We stayed in one of the 1-2 private rooms in a hostel. Unassuming from the outside but quite nice inside. Situated on a lovely beach. Large kitchen/common area. Clean, quiet, amenities well organized. Staff friendly. Multiple restaurants within walking distance.
Move smoking area to back of building versus front entrance. Add some potted plants.

This place is a gem. If you’re unsure about booking, let this be your sign to go for it.
The hostel is extremely clean and very well maintained. The bathrooms are convenient and always clean. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need to cook. The dorms beds are comfy, clean and provide full privacy. The private rooms look even better!
There is sunscreen, aloe vera, bug spray, shower and beach towels, yoga mats and much more available for guests at the hostel which is very rare and so convenient. There are also paddle boards and kayak you can rent to go up the river.
If all of this hasn’t convinced you yet, the staff will. They are so welcoming, kind and helpful. They really make the place feel like home away from home. Huge thank you to Tyrone, Fabiola, Luz, Laura, Derek and everybody else I’m forgetting.
Nothing I didn’t like about the hostel. A car is definitely not needed to enjoy this place but could be convenient if you’re planning on visiting the island.

Surprisingly cute and nice place, it's located right by the ocean on a dead end residential street in a residential neighbourhood (though it's got a few bodegas and local bars nearby). Parking is limited but you'll find a spot somewhere nearby. Washrooms are clean and there was hot water. Not super busy when I went and there was only 1 common area so it was pretty easy to meet people. Note that the common area is outdoors (though covered) so lack of A/C/mosquitoes may be not for everyone. Do check out Casa e'chelo down the street. That bar/convenience store is such a vibe and people are welcoming.
Not much, I quite liked it.

Difícil encontrar dirección. Las calles no tienen nombre afuera. Hard to find address both days of my stay. Streets have no names. Staff should be able to include nearby business name and take pictures of nearby houses to be able to find it following pics , Was very stressful when you arrive & is dark after 6pm
Hard to find

The location is amazing. It's right on the water where a small river runs into the ocean. It's exceptionally picturesque. They provide towels, beach towels, beach chairs, dishes, cooking utensils, even sun screen and bug spray. I really liked Luquillo as well. It's a short walk to the center of town with many bar and restaurant options and friendly locals. It felt very safe walking around at night.
I didn't like that we couldn't stay longer.

Exactly on the beach. Absolutely perfect location. Super friendly owners. Clean and perfect !! Strongly recommend!!
Please fix the door at the room with more meds as it is swinging at nights and woke me up non stop :(

Casa Coral is a hidden gem. It feels like a home right nestled between an estuary and the beach.
The staff are super awesome! All of them are super helpful, shout out to Laura for waking up super early to give this gal a ride to the airport, allowing me to stay another day at Luquillo.

Really good hostel, right on the beach, good facilities and kitchen, small walk into town for food, lovely staff too. An awesome place to just hang out and relax
Getting here from San Juan was a pain, but uber is easy so after trting to hitch and failing to catch a public bus that would have got most ofnthe way there, it was back to uber.

The convenient location, the welcoming staff and the laid-back atmosphere in this small but beautiful hostel.
The parking wasn't really that good, being in the sand just by the water and there weren't that many either.

Wonderfully relaxing and beautiful place to stay. The common area to cook is great and a lovely gathering spot to meet other guests.
A minor thing, but the door to the dorm room is very noisy when opened and closed.

Everything about this place was awesome. The staff was fun and friendly and so helpful. They made great recommendations and always seemed excited to hear about what adventure you went on that day. The beds were comfy and the rooms had nice lockers and space. The bathrooms were very clean. The hostel itself did not seem big at all, which made it easy to navigate, but there were still tons of people staying there which made it as social as you wanted to be. The parking can be a bit tricky but wasn't all that bad. My favorite part was the outdoor/common spaces. The beach is right there and you can hear and see it from the dining table, comfy chairs, or hammock they have set up. The surf lessons and paddle boarding all happen right next to the hostel. Even though it was windy and some beaches were not the clearest, the snorkel trip we took was so beautiful. I didn't even know we were going to be getting snacks - it was a really nice surprise and a beautiful day!
Also - Paco's hot sauce. A++++
I wish I could've stayed longer!
The website advertises daily boat trips but that wasn't the case when I visited. I assume that's because it's kind of off season right now. They still had one while I was there and it was very worth staying extra time for!!

It is literally on the beach. It's beautiful and relaxing. I definitely recommend going there.
I didn't like that I had to leave. I'm a very simple person. I loved every moment

The general vibe of this place is amazing. The communal spaces were well thought out, clean, and the location was amazing. It is half-hostel & half private rooms (we got a room), and all the bathrooms are shared. So be advised if that isn't your jam. It sits right where a small river meets the ocean (the river is wide, and only maybe shin depth at the actual meeting; narrower and deeper as it goes inland), and the scenery is just beautiful and serene. The owner and staff were amazing. Talk to Tyrone (the owner) about going out on his boat; the rates were very reasonable and we had a fantastic day out on the water snorkeling with just him and one other guest from the Casa.
This place is for people who want to feel like they're staying with friends, not a 5 star hotel. For us it was exactly perfect.
As beautiful as the beach was, it's not for swimming. There are a few beaches nearish by, that you can drive to, but the ones within walking distance have too much of a current. Even the local kids were avoiding the actual ocean.
Okay, we actually loved the neighborhood surrounding the Casa Coral, and we walked through it almost everyday to walk to the nearby restaurants and bars, of which there are a few (but not touristy tons). The neighborhood definitely might scare off some travelers, so maybe do some google map searches and see for yourself. For the record, we never remotely felt unsafe.

The hostel is as pretty in person as in the pictures.
Fabiola and the rest of the staff were welcoming and caring and the hostel is right on the beach so a nice morning walk is a must!
It's also a beautiful hour walk to the restaurant and bar area if you walk on the beach so once you get there, no need for your can anymore. The kitchen is also big and well furnished.
I recommend staying there for all your day trips to el Yunke, Fajardo and everything around. Don't look anywhere else!
We had a private room that connected to the kitchen and the window don't close completely so it can be noisy in the morning if people are chating in there.

Property is very well located: river on one side and ocean on the other.

very friendly and attentive staff, the shared bathrooms were spot clean and smelled good. the showers in the back have convenient shelves next to them to put all your stuff, genius!
the beach is right outside, you can have coffee while looking at the waves. Luquillo is a walkable town, so no need for a car.
the decor of the hostel is beautiful, there is artwork painted on the walls.
I wish the pillows were softer.

Good location, all staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable, privacy curtains on the bottom bunks were appreciated. One minor thing is no real lockers or storage staff for those staying on the top bunks as those in bottom bunks generally take up the floor space, perhaps vertical lockers instead of the drawers would be more beneficial. Kitchen facilities were great.

The hosts were really nice and welcoming, the dorm was calm, the kitchen was well furnished, the location is great, just next to the beach. They provide towels and clean everyday. they offer surf rentals. I really enjoyed my stay there!
Nothing

Kitchen well equipped, free water, free coffee, super nice staff, beach towels provided. AC and wifi worked perfectly. Right at the surfers beach.
Quite hostel but that's what I prefer.
One of the best hostels I've stayed in.
Nothing really, maybe install some reading lights in the dorms. But it was not really bothering me.
