About this house rental
(CITRA code 010046-LT-0104)
Welcome! This is my country house and it is now open to guests.
A perfect place for those interested in a holiday on the Ligurian coast, in a quiet and more private setting than the beach: the house is situated on the hills, only 10 minutes drive from the sea.
It is a two-storey cottage, with a garden opening onto a magnificent view that reaches as far as the sea. In the house there is family furniture, it is not an ikea house and therefore I would like guests to treat the house with love.
The 2 double bedrooms (two windows each, with wonderful views) and a small bathroom are upstairs, on the ground floor is the lounge, kitchen and larger bathroom.
The kitchen was renovated in 2019, and the large bathroom is completely redone (with shower) in 2020.
Perhaps the house is not perfect for children and teenagers, who have the right to relax and play without thinking about what gets ruined and what doesn't ;)
You will find a cosy and perfectly clean house when you arrive, please leave it in a very similar condition :)
IMPORTANT: if you book the house for two guests you will only have one double room of your choice.
And then there's the garden, where you can eat under the trees and sunbathe peacefully when it's too busy down by the sea. Excellent wifi available for guests. Free parking on the street below.
The house is normally rented out in the spring-summer months and heating is not necessary. IMPORTANT: From September to May, gas and electricity charges will not be included in the rental price, so you will have to leave a deposit of 500 euros in cash on arrival, to be renewed if you stay more than a month, and we will calculate on your way out based on consumption and bills how much to return or ask for more.
Camogli (a small fishing village), Santa Margherita and Rapallo are only 7 km away.
The Regional Park of Mount Portofino and its Protected Marine Area are just around the corner, with chestnut woods and olive groves overlooking the sea.
Portofino's marine environment is unique in the Mediterranean for its richness and biodiversity, which is why the park is visited by thousands of keen divers and studied by biologists from all over the world.

We had wonderful 12 Days at Eugenias place in the hills over Rapallo. Her house is exactly a described, very clean and tidy, has beautiful a garden, a stunning view down to the sea and we really liked all the old furniture and lovely little details inside the house. She also was a terrific Host, with a lot of helpful tips and recommendations before and during our stay. We would come back any time!

The house is very nicely situated in the mountain with a beautiful terrace and view. As one has the whole house to themself it's nicely private. The communication and check in with Eugenia was very comfortable. The bedroom is situated facing the street and maybe not suited for light sleepers. We overall enjoyed our time there and would recommend the house.

Very nice place, located in the hills between Camogli and Rapallo. Good starting point for trips to Genua and Cinque Terre. You need a car though.

A beautiful and nostalgic holiday apartment
The holiday apartment was very nice an the landlady Eugenia was very accommodating and helpful. We are now back in Germany and think longingly of the time we had in this beautiful apartment and of course of this beautiful landscape and the sea near Liguria

Wonderful view
This property is not easy to summarise and review. Eugenia had said this is her family home, and the house is a bit old-fashioned including the kitchen and bathroom, with a lot of curious ornaments here and there. Having said that, there is everything you need for cooking in the kitchen. There is no shower - although there is a shower attachment on the bath tap there is no shower curtain nor anything to fix it to the wall. There is some on-street parking near the gate though the road is narrow and I was grateful for the small rental car.
The location is excellent, with lovely views from the terrace, living area and main bedroom. The nearest food shops are in Camogli or Rapallo 3 or 4 km away. There is plenty to do in the area and there were lots of leaflets and some maps available. We would highly recommend a trip on a ferry to S. Fruttuoso and Portofino.
Eugenia kept in touch with us both before arriving and through the week to ensure we had a good stay.

Wunderbares Haus in herrlicher Gegend
