About this villa rental

Located at the very heart of “Sierra de Tramontana”, a UNESCO World Heritage site, Racó de Sóller sits on over eighteen acres of olive groves and Mediterranean gardens with stunning views of the valley of Soller, the mountains and out to sea. This traditional Spanish estate retains all its rural charm with just enough modern updates for a sophisticated, peaceful and private family friendly retreat.

The spacious bi-level layout accommodates up to ten guests with five en-suite bedrooms, each with private bathrooms.

Special mention to the home cinema, gourmet kitchen ready for cooking demonstrations and pool with panoramic views.

With a long tradition producing extra virgin olive oil, the ‘collita’ (the ‘picking up’ of olives) happens during November

Exclusive villa with a unique mallorquin scent includes all amenities, excellent views and location. Wooden ceilings and colored tiles nicely mix with contemporary and vintage furniture creating thus a rustic as well as modern ambience. The house includes two spacious living rooms as well as a dining room; the house is ideal for groups and families. The show-cooking kitchen and Home-cinema will delight foodies and movie fans alike. All outdoor areas including the pool, rooftop and BBQ are totally equipped for maximum comfort with total privacy. Outside the house perimeter, the guest can fully enjoy the lush green slopes of the Tramuntana Mountains, walk among centenary olive trees and may have the opportunity to come across our furry residents roaming the land peacefully.

The truth is that long before offering hospitality services, Raco de Soller was already a producer of monovarietal olive oil obtained from healthy and much cared of centenary Mallorquina olive trees. Selrana drinks from these origins and makes that quality personal: is our way of bringing your choice of the fruits of our territory straight to your table with no intermediaries. Ráco de Sóller’s profound respect for the earth and our work in harmony with the elements is what brings us Selrana, a story of quality, innovation and passion. Mallorquina is a rare olive variety distinguished for producing a unique olive oil with a fresh fragrance that reminds of green grass and tomato, with citric traces. Its flavor mellows with time, but right after being pressed it is unmistakable spicy and bitter due to, most likely, a higher concentration of polyphenols.

Everything that everyone says is true, this is a truly beautiful property in an outstanding location. The owners could not be any nicer or more helpful. The only thing I would add is that it is all in excellent condition and has really first class appliances and fixtures and fittings you really could not ask for more…. And there’s Cresta!

Incredible house in a simply stunning location. This was the perfect place for our family to stay for the week while we were attending a wedding. The help and communication during our stay was excellent and very helpful. The cleaners were also very friendly and excellent at their job. The house was immaculate. The only small downside is that the listing says that there is a gym, but there isn't. A gym or some small equipment would have been amazing and it was something we were looking forward to, but, regardless, it doesn't take away from the incredible property and the amazing time we had.

Me and my family had a great week at Racó De Soller. The villa definitely met our expectations. It was spacious and it had several nice terraces, on different levels outside the Villa; some of them with a great view!. The pool-area was very nice. The location was great, it was a very good place to explore the nearby area as well as other part of Mallorca. One of the best villas/locations I have rented and will absolutely recommend it!

My wife and I stayed at Raco de Soller during the week of our wedding and it did not disappoint. We absolutely loved the property and the stunning views over soller. We had a car which made it easier to drive to the shops and town but it is walkable albeit the walk back will be uphill. There is also a lot of space throughout and each bedroom is big which is great for groups. Cresta the donkey was another highlight of ours as she was so friendly. We organised a small event with close friends after our wedding which Jose was very helping at helping us organise. We will definitely be looking to stay here again with friends/family in the future.

Overall very happy with Raco de Soller. It's a spacious, isolated property perfect for large groups with four ensuite bedrooms (two bedrooms share a "Jack and Jill" bathroom). The pool area is beautiful with plenty of sunloungers and a good area of shade set on a terrace overlooking the valley below with the mountains behind - very striking setting. The upstairs terrace is another large space with loungers, ideal to lay on at night and stargaze. The house is set within a large olive grove and there is a very friendly pet donkey, Cresta, who comes to the gates looking for carrots - she is very cute! We found the kitchen slightly lacking in certain utensils and bowls but was perfectly adequate. Plenty of bath and pool towels were provided and cleaned halfway through our stay, along with the bedding. We had a few issues with things in the house during our stay but the owner was really quick to respond and sort these out for us. The setting of the house is stunning, but be aware that it is realistically a 25 minute walk downhill in the summer heat to the centre of Soller for restaurants etc, and a longer and tougher walk back up the hill afterwards. It's more comfortable to drive to the bottom of the hill to the outskirts of the town. There is plenty to do in the area, with the pretty villages of Biniaraix and Fornultz a pleasant walk away, Port de Soller a short drive/tram journey and Deia and Valdemossa and Palma making very easy day trips. Truly a beautiful area of Mallorca and Raco de Soller is a great base.

We absolutely loved this place. We were three families of 6 adults and 4 children and this is our 3rd visit to Soller. The villa is set up on the hill about a 25 minute walk from Soller square. I can’t think of a villa that could have better views from the numerous patios and seating areas. The sunsets were magical and we even had a glimpse of the sea. The villa is set in a huge olive grove with a very friendly pet donkey called Cresta on the property. Our kids loved feeding the donkey carrots every morning. The pool is stunning and a good size to keep all entertained and cool off. The house is so spacious and we never felt on top of each other. All rooms are en suite and a good size. The top floor is especially stunning. We stayed for 2 weeks and at the end of week 1 the villa was fully cleaned with new towels and bedding. Not many places do this abd was a great addition. This is a family owned villa and it shows. The owner(Antoni) was always very helpful and responsive. I really can’t think of any downsides… it’s a good trek back from Soller square but that help keeps the weight gain to a minimum over the 2 weeks. There is a great bistro at the bottom of the road to the villa called Raft 19… only 15 mins walk and a great find. All in all I can thoroughly recommend this villa. You’ll have a great holiday.

Wonderful in so many ways
Wonderful in so many ways
We have just returned from the most fabulous week at Raco de Soller. The property exceeded our expectations and is in the most wonderful setting with views to the mountains and over Soller. We were a group of 5 couples and the property had great communal space for cooking and eating, with lots of other space to go quietly to read a book or have time to yourself. The pool area gets sun from late morning on, and the sunsets are amazing. There is also plenty of shade both around the pool, and around the house - we were grateful for it as it got to over 30 degrees some days (in May!). There is a large roof terrace which gets sun all day (where the pool used to be) which allows for more private sunbathing if you need it. The donkey was a regular visitor and even met us at the gate and walked with us when we returned from Soller. Finding the house was no problem using google maps, and Antoni helpfully sent a picture of the first gate so we knew which one to use. But dont take the shortest route on Google if you go to the Eroski (supermarket) or to Palma as it will take you through the centre of Soller using streets which are closed to traffic in the day. We ended up in a maze of one way streets and learned to follow the route to the north (signposted to Palma) that takes you anticlockwise round Soller to pick up the main road - then you are ok to use Google maps from there. Its a steep walk up from Soller to the house and if you have mobility problems you will want to drive, although parking can be a challenge. Taxis are available but you may have to wait. The kitchen is very well equipped, with two large fridge freezers and two dishwashers. There are also clothes washing machines. We didn't use the home cinema room but i think you will need a laptop or other device to stream movies or if you want to watch more than Spanish TV. A couple more things to be aware about when considering booking Raco de Soller: 1. Although the price is shown as including taxes, there is an additional tourist tax levied at the property of over 2 Euro per person per night. Not a lot in comparison to the property hire charge but it came as a surprise to me. 2. The property is described as having 5 double bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. This is correct - but one bathroom is away from any of the bedrooms, and the two upstairs bedrooms then share a very luxurious but interconnecting bathroom without any locks. Not a problem so long as you get on well with your other guests.

A lovely trip to Mallorca
A lovely trip to Mallorca
The property was lovely, we wish we could’ve spent more time there as it was very relaxing and lots of space. Some of our family was not comfortable with the drive through soller and the neighborhood so I believe this depends on the individual but it was a lovely time. The olive trees were beautiful. Huge thanks for the olive oil!
