaxing & beautiful. The views from the inside and around the cabin of the Adirondack mountains are gorgeous. I loved taking out the kayaks on the water and watching the sun set.
I can't say enough good things about Shelly. She was incredibly accommodating and a joy to talk to. She is very knowledgeable about the area and has good recommendations of things to do.
I highly recommend staying here and I know that I'll be coming back.

What an amazing place! Plenty to do for the kids and adults.. fishing, kayaking and sitting around the fire pit every night. Rented a boat from one of the Marinas so we could explore Oseetah, head up to Lake Flower and visit the Town of Saranac.
This is the place to hit the reset button. We did not want to leave!

Starboard point exceeded our expectations without a doubt. It was so cool to have everything we could need on hand especially since it's boat in only.
The back cabin with the bedroom and bathroom was simply beautiful!
I particularly loved having a boathouse to keep the boat and contents dry and batteries charged.
The washer / dryer saved us from overpacking clothes as well.
The grounds of the cabin are well cared for, the flowers beautiful & seeing all the boats cruise by to and from the lower lock was fun.
We meet the owner Shelly and could not have asked for a better host.
Lastly we had five lakes to explore. Since we are avid anglers that was awesome. Small & Largemouth bass. Pike, Perch and panfish all came to the boat. The fishing was great.
I would recommend Starboard Point for explorers, lovers of nature and certainly those who love to fish.
The Adirondacks never fail to amaze us.
Thanks Shelly.

What a beautiful property! The sleeping cabin was renovated with pine and it was very cozy. The property had two fire pits available with beautiful views. The dogs loved chasing each other and barking at the boats. We had a minor issue that Kevin was able to help us with right away. Thank you! Overall, it was a spectacular place to spend a vacation to get away from everything.

Arriving by water was an awesome adventure. The cabins are in a beautiful spot and were exactly what we were looking for: private, quiet, easy access to town and the Saranac chain. Man, did we have fun all week!

Beautiful Spot
This is an absolutely beautiful location and a charming property. My family loved kayaking through the lock, fishing the great bass spot off the dock, and playing cards by the fire. The wifi worked well enough for work zooms where necessary. Shelly was a wonderful and accommodating host and we hope to come back!

Relaxing lakeside cabin
This is a wonderful spot in the Saranac Lake chain. The property is waterfront on a point with beautiful wrap around lake views and is perfect for a laid back lakeside camp retreat. The main cabin is a lovely older quintessential Adirondack camp building with an updated, well appointed kitchen and the second building is newer with a bedroom and modern bathroom. The beds are comfy. There's WiFi and TV (but who needs TV here?). The outdoor areas are great: screened porch, big deck (we loved the retro deck chairs), and 2 areas both with picnic tables and fire pits (the one on the point--what a view!). Shelly is a great hostess--friendly, quickly responsive, available but leaves you to your privacy. We had a great week here.

Amazing Getaway
We just returned from a week at Starboard Point and loved it so much. Shelly was great to work with and her property made for a special experience that we will remember for a lifetime. We enjoyed boating, kayaking, exploring, fishing, cookouts, and the firepit. The cabins were comfortable and had many amenities not typical of a camp (e.g., washer and dryer, full and mini fridge, appliances, heater, wifi, cable tv, etc.). We didn't need anything additional and the property is lovingly maintained. We sure hope to be back and highly recommend. Thanks Shelly (and Kevin)!

The best rental cabin we’ve had in 20 years
Great location, excellent amenities & a cozy atmosphere, all come together at Starboard Point. If you’re into life on the lake, you won’t be disappointed here. My family enjoyed our time spent here, even though it rained a little, almost every day. Our dogs had a blast as well! Thank you for sharing this place with all of us! We will be back!

Family vacation
Shelly's spot is a little slice of heaven. There are other homes across the water but in general, it is a quiet spot. All the boxes of an awesome Adirondack vacation were checked - good hikes, kayaking, extra sleep, beautiful weather, board games, and good food. Shelly's kitchen is well stocked with everything you need if you feel like cooking. We enjoyed the french press every morning. Kayaking right around the corner included sightings of a bald eagle, beavers, great blue herons, and red-winged blackbirds. Listened to the loons at night while we made smores around the campfire.

Quintessential ADK Vacation
My family had a great time touring the area using Shelly’s cabin as our base. Three fantastic hikes (St. Regis Mountain, Ampersand Mountain and Jack Rabbit Ski Trail to Mirror Lake and back), kayaking from the cabin to Kiwassa Lake where we ate lunch on the shore, and a really fun ride from the cabin through the lock to Second and First Ponds then to Lower Saranac Lake for an hour of cruising in a motor boat we rented. The cabin is well appointed and maintained; comfortable beds, great shower, kitchen fully stocked with everything needed for cooking, and a great fire place. Our favorite place was the deck overlooking the river leading up to the lock. Spectacular view of the wet lands across the river. And a slight misadventure of running out of gas in the motor boat (a land lubber’s mistake for sure) turned into an opportunity to meet Shelly’s friend Kevin, who helped us get fuel back in the tank so we could continue on our way. Over all a great time and we will return sometime in the future. Shelly is a great host and very responsive. Thanks Shelly!

Views in all directions
This is a special place connecting gorgeous waterways. Wonderful if you like quiet, peaceful birdwatching, lovely perches and feeling like you are on an island. Actually, you're actually near friendly neighbors, the lockmaster and plenty of boaters near the picnic table and fire pit but if you want, the property allows for total privacy and escape. Our family could unwind, the kids played on rocks, hiked and floated -- we tried every boat! Shelly has tastefully decorated and the kitchen is well equipped. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location
Peaceful get away to a beautiful location. My son and nephew loved the fishing and campfires, my husband and I loved the kayaking and hiking and our dog loved exploring the peninsula. The property is well maintained and offers everything that you need including kayaks, boat dock, fire pit, grill and beautiful deck to relax on. It is boat access only, which adds a layer of complexity but we were able to rent a boat very near by. Had I been alone I would have wanted the offered escort to the property but my husband is very good with navigating so we did not have a problem. Pictures and description are very accurate. Would recommend if you are looking for a secluded get away in a very natural setting.

Beautiful getaway
The pictures do not do this property justice. The back cottage has recently been renovated with a very comfortable bathroom and bedroom. The charming front cottage has a fully appointed kitchen with everything you could want. We spent the days cruising the lakes and just marveling at the beauty of it all. I can’t recommend the property or the neighborhood enough. My only regret is that I did not bring binoculars as recommended. The bird watching is amazing. Thank You Shelly.

Relaxing Respite
Great property for our family of 4--space worked perfectly. Well equipped kitchen and grill allowed for making meals throughout our stay. Kayaks provided hours of fun and fishing for our boys. Great deck on front overlooking the water was a favorite place to enjoy morning coffee or play a game. Beautiful views of water and nature abound. Close proximity to channel and locks allowed for convenient boat access to area lakes(our pontoon boat rental was money well spent.) Owner, Shelly, was very accommodating and quick to respond to questions before and during our stay. We enjoyed the area so much we extended our stay another night and Shelly helped make that happen for us. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxing time away!
