Fabulous location, very short walk into York centre.
The toilet upstairs is in one of the en suite’s so no toilet upstairs for the other bedroom.
5.0
the location and the fact it was a full house to myself

We all enjoyed our stay, very close to shops, pubs, activities etc, we did so much during our stay. The beds are so comfortable, kitchen and dining area so spacious, very clean, lots of mugs, cups glasses etc but could do with a few more large dinner plates.
This is the place for us and will reccommend highly..Thank you.
No hair dryer if I had known I have a travel one. on the photos it looked like the upstairs bath room was joined to the twin room.

location is perfect for walking into town, and visiting our daughter who is studying at the university.
the price is reasonable too.

It was in a great position
There was only one key which made it very difficult if someone went out and came in late as the key was needed by those inside to lock the door for safety and security. There was no way of securing the door without the key. The lock box was only applicable if everyone went out during the day. very disappointed with this arrangement and the response from the property manager. Also, the design of the renovated bathroom downstairs was annoying as the shower water did not drain well enough and water flooded the room. Floor levels wrong and lack of shower floor trim. I would not stay again or recommend to friends for above reasons

Close to town, excellent communication with the owner and has everything we needed.
From first communication the owners were first class, nothing was too much trouble and the request for an extra bed was done with no hassles.
The day of arrival was easy, clear instructions made finding the house very easy and the continued coms made the instructions for entering the house no problem at all.
Amenities within the house were more than ideal for a 3 day stay, everything was clean, plenty of bedding and towns and everything was spotless.
This house is ideally placed for a visit to York, lots of lovely restaurants nearby, a supermarket, coffee shops as well as the city walls and attractions.
First class host.
We liked everything and if we were to visit York again, we would love to use the same house.

The house itself is lovely and in the most perfect area.
The house on arrival was absolutely freezing and took days to actually warm up. The house needs more of a homily feel, pictures around, some colour. The double bed needs moving to the room with the ensuite. Curtains are thin. Shower is ridiculously small and not at all practical.
3.5
The location was excellent; also the provision of on street parking.
The main bedroom does not have an en suite and you have to go downstairs to use the facilities. This seems a bit odd when the second (twin room) does have an en-suite. The log burner would have been much better had there been some logs to use. I think it’s a bit of a stretch to require guests go purchase their own if they are only staying a couple of days. I also found several dirty dishes (dried on food) in the kitchen that I needed to wash before use. Although I had no expectations of any food provisions to be left for our stay, this property was one of several we stayed around the country during our holiday. All the others went above and beyond with supplying a few staples like a loaf of bread, carton of milk, some Christmas chocolates etc. I only add this comment in because I think some small inexpensive touches like that could add great value to the the traveller experience.

Absolutely loved this house, perfectly located in easy walking distance from central markets and points of interest but lovely and quiet to come back to. Beds were extremely comfortable and every effort made to make us feel welcome with tea and coffee in the kitchen. A lovely and much appreciated touch.
Upstairs layout means the bathroom is attached as an ensuite to the single room with the double needing to use the wetroom downstairs. This wasn't an issue for us but we were a little surprised at this arrangement and would have expected, if anything, for the ensuite to have been the double room. These are really minor minor points to a very happy stay and we would be seeking this house out again in future visits to york

Great location, lovely clean property. would definitely
return. Lots of useful things in the property like
dishwasher tablets, teabags, coffee, milk pouches etc
Twin room was the one with en suite which I think
would be better as the double room….going downstairs
in the night to use toilet a bit of a nuisance. Although
lots of little extras provided the one thing the bathroom
downstairs could do with some shower gel, even just a
pump on the wall or something.

Very central for York
Floor needed washing and only 2 loo rolls

Lovely little property with garden and parking, close to town centre.
lack of window coverings on front of property.

Bedrooms were spacious, had everything we needed and the location to the centre.
Garden was smaller than expected so didn’t get much of the sun.

We absolutely loved this house. It really was a home from home.
Perfect in every way xx

Lovely relaxing decor. Facilities excellent. Owners had had thought of everything for kitchen equipment. Good location for city centre and large Sainsburys nearby.
House was overly warm for us northerners and we were constantly turning the heating down. Nowhere to hang coats, particularly when wet. But minor issues.

Wonderful place with excellent location. Great communication with host. Easy to park, even with a big van parking was no problem. Superb to have two bathrooms, plenty of space, simply wonderful!
Nothing!

great location, lovely house for family Christmas
No matches to light the fire, no chopping board!
4.5
Amazing location and great to have a log burner ( December stay)
Lovely comfy beds
Great clear check in instructions, great kitchen facilities
Wi-Fi was a little slow and could have done with some tools for the log burner
We couldn’t quite suss the heating thermostat - blasting out at 22 deg at 4am. Tried googling instructions for the Nest but failed !
3.5
Location, parking, equipped kitchen, plenty of space
Poor Wi-Fi (1.5 MBit/sec), could not work or stream videos.
could not check in on a day of booking

Good layout, ample space with two large bedrooms, en-suite bathroom and downstairs shower. The property is within easy walking distance of York Minster, shops and numerous restaurants. There is parking with a supplied permit outside the property.

A lovely little house with just about everything you need. Nice and clean and latterly a stones throw from York center.
Would definitely recommend and will definitely be booking to go again in the future.
Nothing the property is fantastic.

Very quick response by owner to questions asked .
Hope to come back
Nothing, very happy with accommodation

The rooms were very clean and tidy.
The location was great for getting to York centre.
My wife's stuff in the fridge was thrown away out of the fridge.
4.0
Nice sized property with modern kitchen and bathrooms. Location was great - very close to shambles and York minster. Hosts were quick to respond to a couple of questions I had.
Bedroom in the front gets a bit of street noise but that’s expected for the location. Hosts provided a few tea bags, coffee sachets and few biscuits- would have been a nice touch to have offered a pint of milk too, obviously not a requirement!
3.5
Clean, with everything you need for a short break. Good communications. Central situation, restaurants etc all within walking distance. Free parking a real bonus.
A few things needed attention. The toilet seat was very loose. Downstairs loo door needs attention (my friend was locked inside for quite a while) The shower floods! Net curtains would be nice ( the open top bus looks straight into the top front bedroom). these were just minor things as we all enjoyed our stay and would return.
4.5
Location was spot on. However, it was on a busy road and at times very noisy from vehicles and people walking by.
The WiFi wasn't very good at the property. We couldn't watch TV because of the issues with one of the masts in Yorkshire.
5.0
The Old Coach House was quaint, cosy and very comfortable, perfectly situated to walk to York city centre, really enjoyed our stay and didn't want to go home!
That we weren't staying longer!
4.8
It is beautifully presented and so very comfortable. It was everything we hoped for! I will definitely stay here again. Really convenient for being in the centre of York and with a parking permit.
The road is a little noisy and people walking past (late) were very noisy!
We were unsure about how to manage the rubbish. Ours was a short stay but if staying longer, need some instructions about where to put stuff!
4.5
Proximity to the Minster, parking, modern bathrooms/kitchen etc., terrace.
3.0
Kitchen facilities & en suite bathroom
The showeroom rather inconvenient for our friends due to steep stairs . Realise this is an old building but maybe make other guests aware of this fact . A hairdryer would have been useful
4.5
Everything was perfect, fully equipped, great outdoor space, fabulous location. Clean and welcoming.
Single beds could do with new mattresses.
5.0
Everything that we wanted was catered for.
Was like home from home.
Ideally situated,short walk to town.
