Ok facilities. Believe there is better options in the area.

We didn’t have hot water the first night Hotel was very quiet so there was no ambience. Decided not to have dinner there as it was empty Had to wait a long time to check in as there was no one to be found at reception on arrival. No one spoke English.

Very good

Classy hotel with helpful staff. Nice options for relaxation. Nice spa, particularly the steambath. The hotel's restaurant has a range of dishes at reasonable prices. We were given a breakfast box on the day we left early for a trek.

Water in the showers in the rooms isn't warm. Tepid was the norm...

Pleasant

The place was nice and clean.

Often there was no one at the front desk. We had to wait around for several minutes to check in and out due to not being able to find anyone. They did not have clean drinking water to fill water bottles for the day. There were not many food places close by and the buffet was very expensive.

Nice room, shame there's no hot water

The room is specious and comfortable. It's right on the main road so quick to get in and out.

The water in the shower isn't hot enough for a nice shower. The hotel was pretty empty when we were there, breakfast was cold, there were no plates and we had to go around the hotel looking for staff to bring bread out. The jacuzzi isn't warm enough either.

Incredible stay

A highly recommended hotel just outside of Urubamba and also very close to the train station for MP. The communication from the start has been quick and efficient. The manager was super friendly and helped us with everything and making sure our stay was perfect. The room was spacious and well decorated and the house keeping staff have a great sense of humour. The breakfast was a great way to start the day too! Laundry service was quick as well.

Has the possibility to be a great place, but failed in the most basic thing:hot water

The Hotel is only 16 minutes from Ollantaytambo train station. Staff was absolutely wonderful and tried to do their best to make us feel comfortable. The hotel could have been wonderful because of the swimming pool/play area

The facilities are there, unfortunately the hotel seemed it wasn’t ready to welcome guests. to go to the swimming pool, we had to walk through workers that were literally building the hallway. when we got to the swimming pool, the water was freezing and the pool was only half full, even though the description said the water was temperate. the jacuzzi was empty, and even if they were so nice to fill it up, it took over an hour, and the water was luckwarm. the room was fine, but the bathroom window wasn’t properly sealed and a cold wind would come in when showering. Also, the water was barely warm! there is nothing worst than showering with a cold draft and luck warm water!! I paid for an upgraded room with a jacuzzi inside, it couldn’t use it because of the temperature of the water. now, I know I was in the middle of anything, but still, the room was quite expensive and if they can’t comply with what they promise, than they shouldn’t.

3 to 4 Stars would describe this place better.

The best thing in this hotel as you can read from the other guests is the extremely friendly staff. The hotel is beautiful, but mostly only the Reception and entrance. The rooms (our group had 3) were ok.

The breakfast was very disappointing, the pictures with the fresh omelets it’s not true. The restaurant not comfortable and old. On our last day there were no water or energy power. Not possible to take a shower, brush teeth or even flush the toilet. The pool it’s not as nice as seen in the pictures, the massage room cold, boring and not comfy at all. Not close to anything, you always need a car, taxi to go somewhere.

The staff was exceptionally helpful. The manager, I believe his name was Dan, was eager to assist us in every which way. He understood that due to our dietary needs we could not partake in the hotel breakfast and assisted us. He also helped us plan our day in the sacred valley and set us up with a driver who was cheap and reliable. The room was comfortable and quite nice. It looked pretty new and was much more up to date than any other property we stayed in on our trip to Peru. Overall, there is a very calm, Zen vibe to the hotel- with soft music playing and sunlight filling the lobby in daylight hours. We did not use all the amenities as we wanted to tour rather than remain at the hotel, but we did visit the steam sauna in the evening, and it was excellent!

Everyone was very nice. Breakfast was great. It is a beautiful building, everyone is very nice. Bathroom is great. Heater was great for space. We rode horses with Hacienda del Chalan and this was the perfect location to avoid a long morning car ride. Our first night the place seemed empty, but more people came. We wished we could stay one more night. That being said.... The pool didn't seem filled, they pulled the cover back daily but it wasn't up the to filters and wasn't appealing. You had to give advanced notice for the jacuzzi but they scrub it!

My stay at the Life Hotel was amazing. Dan (hotel manager) and his team did everything possible to make me and my family welcome and comfortable. He gave us advice on where to go, what to see and eat. The hotel has everything you require from the swimming pool on the terrace, sauna, great food to clean spacious rooms. It has lots of wash basin’s dotted around and space to eat in another area if you are concerned about covid. The location is excellent amongst rural beauty and surrounded by the andes mountains. It’s about 15 minute taxi ride into Ollantaytambo and 20 mins to Urubamba. Dan made us feel welcome and part of the Life Hotel family. Definitely would recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay in the scared valley.

Everything. Spacious suite great breakfast wonderdul voews. Just amazing

I didnt like when one day the curtain disappeared from our room and the cleaners said it was on the floor but we were there when the cleaners entered and obviously the curtain was NOT on the floor. Better to be honest and say "we made a boo boo" and not try to lie about things. The lie made me fèel a little uncomfortable but the curtain was replaced and we learned the staff have a points system for bonus. To me it appears this system creates dishonesty among the staff who will lose points if they do anything wrong therefor theu do t want to accept resonsibility for something so trivial.

Exceptional experience at very compettive price

My friends and I arrived to the hotel after several days of trekking and it was the perfect place to rest. They made us felt like home. The service was exceptional, and we were able to recharge energy. We used the sauna, the game room, but not the pool because it was late. All the amenities were in good shape. bonus: there is even a private clinic next to the hotel.

Beautiful comfortable room, amazing staff.

Don’t bother paying more for the spa bathtub it takes forever to fill and the water is not hot enough for a jacuzzi. Very disappointing as this was the main reason we booked the space. Location is a little far from urubamba with nothing walkable close by, but good base if on way to ollaytantambo and/or you have a car

Very enjoyable stay, hope to come back one day.

Excellent facilities for families with pool, games, cinema. The staff / reception and manager were very friendly and helpful - helped us with all our questions and requests. Peaceful location with nice local walks to do, short taxi ride to Urubamba. Good breakfast and restaurant was very good quality for evening meal.

Food prices in the restaurant are a bit higher than average, but it was the best meal and steak we had in Peru.

Nice but frustrating

The rooms were clean & comfortable. The games (table tennis, pool, basketball) were fun. Also had a lovely, relaxing massage.

The swimming pool was cold, not full and not very clean. The jacuzzi had no water in it. Tried to go to the sauna and steam room but they were turned off. Breakfast was inconsistent - had an omelette the first morning, however the second morning was told they don’t do omelettes (despite being offered egg dishes and there being cheese and ham on the side). Location was tricky to get to/from and we didn’t find too many places near that did food - hotel buffet for lunch was very pricey.

Very limited menu for Room-service. Missing door-stopper for bathroom door which made it to lock itself - and we must ask somebody to come and open it with key... Not acceptable with small kids.

I stayed there in between my travels, I rested, and visited around the property. The general manager, Dan was very helpf

Beautiful, new place with great staff that needs some fine tuning!

Jorge at the front desk was amazing. He was beyond helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. He even helped organize a ride to the airport. He rocks!! The food was really good too!! Beautiful facility! Great fast wifi! Steam sauna was great!!

Cons: -Jacuzzi wasn’t hot/couldn’t heat up -water in my bathroom kept turning off (very inconvenient when you are trying to take a shower) -the giant tub is nice but the water only gets to about the temperature of children’s bath water and the pressure is so low it takes 45 minutes to fill it (by that time it’s cold). -Dry sauna took a LONG time to heat up and since you had to reserve your time to use it and they only turn it on when you show up for your time it was never usable.
