About this chalet rental
Cornwall’s forgotten corner. The twin seaside villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, on the Rame peninsula are great for relaxing and enjoying a memorable holiday. The chalet has a magnificent view over the sea towards the hills of Dartmoor - probably the best view in the village. The area has a great deal to offer and a week could easily be lost exploring the charming streets, walking the coastline, relaxing on the beach. Walkers are spoilt for choice and can pick up the South West Coast Path in both directions. Mount Edgcumbe’s country park starts at the top of the village and you can walk to the famous 16th century house and visit its beautiful gardens. Locally, there are five pubs, three coffee shops and a choice of places to eat in the evening. It is ideal for a relaxing romantic break.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Crow’s Nest.
It is a great location with lovely views from the cabin and close to the village and beaches.
We enjoyed being able to take walks in the nearby countryside.
A very relaxing and refreshing time

The chalet is delightful and beautifully situated. All it lacks is a wardrobe, though its hard to see where one could be fitter in the bedroom. If a couple want a real break from the hassle this is absolutely ideal and we will rebook.

The Crows Nest was a sweet, comfy, pretty, well appointed but oh so small property. Gorgeous views outweighed the fact that there were only a few hooks on the wall with clothes hangers to store your clothes. Kingsand and Cawsand were a delight. Good pubs & village shops, Cornish atmosphere, friendly locals & beautiful location. We had a lovely stay but it felt expensive. But that view was probably worth it.

A wonderful unique place to stay. We fell in love with it on arrival. All the better for being slightly off the beaten track.

Thank you for a lovely stay. The Crow's Nest has the most incredible view and is very comfortable. It was a bonus being so close to the coastal path and a short stroll away from the shops/ pubs. The accommodation had everything we needed and the description and communication from Nick was great.

The crows nest really is a little nest, warm welcoming and has everything you need including fantastic views lots of wonderful walks and places to eat and drink. But if you just want to hide away you have all the privacy you need. Can’t wait to return

Very Cozy. Perfect for a couples holiday. Very helpful host. Access to property can be a challenge due to steepness of stairs outside but there are alternative routes in. Would stay again.

Wonderfully place with a spectacular view on the bay. Very clean, all needed furniture and very large terrace, enough covered to take an aperitif under the rain.
Perfect for a couple
No specific parking for the apartment but as a city's inhabitants, we are never afraid of finding a parking place in the evening 😉

Nice in the center of the village.

Very private chalet in a pretty spot high above the middle of the two villages. Just a short walk (though including quite a lot of well-maintained steps) to the deli and several eateries. It fully lived up to our expectations as the photos in the property description - both of the chalet and the views from it - give a true impression.

What a fantastic little place, the views were amazing. A very secluded little place with decked area outside and patio below with sun loungers. The sun rise from the decked area was amazing (on the one morning we had clear skies). The accommodation was perfect, everything you could possibly need and very clean. Sea views from the bedroom and living room. Even the steps down to the fantastic village weren’t so bad. We would definitely recommend

Breathtaking views
This was our third visit. Wonderful cosy place to get away from it all and relax.
Pubs in the village serve great food and live music at weekends.
I'm sure we will be back again.

Great Location, fantastic views.
What a find. Fabulous views over Plymouth Sound and the village below. Accommodation very cosy with great outside space to sit and take in the scenery. The steps down to the village kept us fit and not a problem for us. We ate at the Devonport Inn, The Halfway House Inn and The Bay. Good food at all three but Halfway Inn the best. We found a parking spot on New Road for the entire stay. We walked both days on the coast path from the cottage to Whitsand Bay and to Millbrook via Edgcumbe Country Park. Would definitely stay again.

Crow's nest
A little jewel of a miniature villa set high above the village with magnificent views over Plymouth Sound. I love returning to the Crow's Nest year after year. It's convenient for the village and a great base for exploring the locality.

Lovely Cottage with Amazing Views!
We’ve just enjoyed a week at Crow’s Nest, wonderful peaceful location with amazing views over the harbour. We didn’t use the car once. Excellent walks straight from the door.

Amazing views
The location of this property is perfect. Uninterrupted views of the sea, incredibly quiet, private terrace, we were happy to sit and read and watch the boats, paddleboarders and swimmers for hours on end. There is everything you need here, with good pubs just a short walk away. The local shop is adequate for basic essentials. The bakery at the foot of the steps is excellent, just remember to pre order bread and pizza. A walk up to Canteen at Maker Heights was worth it for the amazing food there. We stocked up on pasties from the Shop on the Square before an amazing coastal walk to Penlee Point and Rame Head, and I would thoroughly recommend them. The mussels at The Devonport Inn, overlooking the sea, are not to be missed. I hope we can return here soon. We parked up on New Road, deciding not to use the car for a week. It was a good plan. Tim, the host, was very helpful. The steps were not an issue for us, we saw them as a good way to keep fit, all 66 of them.

The property was absolutely perfect for the two of us for the week. The view was just breathtaking and so secluded. We will definitely be back as we loved everything about it!

Cosy Crows Nest
we stayed in early october and had very mixed weather, but the crows nest was very cosy and the orientation of the village means you are sheltered from the prevailing weather. good walking around mount edgecombe and rame peninsulas. we only tried 2 pubs because of covid but they were adhering carefuy to guidance so felt safe

Such a beautiful location.
It was lovely to wake up in the morning to peace and quiet, and to sit on the veranda with a coffee enjoying the fantastic view across the bay.. we enjoyed out weeks holiday so much and would certainly come back to this peaceful place to totally relax again..

A real hideaway
This was a fabulous find , private with gorgeous views. Cawsand and Kingsand were a revelation to us - it is a beautiful area. The only thing to know is that it is 23 + steps down from the Top Road and 63 down to the main little high street - we are well toned now so that is a plus. Nowhere was overcrowded , people were keeping distance on beaches and in pubs. If you are going to stay in this area it would be advisable to book pubs to eat in , ahead of your visit - all worth going to - whilst the pandemic is still about, as there are reduced times and spaces.
We would definitely return - it was enchanting !
