The cottage has great amenities. The location is great. Breathtaking views of Pawtuckaway Lake. Many things to do at the lake and beyond. Loved seeing (and hearing) the loons. The lake seems healthy and the fishing was fantastic. Raymond has great restaurants, a well-stocked Hannaford, a Starbucks, and a great ice cream shop. This was a homecoming trip after 35 years away from Pawtuckaway. I very much appreciate Mr. Brown making this property available.

Relaxing
This was a very nice property. The house was roomy , clean and comfortable and the lake was yards from the house.
There was a dock, and a deck by the lake and a patio beside the house. Our stay was too short!!!

A slice of paradise
My family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at the Loon Lake Cottage! The cottage has a beautiful open view of the lake with direct waterfront/dock access for fishing, swimming, & kayaking. There are steps into the water to make for easy access for any little ones. We also enjoyed hearing the call of the loons each night. The property owner is a great host and made himself available for any questions we had.

A Quiet Place for Reflection
The most relaxing and peaceful lake home we've ever visited. Beautiful views of Pawtuckaway Lake and surrounds, with minimal lake noise...mostly kayaks, canoes, pontoons. We saw an eagle flying over the lake on two separate days. Secluded cottage has been landscaped with loving care, immaculately cleaned, furnished and decorated inside. Seems small from front but is very roomy indoor with storage space galore, including a large walk-in closet in loft. Waterfront and dock looked accessible from lawn in online photos...there is a small gravel road to cross if you have little ones (no real concern as cottage is next to last at trail end). If you do have little ones, there is a very cool loft play area furnished with bean bag chairs, board games and puzzles. Troy & Krista have attended to every little detail to make the stay pleasant for their guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our August week at Loon Lake Cottage.

A perfect, peaceful week
We enjoyed our week at this beautiful peaceful spot. Swimming, kayaking, fishing for the grandchildren, evenings by the fire pit...it has it all. The cottage was clean and well equipped, with comfortable beds. Troy was easily available if we had questions. We hope to come back again next year.

A perfect cottage
We picked this place because I grew up in a similar cottage on this lake, and it is everything I hoped it would be.
Lake is clean, views are awesome and the sunrises are spectacular.
Not lavishly furnished, (but perfectly appropriate) this is a true summer cottage on a lake.
The owner is next door and available if we needed anything.
I loved everything about out stay and am sad our time there is over.
Would definitely book here again.

Loon Lake experience
The experience was amazing! If you are looking for a lakefront getaway, it doesn’t get any better than this. My party happened to be from the Street Outlaws Operations and tech team filming at New England Dragway that weekend. We were busy from sun up to sun down, no time to fish or kayak. 😢 The morning wake up call was the best I ever had, waking up to that view put you in the mood, today is going to be Awesome! The cottage was clean, the beds were comfortable, all the amenities were available as advertised. Troy came down and personally greeted us, he let us know he was just a phone call away. I would love to come back with my family one day, take advantage of the lake, relax the entire week! I am a very picky person, I give this place a thumbs up and highly recommend it!

Peaceful and Clean
We had a wonderful week at Loon Lake. The long dirt road in can be off putting at first, but once you arrive, you have found a hidden gem. The cottage is lovely. Updated and clean, with all the basics you need. When we weren't out on the lake taking in the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, we spent time in the screened porch or on the patio, both overlooking the lake. There are plenty of day trip destinations close by, like Concord, Portsmouth and Kittery. The Tuckaway Tavern is very close by and a must visit for delicious food and excellent service. Troy and Kris were gracious hosts and made us feel very welcome. We would highly recommend this property!!

Extraordinary Vacation
We are sure going to miss the beautiful sunrises with coffee. The cottage was updated and comfortable stocked with everything we needed. The beach towels was a definite plus with littles. The area is quiet, and gorgeous. Our family had the best time! The kids loved the sounds of the loones especially in the morning.we are going to miss our breakfasts overlooking the lake. The location is prime to grocery stores, restaurants, shopping and beaches. The owners were friendly, and so very courteous. We can’t wait to book for next year!

A hidden gem!
My Mom and I experienced the relaxed vacation we had both been searching and hoping for at Loon Lake Cottage. The cottage was open and extremely clean. It was wonderful waking up at sunrise and going on a canoe ride or watching the sunset from the enclosed front porch that had two wonderful windows that opened to allow the lake breeze to flow through the cottage, as well as, allow you hear the loons on the lake. I enjoyed reading at the nook on the front porch and my Mom loved sitting outside at the picnic table getting some much needed fresh air. This was a great place to make some lasting memories with my Mom. Troy and Krista were very responsive and provide you with all the amenities you need have a comfortable and relaxing vacation. Thank you for providing this little gem of a cottage. My Mom is already asking if we are going back next year...:-)

Awesome vacation!
The cottage was immaculate. It had been newly renovated and was bright and cheery. I was impressed by the use of space. The cottage had lots of storage space for food, etc. The upstairs is amazing. Lots of space for sleeping and a play space for children. The owners, Troy and Christa, live next door and are very accommodating and helpful. The outdoor space is great, between the patio and decks by the lake. We really enjoyed our vacation there!

Loon Lake Cottage - Everything we hoped for and more.
We are two retired couples that live local and that were looking for a nice, quiet place to rent for a week on a lake. Loon Lake Cottage looked to be exactly what we were envisioning. And as it turns out, that assessment couldn't have been more correct.
Although there are many things to do in the area, we spent our time at the cottage relaxing on the patio, down by the water or in the enclosed porch, playing cards, reading and building puzzles. Our grandchildren visited us for a day, and they had a great time playing in the water and on the playground at the Pawtuckaway State Park beach (a short drive from the cottage), and doing some fishing from the dock in front of the cottage. We took advantage of the canoe (included with the rental) to paddle around our area of the lake, and to pick blueberries from the many bushes that lined the islands and overhung the water. And we also did some hiking to the boulder field, located within the state park. Pretty amazing array of huge boulders dropped by the glaciers during the last ice age.
We saw great blue herons, a bald eagle, song sparrows and of course, loons, which were amazing to listen to in the evening and early morning.
The sunrises were varied each morning, from brilliant as the sun come up over the horizon, to quiet and subdued, with the lake as still as glass with mist rising up from the surface.
While this was perfect for us local folks, there is also much to do in the area for both kids and adults, with none of it more than maybe 45 minutes away.
Food shopping is maybe 10 - 15 minutes away, making it very convenient to stock up for the week.
The cottage itself is very clean, and includes all the expected linens, towels, kitchen items, games (played our first game of Monopoly in more years than I can remember), a gas grill, and a fire pit. The cottage also has a dedicated WiFi router with a strong, fast internet connection, and a TV. Cell phone service was also good (we have Verizon).
And finally, we cannot say enough about the owners, who are very friendly, local to the cottage, easily reachable, and very responsive to any requests that we had.
The cottage is perfect both for those just looking for a little peace and quiet as we were, or to use it as a focal point for all the many things to do in the seacoast area of New Hampshire and in southeast coastal Maine, including the best seafood you'll ever taste.
Definitely consider Loon Lake Cottage as a your next vacation spot.

A hidden gem of a vacation cabin.
Best vacation ever. Excellent cabin and really nice family running it. The cabin fit our needs perfectly. It is right on the lake with a private dock and sitting patio on the water. It has an enclosed patio where we could watch the loons and many boats. My 7 year old grandson spent everyday fishing off the dock and caught 2 largemouth bass and numerous large hornpout. Every day we went swimming off the dock in clean warm water. The owners could not do enough for us and were really nice people. We made numerous day trips to the beach and water/amusement parks. This truly is a hidden gem and anyone would be happy to stay there. We loved it. Plan to return next year.
