About this apartment rental
Fully equipped and furnished two-bedroom apartment with hardwood floors, high ceilings and mid-century modern decor for short- and medium-term rental in the quaint village of Hardwick, Vermont. The rental apartment is in a recently renovated 1895 historic building with a full kitchen and dining/living area. Large bay windows offer lovely views of the Lamoille River. A park with trees, perennials and seating sits adjacent to the building.
The apartment is only a few steps from several popular restaurants. A gym is located a block away. A food co-op with local and home-grown products along with a more traditional grocery store are within easy walking distance. The Hardwick Trails, 6 miles of woodland hiking and cross-country skiing, are less than half a mile away. World-reknowned brewery, Hill Farmstead Beer, is in nearby Greensboro. Local water bodies for swimming and kayaking include Caspian Lake, Wolcott Pond and Green River Reservoir (also with non-motorized boat access). Craftsbury Outdoor Center with cross-country skiing and running trails, along with rowing facilities, is 14 miles away. The Lamoille Valley Rail Trail offers running, walking and biking through the river valley.
The rental is within easy driving distance of local ski resorts and near Stowe, Greensboro, and Smugglers Notch. Montreal is 2 hours away. It is also located near longer hiking trails, including the Appalachian and Long trails, mountain biking trails, canoeing and kayaking, cross-country skiing, and lots of good antiquing.
The Village of Hardwick has become known as a sustainable food center, and was featured in the book, "The Town that Food Saved," by Ben Hewitt. Small food producers, such as the Cellars at Jasper Hill cheeses, Vermont Soy products, Pete's Greens, High Mowing Seeds, and the Vermont Food Venture Center cluster in and around the town.
There is an additional $25.00 fee per person, per night, for the third and fourth guests.

Comfortable, clean and stylish with attention to detail in a very cool building with all the amenities and in walking distance to everything!! Lovely and available host. Just perfect!

We tremendously enjoyed our stay. The apartment was large enough to accommodate two couples traveling together. The location in downtown Hardwick was fantastic - easy walk to the rail trail or nature trails, several good restaurants, diner, coffee shop, and co-op food market. Easy drive to Stowe and other destinations in the Northeast Kingdom. Will stay here again!

Exceeded our expectations. The apartment was so quaint and cozy and had everything we would ever need. Great location for everything we had on our to do list which was look at the fall foliage, seek out covered bridges and just feel what Vermont is like in the fall. Claudia called in and checked on us before our arrival and made it known that if we needed anything she was just a call away. Would love to stay again!

The property was great! Had all the things we needed for our three week visit. The host was easy to communicate prior to our visit. Upon arriving the host made sure we were comfortable and answered any questions we had. The location was in a perfect spot for food and activities. The experience was so positive we are planning a return visit.

Spacious, thoughtful two-bedroom layout that was a comfortable home away from home for four days. The well-stocked kitchen and included washer/dryer were essential while traveling with our five-month-old. And the apartment’s central location made it easy to walk to all of Hardwick’s core offerings. We really enjoyed our stay!

We had a wonderful time at Claudia’s building. The in town location was so convenient (croissants, lattes and a pizza place right downstairs!) and the apartment is beautiful. The wood work even coming through the building is lovely (rare for apartment buildings I’ve been in!) and the outside area out back has really grown in beauty (great work, Claudia!). We are excited to come back for our next visit :)

Stayed for a long weekend. Apartment was clean and spacious for myself, my partner, and our dog. Great location right in the middle of town. Claudia was attentive and provided lots of pointers on local hikes and shops. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Second stay here. Easy access and had everything we needed.

Staying in Hardwick was excellent. The apartment and the location could not be better. Restaurants with delicious food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner were a few feet away. Also, the place is near several points of interest. I really recommend it.

Clean place right in town over shops, well appointed. Some neighbor night noises and a few loud cars are typical on an intersection. Enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed our stay in this clean and cozy apartment. Plenty of room, comfortable and safe. Our host was friendly and helpful.
With two restaurants and a coffee shop within 2 minute walk, and groceries (at the co-op) less than 5 minute walk, we had everything we needed.

5 stars . Would highly recommend especially for the 'leaf peeping' season.

Loved the apartment- conveniently located among a charming little neighborhood of cafes and restaurants. Claudia was very communicative and helpful throughout our stay. Recommended!👍🏻👍🏻🙂

The apartment was lovely, beautifully designed with lots of thoughtful touches, and Claudia was very quick to respond to any questions. The building is right on the main street so restaurants and services are just steps away. It's a fairly busy street, but being on the third floor and at the back of the building meant that any outside sounds were well muted, and the interior was very quiet. I would happily stay there again.

This venue never disappoints. In fact, the apartment has been upgraded since our last visit. The owner is very accessible. The location is excellent.

Everything worked out so well! The apartment is very nice with everything you could possibly need. Location, parking, and amenities were great. Hopefully we can come back again.

This apartment was the perfect home away from home. Centrally located near restaurants and shops. It was also perfectly located away from family members we planned to visit.

I absolutely love the area, so having a little apartment in the area is awesome! Great place to stay while we explored the local area :)

Lovely comfortable apartment. Wonderful host, contacted us to see if had any questions or needed any information about the area. Great dining options for breakfast and dinner, coop grocery if want to eat in, coffee shop, wine and beer store featuring many local breweries just steps away. Close to many places to walk/hike/cycle.

We loved this cozy, clean, and well-appointed apartment! We had some reservations about Hardwick when we drove in and found the main road to be busy with loud truck traffic, but once we check in and saw the unique, high-ceiling unit, and realized that you couldn't hear the road traffic from this unit, we were quite comfortable. Enjoyed the layout and well-stocked kitchen. Would definitely stay again!

Very cute place and had lots of charm. Right over a pizza place and a coffee place next door and a few nice restaurants you can walk to. Great location for northern vermont/new hampshire visits. Had some extra amentities in case you forgot something, washer/dryer that works. Older building that's been nicely remodeled and retains the old charm. There's no tv and the couch isn't really a lounging type of couch but we were out and about the whole stay so that didn't matter to us. The beds were a good size and space to put belongings, i think one bed is foam/tempurpedic. No a/c but there is a fan which was just fine for the warmer fall temps we had.

The photos don't do it justice. The place has style and is in a great location to visit an interesting small town. Hardwick has a lot to offer and things to explore reminds me of Northern Exposure.

Comfortable two bedroom upstairs apartment. We cooked in much of the time and the kitchen met our needs. It was a good central location for us to explore central Vermont.

My wife and I had a wonderful time in Hardwick. The apartment was well-appointed and located in a great location for exploration of the Northeast Kingdom. And I HIGHLY recommend the skillet breakfasts at The Village Restaurant (I am partial to the Country Skillet - you should probably only have it once every 1-2 years, though...!!). Thank you, Claudia!

This listing could have been on an episode of HGTV. We LOVED the vintage finishes mixed with modern and artistic touches.

This apartment is spacious, with lovely finishings and big windows. It has two bedrooms, washer/dryer, and a nice kitchen. Some charming touches — note that the base of the dining table was once part of a Singer sewing machine! It was perfect for our get-the-kid-from-camp trip.
There are several restaurants and coffee places within a very brief walk.

Claudia was very attentive to our concerns. She allowed us to check out late, too. The rental is above a restaurant. And there are several eating options within a two-minute walk. The diner across the street was our favorite.
