Beautiful property , with beautiful views of the water, loved the peacefulness, the porch , the location, the comfy bed.
Nice having the mini fridge in room, Owner promptly responsive Highly recommend
the shower was small but understand it is is an historic property. Would have appreciated some corn hole or yard size games on the beautiful lawn. Having a large pot of coffee with some pastries in the library would have been nice but in no way did this diminish our wonderful stay.

The location was great, the scenery was spectacular. Our stay at Sandaway was peacefully quiet and relaxing. This was our second visit as we went there last year at the same time for our anniversary and fell in love .
The weather, but that was Mother Nature's fault!

Beautiful piece of property with great views. Very relaxing..
You can’t swim here in August and September due to jellyfish.

The location on the water was spectacular and the owners were wonderful and very accommodating to our needs. I was very happy we had a private screened in porch.
The room got hot at night. I think the heat of the day combined with the humidity overcame the air conditioning even with the dehumidifier on. There was no thermostat control. If the dehumidifier wasn’t on the room had a mildewed smell.

Beautiful location and within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Well-maintained room with comfortable bed and seating area. staff was very accommodating in exchanging messages prior to the trip, and helped me give directions when my GPS went out. The only thing preventing me from giving a 10 is that the room was advertised as having a water view, which is technically correct, but the view is out of a window that you really can’t sit in front of. I would just encourage a clarification in the room description.

The location was spectacular.

The location could not have been better, views were breathtaking. The room, grounds and any areas we used were kept spotless. Wendy, the owner, was very nice and informative about the history of the place. And she should be, she and her family have lovingly maintained it for over 50 years!

This is a good choice for a chilled out, relaxing retreat for couples who need a base to explore Delmarva. There isn't a ton going on in Oxford but there are enough little restaurants and things, and larger communities of Easton, St. Michael's and Easton aren't far. The balcony was great to spend time on in the evening overlooking the Bay.

The place was clean, however, the hall carpets need to be replaced or a good deep cleaning.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The pillows were flat.
The room above us had a dog, and it barked a lot. I'm assuming he/she ran around the room all night. It was loud and kept me up. I would suggest keeping dogs on the first floor - especially larger breeds.
The parking fee is crazy. Who’s going to park on the second level?? It looked like a small business on the first floor with adequate parking and the open second floor was for the hotel. Sorry, but you shouldn’t have to pay to park in this part of downtown. Total rip off.

Room faced the water, bunny rabbits and birds and incredible sunsets. Spacious room with extra sitting area. Binoculars were a sweet touch
Off the beaten path. Not much nearby but great for ppl who treasure solitude

This is such a charming, beautiful, and peaceful property!! The smell in the rooms takes you to childhood memories at the lake on a cottage or something like that!!! Hahaha. the beach is right outside your patio door, with plenty beach chairs. Can’t forget to mention a hall of fame tree that you must see, right in the beach area!!! Overall amazing and can’t wait to come back.

Amazing spot! Incredible views and excellent room. We will definitely be back!

Location and setting cannot be matched. Words don't describe the ambiance and beauty.

This is a lovely place in an attractive village right on the Chesapeake, with its own long, narrow sand beach beyond well maintained grass lawns. For an exceptionally quiet vacation or honeymoon, it is ideal, what hoteliers used to refer to as a spot for Newlyweds and Nearly Deads, whose quiet solitude would be enjoyed. While it is no longer a bed and breakfast, the inn up the street, they formerly owned, is wonderful for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and Sunday brunch
All the above mentioned benefits as well as good ice cream and dock restaurant that was closed on this visit. For boaters, fishermen, and water lovers or all sorts, it has good appeal, and is near lovely county seat, Easton, with its shops and restaurants, and another 15 minutes away beyond Easton, is St Michaels, destination village that attracts numerous tourists to shops, restaurants, and maritime museum, a very popular, sometimes crowded village on weekends in warm weather seasons. Three quiet, old fashioned, historic, enjoyable places, with many water related opportunities, sailing, boating, touring. Just noticed this was for dislikes! Oops!
