This was a wonderfull stay, with very helpfull hosts, that even fixed breakfast for us without us preordering! The only issue this place has is the tiny bathroom, where only the shower area seems large enough!

Even the tiny bathroom makes this beautiful barn cottage worth the trip and the stay. Helen and Andy are very thoughtful and caring hosts. Our flight was delayed and there was a warm welcome even late at night. We love to return any time possible.

Short stay
Very good accommodation for a short stay in a lovely area. Some minor issues include tiny shower room with toilet under sloping roof of the stairs. Shower stopped working twice during use then started again with cold water. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The sloping roof upstairs was awkward for getting in and out of bed.The shower room was very small, again standing at the loo i had to bend backwards to make sure i didn't miss the target.I wouldn'r recomend it for folk with back problems.

Danehill barn.
Very well pictured & described on website. Well stocked cupboards in kitchen area. Spotlessly clean. Petite shower room. Huge bedroom but take care of sloping walls beside very comfortable bed.

A perfect, cosy get away
My partner and I loved our stay at step cottage barn. We came for peace and quiet before the arrival of our baby and that’s exactly what we got. The barn is so cosy and relaxing. We had all the supplies we needed and the property managers were so easy to contact for anything else. We would definitely return for another escape from the city!

Autumn break in Danehill
owner was available to welcome us and show us round the property and garden and to help us find a beautiful and much needed walk after our long journey. Everything was just as stated in the information we had been given. Perhaps the guides and leaflets could do with a bit of an update but that didn’t really affect us as we had planned our own itinerary beforehand. A very enjoyable four days spent in a beautiful area of Sussex. Oh, and very importantly, the Barn was well equipped and very clean and tidy.

Nice property, easy to find. Lovely pub up the road. Few creepy crawlies and cobwebs but it's a barn and in the country. TV couldnt get rid of subtitles but not a problem. Clean tidy perfect for two night stay

Long weekend
Very enjoyable stay and ideal for visiting family locally.
The store cupboard should be checked for out of date items. Also should opened items be in the cupboard considering the current situation.

Wonderfully peaceful stay
The barn was just prefect for myself and my partner to escape and have some much needed us time.
The accommodation was beautiful, the barn had tons of character, the owners have put alot of love and care into the feautures of the barn making it cosy and homely.
Everything you could possibly require for a trip away has been thoughtfully taken care of and more. You can literally just arrive and make yourself at home.
Helen herself popped down after our arrival, which was lovely. She made sure we were settled in nicely and was offered us lots of information regarding the area, nearest shop, pub activities etc.
All questions answered in a helpful and friendly manner.
We even were cheeky to request some apple cinder vinegar. Which believe it or not Helen managed to find and provide for us!
Thank you both for a wonderful stay. Highly recommend!!!

good but.......
We recently had a two week stay at this very charming cottage. The owner advised in passing during our stay that they were having a digger in to do repair work to their property while we were there.. It turned out to be two days right in front of our cottage along with workmen coming and going, and using heavy equipment.
We had to leave the cottage during this time as the work was very noisy and intrusive . I wrote to the owner to express our disappointment that we had not been notified in advance of any disruption. There was no recognition that they were any way concerned with our experience. The words "with out any admission of liability " or acknowledgement of the intrusion into our privacy or any acknowledgement that we had been inconvenienced and our stay spoiled.

Short break in Ashdown Forest area
A lovely cosy property with all the kitchen facilities needed. Spotlessly clean and a very comfortable bed. Lovely garden outlook and close to all the activities of the Ashdown Forest
Showerroom very small and no where to put toiletries. Also sloping roofs in mezzanine bedroom and shower room a bit awkward for people near 6ft tall.
