Great Tuscan place. We had high expectations - and they were more than fulfilled! Silvia and Paolo are great hosts, very responsive, friendly, practical. Could not wish for a better holiday. Thank you!

We had a wonderful holiday in the house. The house is beautifully situated near Lucca. The house itself is very well equipped and clean, we felt very comfortable there. The pool is not in sight of the house, which we realiser when we arrived, but that was not a problem for us. The communication with Silva went smoothly. Our enquiries were answered very quickly and effectively. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely 2 week stay at this villa - and it was one of our best vacations yet. Family of five with 3 teenagers.
On arrival we were greeted by Silvia and Paolo, very kind and very helpful. The villa is clean and has every amenity needed. The hosts answered our questions and requests within a few hours. Close to beautiful Lucca, and easy to get to supermarkets nearby. Lovely restaurant in Vorno - Bimbotto- we went twice, very good pizza.
The pool was perfect, and with areas with shade, which was needed because of the hot weather. We would certainly come back, given the opportunity.
Thanks sweet Silvia for the lemons and the fresh zucchinis!

A truely beautiful location in the village of Vorno very close to Lucca. The house has everything you need and the most spectacular views, you will never tire of. The swimming pool is amazing and makes it hard to leave! Its a 15 min walk to a great restaurant. Silvia and her husband are the perfect hosts. They really made our stay special ! Highly recommend for a real Tuscan experience. Would definitely come again but next time for 2 weeks!

We (2 couples and one single adult) had a wonderful stay at this beautiful old farm house. The hosts Silvia and Paolo are really nice and everything was uncomplicated.
The house was perfectly clean and the view from the dinner place and pool area was amazing.
We would love to come back one day! Thank you!

Beautiful and cosy house surrounded by old olive trees in a quiet garden. The view from the terrace reaches as far as Lucca. We enjoyed wonderful evenings here with pizza from our own pizza oven. The pool exceeded our expectations. Even in autumn, it is still very sunny until late in the afternoon and invites you to chill out. The house is stylishly furnished and very clean.

We needed a restful, peaceful and private experience, and this villa, it's fantastic grounds and location delivered on many counts.
Nestled on a quiet Tuscan hillside surrounded by olive trees and tranquility, with beautiful restful views out across the valley towards Lucca and the blue-gray mountains beyond, the terrace in front of the substantial well-appointed farmhouse and large salt water pool - (with total privacy and 360 degrees views of the stunning countryside), provided the perfect, relaxing spot to rest and re-charge.
5 minutes down the valley, Vorno hosts a lovely restaurant serving a wide variety of superb food, and 20 minutes away the walled city of Lucca with it's charming antiquities, restaurants, shops and many churches provides plenty of interest. Walk the tree lined surrounding walls as the sun sets.
It's just 25 minutes drive from Pisa, the airport and an hour's drive to Florence, using the motorways or back roads. Re-visiting Florence was delightful.
Our hosts could not have been more helpful, generous and welcoming with advice throughout our stay... ultimately this was an ideal getaway.
We would recommend it to anyone wanting a genuine Tuscan escape! Thank you to Silvia & Paulo, it was a memorable and exceptional place to spend some quality time.

Lovely, simple house, well equipped and spacious. Wonderful salt water pool - nice and deep at one end which our children loved jumping in. Gorgeous views over the valley and Lucca in the distance. Completely private and undisturbed. Silvia and Paolo our hosts were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, including logs for the pizza oven and some really effective outdoor mosquito repellent! Fabulous place and will come again.

The house met all our expectations and we had a great week. The view over the hills is fantastic! The pool area is lovely and some days we spent whole days around here, a plus is that the depth is 2,4 m in the deep end.
The house is placed on the east side of the hill, so during hot summer days it is not too hot at bed time. The bed rooms has also air conditioning.
The hosts were very very nice and could recommend local restaurants and nice day trips. We visited the closest restaurant twice, a 15 min walk from the house.

We had a wonderful week in Silvia’s house in Vorno with our adult children and their partners. The house was even better than we expected with plenty of room for 8 people and the pool area was fantastic. We often had our evening meals outside on the beautiful veranda watching the fire flies darting about. Silvia was a lovely host - just the right amount of contact. The house is very well placed for exploring Lucca and Florence and the surrounding area. We had a brilliant early evening bike ride on Lucca’s city walls and listened to a selection of Puccini’s arias in Chiesa dei Santi Giovanni which are on every evening for an hour. The Grotta del vento is well worth a visit. A Bimbotto in Vorno does amazing pizzas and is a short 20 minute walk from the house. We’d really recommend Silvia’s property and will hopefully visit again ourselves before too long. Thank you so much Silvia.

This property is beautifully located and a true gem: perfect pool, secluded with absolute privacy, and wonderful views over the mountains and Lucca just a few km away. The house itself is clean and cosy. Silvia and her husband were extremely kind and helpful, with much attention to detail and absolutely discrete. Everything just perfect. We would love to stay there again.

We were looking for somewhere quiet where we could relax, swim, cook and enjoy family time with our adult children. This was it! Silvia and Paolo went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, made dinner reservations at local restaurants, offered to book taxis, had small breakfast in fridge for us as we arrived late in the evening. They replied to any questions within minutes and made our stay wonderful.
I would recommend this family home to everyone, the pool was great. There is nothing negative to say.
We will return.
Thank you.

Awesome
We have been going to Tuscany for 5 years in a row because we enjoy the beautiful surroundings and many towns. In addition, we always enjoy the typical Tuscan holiday homes, but this house surpasses all previous homes: beautiful views, very attractively furnished, good beds, everything you need is available, lovely swimming pool and the very hospitable Silvia and Paolo make your holiday complete . A stay where you really don't want to leave.

Great place to stay
We stayed one week with our family. Great house, great host! I would recommend a stay here. We had a great time. It is good to know that the pool is not located next to the house (especially for if you have small kids you need to keep an eye on).

Incredible
Wow, what a place. We are a family of 4 (2 boys aged 13 & 10) so had loads of room at this property. It is truly an incredibly beautiful old house which has been so well looked after. The location is amazing and the views are some of the best we’ve ever experienced. We made good use of the large and very lovely warm swimming pool, the boys LOVED the diving board. In reality this property and location is so so much better than the listing implied. Finally the home owner Silvia is so lovely, warm and friendly (as is Paulo) and full of information and advice. Thank you for having us as your guests Silvia, we will definitely be back.

There is basically nothing more to say. The pool is amazing, the house is cosy and there is a perfect view from the terrace on the mountains and the remote Lucca. Almost the best element though is Silvia, who is the perfect host and takes care of EVERYTHING really fast and friendly. 100% recommendation.

We have just spent the most wonderful week at this fabulous property. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children (ages 14 and 12) and we all loved our stay here - the time passed far too quickly! The house is in a quiet and peaceful area and you have complete privacy. However, the owner Silvia (who is very friendly and helpful) lives near by and can be at the property in a matter of minutes if needed (or she answers questions by text straight away) - so it is a perfect set-up!There is a sweeping driveway to get up the house which we managed with no problems and when you get to the house you feel really private. The house is extremely characterful - oldy worldy rustic charm - and is spotlessly clean. The bedding is of a beautiful quality and we used the 2 double beds, which were extremely comfortable. The kitchen is small but is very well equipped with good quality crockery etc and it all feels lovely and clean. The kitchen door leads out onto the very pretty eating area with lovely views, where there is a large table and very comfortable chairs. We ate here every night and spent hours around this table playing games, reading books and drinking a glass of wine!. The pool is fantastic - big, clean and in a lovely setting with the mountains as a back drop. It also feels secluded. It has a diving board and a deep end - so is fabulous for children (and parents!) who wish to learn to dive and jump into the deep end. There are very comfortable sun loungers and chairs at the pool. We also spent hours here!Lucca is a short drive away and there are also numerous other smaller places to visit easily from here. We went to Barga in the mountains and also Montecarlo - all really pretty places and great trips out - but there are loads of other places too, that we didnt have time to get to.If you like chilling out in a beautiful and peaceful setting, eating outside and swimming in the pool - then this is the place for you!

Twee restaurantjes nabij (Il Cecco geprobeerd: top!)

Lovely house for quiet and comfortable stay in Tuscany
The house was lovely with its modern function and old ambience. We had all we needed and a bit more!
The house as well as the garden and pool was well kept, clean and fresh. In the small village we also found a local restaurant within walking distance for delicious Italian meals . For grocery shopping a tour to Lucca is necessary.
Silvia was a perfect host and made sure we felt welcome and that all was to our satisfaction.
We can warmly recommend this house and its location with so many of the attractive sights within easy reach.

erholsame Ferien

Wonderful place and very nice host
We enjoyed our stay very much. It is a very quite place in a beautiful surrounding. In the house we found everything we needed. We liked the fireplace very much (as the weather was not always good). There was always enough wood and we also used the pizza oven several times. The kitchen is not big but everything we needed was there.Silvia our host was very friendly and answered quickly to all our questions.
Lucca is only 20 minutes away by car and we visited also Pisa and Florence without problems. I really recommend this place.

Charming old farmhouse with a fantastic pool
We were met at the property by Silvia. The approach to the house is up a steep but perfectly driveable hill. There is a parking area a little way down the hill and a tight parking and turning area next to the house. We had a Ford C Max and easily managed the hill and turning area.
Following a warm welcome from Silvia and her husband we were shown around this charming old farmhouse. Silvia responded very quickly to any questions that we had during our stay.
The farmhouse is on a terrace on a hillside in an orchard of olive and fruit trees. The scent from the Jasmine around the door was wonderful! Having access to fresh lemons was a real bonus.
We ate out under the covered table every evening – a lovely location to enjoy a family meal after the heat of the day. The kitchen is small and basic but was good enough to enable us to produce an evening meal for every day we were there.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable. The shutters are a welcome means for keeping out the heat of the sun which in turn makes the house a comfortable place to retreat to for an afternoon snooze.
By far the very best thing about this property is the clean and well maintained pool. The location and views are stunning. We could have spent the whole holiday either in or next to the pool.
The house is about 20 minutes from the walled city of Lucca. From here there is access to a good supermarket – Esselunga, the railway station for trips to Florence and Pisa and the motorway.
If you want privacy, a quiet location, comfortable beds and a fantastic pool all at a reasonable price then this is the place for you.

Unbelievable!
This old farm house is the perfect place to stay. Its in perfect condition without having lost its style. Located in the middle of a nice forest of olives you will not be disturbed by traffic or neighbors.
While swimming in the pool (in the olive forest, 80 m from the house) the only thing you see are the nice green mountains of the surrounding valley. Due to the location in the mountains its not too hot when you sit outside in the evening. And if you have kids they will love to swim in the pool and to explore the wild creeks in the surrounding.
Nevertheless the place is just 20 min. from Lucca downtown and 40 min from Pisa and the sea. A 15 min. walk brings you to the village with little shop, restaurant, church and tourist information.
The landlord will not disturb you but is immediately available in case of any problem. I can fully recommend to stay here and we are seriously considering to come back next summer.

I adored this place
We arrived at the gates to the villa following Silvia from Lucca. Entered the gates, passed the gorgeous horses Silvia has and proceeded up a very scary hill. There were five of us. When we reached the top of the hill and the flat area of the Villa we all frankly gasped with pleasure. Nestled in the hills this villa in a stunning location. The pool was wonderful and I could have spent our entire time sitting beside it or swimming in it. The Villa itself is a converted barn and is not fancy and the kitchen is small. Having said this we didn't care a fig. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we required, the beds were comfy. There is a large table right outside the dining room where we ate constantly. The scent of the flowering vine growing over the walls, the conifer trees around us and that unbelievable view made dining outside a dream come true. Silvia is not particularly attentive about bedding, towels and garbage collection but we had a storm with a power outage and she came immediately to help. Really, if you want to be pampered pay twice as much for another Villa or go to a hotel. If you want total privacy, stunning views, a marvellous pool and comfortable beds and washrooms this is the place for you.
The Villa is about 15 minutes to Lucca, a town we adored for its peaceful, civilized atmosphere and lack of the huge crowds we found in Florence, Venice, Sienna etc. We were 10 minutes from Esselunga - a very large grocery store that had everything we needed and more. There are two restaurants (one a walk away, the other a 3 minute drive). The food was not fantastic but good enough for the two nights we wanted to eat out without going far.
Honestly, I would return here in a nanosecond. Great value for money. Oh and the hill: by the third time up it we didn't even think about it anymore. Thank you Silvia for our time in Paradise!! Hope you are well and apologies for feeding Jasmine to the horses - I couldn't resist them.
