Wat een fantastisch vakantiehuis! Echt van alle gemakken voorzien. Zeer modern en sfeervol ingericht. Host ook heel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het heeft echt al onze verwachtingen overtroffen.

The apartment is located in a quiet & safe area. Very cozy, comfortable double beds with air-conditioning, trendy bathroom, lovely lounge area, a decent size kitchen and a huge terrace at the top floor. There is a supermarket called Pingo Doce within 5 mins walk & a cafe called Divinal Confeitarias within 1 min walk with very reasonable prices. There are other cafes nearby but we thought Divinal Confeitarias serves the best pastries in the area. To walk into Porto town from the apartment (approximately 15 - 20 mins) is easy because it's downhill but when you're coming back it's uphill, so probably best to hire a car or use Uber as it's very quick, handy and cheap! Irene (the host) is very friendly & helpful, she fulfilled all our requests and provided us information of where to dine etc. Overall, we would recommend this apartment!
Nothing!

It looks exactly like the photos, it’s a beautiful and cozy home. The garage is a big plus for anyone traveling with a car. The house was comfortable and well equipped with all the necessary items. The washing machine did not work but the host offered to send our clothes to the laundry, it came back fresh and folded nicely. Overall it was a great stay.
Only a small detail was noticed like the jammed door of our bedroom, it was hard to open and close and made noise which was not perfect with the baby sleeping in the crib.

Having your life threatened after being put in a dangerous situation, with no accountability from the renting company, makes it difficult to think any property is worth staying.
I didn’t like four of us being directed into a 4ft by 4ft lift and being trapped for 45 minutes with two of us having panic attacks and other person fainting twice almost lifelessly.
Irene instructed us to go in the lift to meet her upstairs, we never made it in that lift.
First being stuck, she told us she had a key to restore it. Then she told us she broke the key — meaning she was not properly trained or the key was faulty.
She asked us to wait “hopefully 30 minutes” for her maintenance team to arrive. We begged her to call the fire department because we couldn’t make it that long.
She asked for five minutes to confirm with maintenance if they could come sooner. But if she had to call the fire department, it would only take them less than five minutes because they were so close.
After her five minutes, she never got back to tell us anything in which we waited another 20 minutes when all trauma set in. We were trapped and terrified especially when one adult fainted twice.
We banged on the doors, begging for help, pleading for assistance, asking for an ambulance. Only then is when she called the fire department because they were there about five minutes later.
She was only thinking about protecting herself and not our lives.
They only offered us a $2 water and $5 COVID test. I waited a day hoping they would contact us to check on us and offer accommodation for our first night but nothing.
I reached out and told her how horrific and traumatizing it was and how it negatively impacted our stay. And two of the four of us said they would never ride in a lift again.
Irene told us she had to wait until the next day to hear from her manager in which we were offered one night at our next booking and that was their firm and final offer.
Not sure how any business with integrity and customer care could stand by that being enough. It is totally unacceptable.

Supermarket, bakery, restaurants in neighborhood; short ways (15-20 min by car) to the sea and beach, airport, old town in walking distance (20-30 min), 10 min walking distance to the subway station,... spacious garage in-house. Fast and very good support service and pleasant care.
Shortage of some dishes and tableware.
