Friendly staff, good coffee house downstairs with local breakfast
Cleaness of the bathroom, some misaligment between what I have booked and what was available at arrival

Host is quite hospitable and was very helpful in so many ways that made our stay comfortable.
she offered to keep our bags when leaving for Diani over the weekend .
The premises could be cleaner .

The owner Susan is amazing - full of energy, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast very good, long available. The room is big, lots of space. The rooms are cleaned daily, the floors washed, and the staff is very nice and helpful. Hostel is very close to the Naivas supermarket and bus station and is practically in the very center of the city. Really value for money is very good!
Downstairs in the middle of the property I would make some common space for guests, because it doesn't look good right now. - Susan said she was planning to do just that. Susan only wonders whether to do it - downstairs or use the free space upstairs. Lockers could also be placed in the rooms not to keep everything in the backpack

There is no utilities as shown in ‘room description’ . Toilets and bathroom are not cleaned they should be washed on a daily basis since it’s shareable.

The room was clean and the staff friendly. I was staying in the room alone which was nice. Otherwise it might be a bit crowded when full.
That the owner gave out my personal phone number to someone not connected to the hotel.
The room has no mosquito nets and is quite hot.

The name of the place I found on the map wasn't same. It wasn't looking good. I just pass it. The street was suspicious. Even prostitutes waiting at the corner warn not enter that street at late night alone.

The staff and Susan are the best!
Café downstairs in good quality!
Location and surrounded by banks quite safe!
The facility in bathroom can be improved.
The AC could be better with the hotter season is approaching. Couldn’t fall asleep due to the hotness.

The host have primary restaurant (very local) and some apartments above inside for travellers. Location is good for tourist, close to center - old town and Port Jesus, restaurants, supermarkets, banks and ATM and also buses on Kennyata avenue. Despite close to traffic Moi Avenue calm place, but with sound from mosque during night, for me earplugs necessary as general in Africa. In price was also good breakfest. Host is very helpful and kind. Equipment of room is little poor and old even for local conditions, but with good bed, net against mosquitos and ventilator (but in summer is should be more necessary air condition).
Its little hard to find it also for taxi and tuktuk, because the house is in little side street of Moi Avenue, but is very close to Casablanca club which everybody in city know. Little poor and old quipment of room, but mainly very poor bathroom which really need renovation without hot water (mostly was enough cold water regard to hot weather and host prepared me hot water:).

The owner let us extend the check out time for 3 hours because I was sick, that was really nice of her. Also the studio room was spacious and the beds were quite comfortable to sleep in. The fan was also very helpful with high temperatures. So staying for 1 night or 2 is a good way to save some money :) Also access to Mombasa city was very easy!
Hygiene wasnt the best, especially that the carpet was wet and the bathroom was actually not functioning well (non usable shower, the toilet wasn't flushing well). Also access to the hostel itself was a bit challenging but considering the price all of this was to be expected and manageable.

Great location and friendly staff. They were also attentive and supportive.
Facilities weren’t that great especially toilet.

The proximity to my work place was okay
The breakfast was a joke, the services poor.I should have been informed of some things prior.eg no soap.

I arrived quite late and the welcoming staff member was very friendly and explained a lot about life in Mombasa. The female dorm was basic but clean and tidy, wifi included as huge bonus. Only booked one night as needed cheap accommodation prior to taking an early flight to Zanzibar island.
The bathroom and ‘showers’... I almost gagged. No mosquito nets but the massive dorm fans seemed to keep them away. And the area outside is quite rough with many street boys however both my taxi driver and the property work reassured that it was quite safe.
