About this house rental
My husband and I would like to welcome everyone to our relaxing house in the heart of Old Mandeville. You will love it and not want to leave.
Our house is only steps away from Mandeville’s Beautiful Lakefront which is perfect to take a leisurely walk, jog, ride bikes or just sit and enjoy the views and sunsets. There are children’s playgrounds on both ends and a splash pad at the end of the lakefront near our house.
The city boat launch is across the street at the harbor for those who want to bring a boat or book a fishing trip with Wicked Fishing Charters which leaves from the launch. They also offer sunset cruises and kayak rentals.
The Tammany Trace Bike Trail is right down the street. It is originally a corridor for the Illinois Central Railroad and now is Louisiana’s first rail-trail. The bike path runs from Downtown Covington to Slidell.
Old Mandeville offers great restaurants, pubs, gift shops, Saturday outdoor markets, churches and so much more, all within walking and biking distance.
New Orleans' French Quarter, Audubon Zoo, Aquariums of the America, The National WWII Museum, even Jazz Fest and Mardi Gras are less then 45 minutes away!
Just want to get away and have a relaxing time? There is no better place than on the large porch where a nice breeze is always blowing from the lake. Enjoy your coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. Of course, this is our Favorite place!
We enjoy vacationing in quaint little towns with our friends so we decided to purchase a house in our home town to share with others. We can't wait for you to visit. There is no place like Old Mandeville!

Second time that we have stayed here. And we enjoyed it both times. Only a block from the Lake. Easy access to all of Mandeville. The unit itself is VERY spacious. We will be back!

We had a fantastic stay at Susan’s property while in town for a nearby youth sports tournament. Susan was prompt and friendly in communication, the house was very comfortable, and the location was perfect. Enjoyed walking along the lake, restaurants nearby (including a cute candy/ice cream shop!), and the lovely neighborhood. Highly recommend!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this cottage in Mandeville. It is only 2 blocks from the lake and we enjoyed our daily walk along the lakefront. There are many restaurants a short walk/drive away. The town itself is vibrant with a huge market on Saturdays. The town lends itself to being active - there are bike lanes and pedestrians all around. The cottage itself is spacious and well equipped (even had things like laundry detergent and toilet paper included). It was very clean upon arrival. The beds were comforable. The working washer and dryer were a huge bonus for my family of 4. My teenage son slept on the sleep sofa and he found that to be comfortable. This house is perfect for two couples as each family could have a different end of the house making it very private. From the cottage, we took a daytrip to New Orleans, and one to Baton Rouge to tour LSU. We also went to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and a swamp tour south of New Orleans, so I found the location to be close to lots of things. I am not sure if my travels will take me to Louisiana again, but if so, I wouldn't hesitate to rent this cottage again!

Beautiful promenade along north shore of Lake Pontchartrain. Great location for leisure but also for those who like to keep fit and active. Trail to Fontainebleau State Park is a couple blocks away. Pontchartrain is one block in the other direction. Can ride bikes provided all the way to Fontainebleau. The rooms are comfortable. Livingroom was big enough to play workout videos in. Games provided. Really cute place. Lots of neighbors, but it was really quiet the entire time we were there. Pretty much everything required for a great stay. Only issue was the dust. Couldn't use the fan in my room (they do have a/c) unless I wanted to open it up and clean the heavily dusted blades. Checking that the tv cables were connected properly (as suggested by tv) - kind of a nightmare back there. If you're allergic to dust bunnies, bring your meds.

I stayed here with my mother and my husband while we were in town for a wedding. It was literal steps from everything - food, the lovely lakefront, and the venue. The property was clean and well-stocked - including shampoo, conditioner, and body-wash which came in handy when my mom forgot hers at home. Thank you so much for having us!

Attentive hosts and a beautiful home! Closed out our two nights and started each morning with some time on the porch amidst trees with Spanish moss; squirrels chasing each other; and the wind chimes. We had plans to explore the lakefront on the bicycles provided, but just ran out of time. When I looked for something in the house, it was exactly where you’d think it would be. We’ll be back!!

We enjoyed our visit and the rental met our expectations perfectly. The location was great since my son lived less than a mile away. We will definitely consider being a return client of Vrbo.

The house and location are really just right! Susan or host couldn’t have been any friendlier or more helpful! Easy access across the Causeway to tour NO with family and friends and enjoy Mandinas, Camellia Grill, and ultimately brunch at Commanders Palace as we rang in 2023! A wonderful trip with great accommodations.

Had a wonderful time at the cottage. Location is perfect: easy walk to the lakefront and restaurants. Access to bikes and the bike trail was a bonus. Check process was easy and the place was spotless, exactly as advertised, and very well-equipped. Susan was easily contacted when we had questions. Would definitely stay again.

Comfortable and cozy
Loved this location! Walking distance to the lake and Splash pad for the kids. Beautiful walking trail just a short walk away. Just hopped on the causeway and headed into the french quarters. It was a perfect stay. Everything we needed we had at the house. Grocery store wasnt far away either. Loved the smell of pine while sitting out on the front porch. 4 bikes 🚲 are available to use which we did! Great Host! Thank you!
