We had a lovely stay at the house. The location couldn't be better.
There were a couple of issues while we were there and the host was extremely responsive on each occasion.
The house itself is tired in places and could do with a small bit of work but is bright and has plenty of space. Note that tall people may have to be careful as there are low doorframes on all floors (my husband who is 6'4 hit his head a few times) but not an issue for most.
Some lovely touches such as leaving some treats and a great range of DVDs for guests to use.
Really enjoyed our week in Weymouth.

We had a great stay at this property. It’s a large property with a very practical courtyard for drying all the beach stuff. The house seemed bigger than the photos. The beds were all comfy and the two living rooms great for variety! Our young children thought the house was very exciting with the different levels and beautiful stair well. We highly recommend the property 😍

what a beautiful house!
Such a lovely house, fantastic suntrap courtyard garden. Kitchen well equipped, 2 bathrooms just perfect. We loved spending the evenings in the upstairs sitting room. The children loved hide and seek and coming from a flat, the stairs!! Great location near the port and all the fun, for children and adults.
I would definitely go again, perhaps longer this time

Location, Location, Location .......
Fantastic location, within a stones throw of the pretty harbour with plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants, but far enough away from the noise and crowds.
Adults and children spent many hours crabbing at the harbour, and it was very convenient to be able to pop back to house within a couple of minutes, for drink, food etc
Second lounge was great for us as a family with teenagers to have own space.
Wifi signal was a bit patchy in some rooms, but to be expected in a large, very old house I guess
Recommend Jurassic Jet Ski Tours, who are located just across the street. Had great meals in Quayside Bar & Kitchen and SeaBeats.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable week and would happily return.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Weymouth is a busy town with a beautiful beach and lots to do.
We had fun crabbing, walking, swimming, shopping and eating!
The property was well presented and clean and suited our family really well.

We really enjoyed our time at Devenish House, it was in a great location for exploring Weymouth.
The house is brilliant or boys loved playing hide and seek amongst the different levels. And once they were in bed we enjoyed an evening drink whilst watching the sun set from the upstairs sitting room.
We would happily visit again

Lovely house full of character excellent location
We stayed in this house for a week. The place is spotless, well located, 2 bathrooms and toilets, plus a lovely patio at the back which catches the sun all morning. Trudie is a great host and communication with her was superb. Plenty of restaurants and there is a huge Asda supermarket nearby. The fishmonger Weyfish sells very fresh and great variety of fishes, lobsters & shellfish.. The beach is lovely with sandy beach and the walks aling the coast is fantastic. Overall a great place for holiday

Family holiday 1st - 8th August
The Hope Street property was located in a fantastic part of Weymouth that we didn't know so well and surprisingly quiet, given that we were next to Hope Square. The main beach and shopping centre were a short walk away and so there was something for everyone. The accommodation over four floors was ideal for our needs and the stairs kept us fit (but were quite manageable!) The bedrooms were comfy and we loved sitting relaxing in the upstairs lounge in the evening once the grandchildren were in bed! All in all a great holiday and highly recommended.

Little Gem in Weymouth
A lovely house set back about 100 metres from the harbour. Just far enough to leave the summer noise and crowds.
The house was lovely and clean with a nice welcome pack on arrival. Communication with the owners was simple and very quick. Any queries were dealt with easily.
The house is set over 4 levels which is so unusual for most people. The bedroom and bathroom mix was fine for a family of 4 adults, 1 child and 1 baby. The height of the top floor becomes a bit awkward for 6footers but not a problem - your on holidays!.
The pub across the road ( 10 metres from the front door was never a problem and produces some gorgeous food ( as do most of the pubs) and drinks. It was always our first or last visit of an evening.
Parking - Drop off your bags outside the front door ( and put them in on arrival ) and then you can use the supplied parking permit that will await you on the dining room table. You have a choice of two local car parks - one up a hill/incline about 400metres away, opposite the Nothe Pub, or one behind the Old Distillery building about 200metres away on the level.
In conclusion I thoroughly recommend a visit to 6 Hope St.

improved lighting
we had a lovely holiday overall, however as an avid reader the lighting in the sitting room was very poor. A table lamp or floor lamp would rectify this and perhaps a stronger ceiling light bulb. Thanks for letting us borrow your lovely house.

A great week spent right in the heart of Weymouth.
The house was fantastic and had every creature comfort. We would definitely stay here again.
Thank you for a fabulous holiday.

Great family house in excellent location
Stayed here with our two teenage boys and girl in early 20s. The house was great - spotless, comfortable and a layout that allowed us all to be together or have a bit of own space. Photos on the website are clear and accurate. The harbour side central location gave us easy access to all the main parts of Weymouth. Trudie was very helpful and welcoming - many thanks for the provisions on arrival. A lovely holiday had by all.

Great Stay in the heart of Weymouth
The property was spacious, welcoming and cozy. We were five of us and we were able to have our own private spaces in comfortable bedrooms. The rooms were very quiet despite being right beside some great local pubs and restaurants. We were also close to some beautiful coastal walking paths, and not too far from the downtown area with shopping and a movie theatre. All in all, a great stay.

Weymouth
The house was in a great location and we didn’t need the car to visit the beach. We were given a parking permit which was really useful. The house was spacious and had everything we needed for our family holiday. We have 4 kids and there was plenty of room. We mostly cooked at the house and this worked well. Never been to Weymouth before and we spent most of the time at the beach and kids loved it. Very nice relaxing holiday.
4.9
Comfortable accommodation in the heart of the harbour area.
A clean, comfortable, well equipped house in the heart of Weymouth harbour and within walking distance of the main shopping area and the beach. The house is on four floors so you need to be relatively fit. One draw back was the ten minute uphill walk to the carpark. Overall I would recommend this house for families with older children and adults with no mobility difficulties.
4.9
Lovely house and location
This is a lovely house with all you need. You keep fit up and down stairs. The bathroom and small bedroom on the top floor would be hard for tall people and those who struggle with stairs. The bathroom on the first floor is a jack and Jill with a fabulous bath and shower.
The quay and square are spitting distance with great food and people watching.
Comfy beds. Everything you need re to, kitchen, dining etc.
