We could not have had a better stay here! The home itself was unbelievably beautiful and comfortable and luxurious all at the same time! We came from a week of hiking in the Dolomites and were so happy to have a washing machine and a big comfortable bed! The kitchen was amazing to cook in, the outdoor spaces were endlessly lovely for any kind of weather or activity. The indoor space was also so amazing on the one afternoon we had thunderstorms! Lucrezia was an incredible host that helped us with everything we could possibly have needed or wanted but also gave us the privacy we loved so much. Whenever we go back to Tuscany, we will absolutely be staying here - it does NOT get better than this!!

For our 20th anniversary since getting together, my husband and I decided to splash out on a holiday with our two daughters. The cottage was ideally located close to Panzano, where it was easy to park to go shopping at the market on Sunday and to eat out in the evening. The beds were comfortable, excellent showers, esp. the one by the downstairs bedroom. Well-stocked kitchen with a good range of cutlery and various items from olive oil to washing up liquid. The living room was a lovely place to relax in the evening, drink wine and watch the twinkling lights of Tuscany as our girls slept. The pool was clean and wide, and was cleaned during our week’s stay. The only negative is that the stone is a bit rough underfoot and alongside so you may wish to wear swimming shoes.
The views from the cottage and the pool are breathtaking, overlooking the estate where the 1993 film Much Ado About Nothing was made.
Lucrezia was an excellent host. Our eldest has autism and she was very kind and quick with small requests or questions about where to eat and visit.
I am frankly at a loss to explain the previous review which did concern me before our stay. There was no dog, but a cat and some kittens and Lucrezia never disturbed us. There is a farm dog that tends the local goats but he never disturbed us and everything is well gated off. Advise using Google Maps using the last street Lucrezia mentions in her directions, not the Vrbo address.
We will be back one day!

Home was absolutely beautiful though it’s more of a guest cottage to a main house directly next door so it’s not as private as the listing made it seem. The pool was also unusable due to a cleanliness issue (murky and green) which was a huge selling point for us to book this property.
Host entered our unit without knocking or announcing- granted she was bringing something in from the rain for us, but regardless she shouldn’t have just let herself in. It made us very uncomfortable.
She also made several passive aggressive comments about us using the AC, as was monitoring our usage daily. We also asked for more toilet paper as the grocery store was closed so we were unable to purchase more & were told no.
We also had an incident with an aggressive farm dog who lives next door to the property- it chased on of us down the street resulting in a bad fall. It was inches from attacking us.
The surround is gorgeous, but overall stay was subpar.

We had an amazing time and couldn’t have asked for a better host, property or location. Walking distance into town, but the house has everything you need to relax at the property with large pool and plenty of outdoor seating options. The views are breathtaking, I’m already looking forward to my next visit!!

We had a fabulous visit at Pianocaldi! The views are priceless! Lucrezia was a fabulous hostess and her property was very comfortable. We had not so good weather so the pool was not something we were able to enjoy, however we look forward to returning and experiencing it then. Panzano is a fabulous little town.

We just spent 2 weeks at Lucrezia’s cottage in Panzano. The property was immaculate and in a beautiful setting overlooking the valley and hills beyond. The view is breathtaking. The cottage itself it tastefully decorated, comfortable, and has a reasonably equipped kitchen where we prepared most of our evening meals. There are three bedrooms, two with ensuite bathrooms. Access to the bathroom from one of the upstairs bedrooms was the only concern for us as we were two couples, all in our 70s and needed to navigate the stairs during the night. The third bedroom is on the main floor and is small, but it does have a bathroom ensuite. We loved the terrace which provided the perfect spot for morning coffee and evening wine.
The village of Panzano is a lovely 2-mile walk. Note that it’s worth going on Sunday for the market which has great produce and other novelty items. The local CoOp grocery store had everything else we needed for our cooking adventures. We even bought fresh cheese from the farmer on the next lane over.
We recommend this property to others who want a cozy cottage with spectacular views and a central location. The parking was convenient and paths easily walkable. We used this spot as our starting place for visits to Florence, Sienna and the countryside in general. Lucrezia was a most delightful host who shared with us some of the property’s history. Our stay was at the end of October and first days of November so we did not use the pool, but it, too, is beautiful and would be wonderful in warmer weather.

Lucrezia’s home is perfect. The location is close to town the views are incredible and the villa is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We were 4 adults in the home and had plenty of room and privacy. We would love to come back one day! Thank you!

There could not be a more charming converted barn to base oneself for touring the Chianti hilltop towns. We must admit however, it was difficult to tear oneself away from the magnificent views. Whether sitting in the comfortable living room, lounging at the lovely pool or enjoying breakfast on the terrace the views will take your breath away. But when we did leave, Florence, Montepulciano, Greve, Certaldo and many others were less than an hour -an hour and half car ride away.
Our hostess Lucrezia, who lives on the property, was most helpful with town and restaurant suggestions and always checked on our well-being without being intrusive. Highly recommend this property for exploring Tuscany!

Beautiful property and location
The Villa was a dream come true for my mother. We went for her 80th birthday. The weather was hot and we enjoyed many days in the pool which is private, soothing and delightful. The town of Panzano is full of friendly shop owners, artists and restaurant staff. We felt like we belonged here all our lives. The villa is a perfect location to explore cute towns in Tuscany and there is even a bus to Florence (one hour from Panzano). The villa has spectacular views and is cute and comfortable. Our host Lucrezia checked in on us to make sure all was well. Highly recommend. One caveat my mother is in excellent physical shape. The villa does have steps including a staircase to two of the bedrooms and a slight hill to the pool. May be challenging for elderly or those with mobility issues.

Idyllic getaway
The property is stunning, beautiful inside and out and very comfortable as well. The views are amazing.
We appreciated the welcome basket Lucrezia left for us with a very nice bottle of wine and some supplies for dinner and breakfast especially since the grocery store was closed Sunday when we arrived.

Excellent property- 5 stars
What a lovely property. Close to town of Panzano- walking distance. This home is special. Our host checked in with us many times and was so sweet to wait for us on checkin even though we were hours late. This is a great location in Tuscany- we were minutes from everything! We loved the villa so much we changed plans often just to sit and enjoy it!

Another amazing stay!
We stayed at this property in August 2020 and loved it so much we booked again for 2021 as soon as we were home!
The villa is beautifully furnished with incredible views and the most amazing pool. It's in a great location, right in the heart of the Chianti region.
Definitely would recommend. As soon as we can return, we will! Thank you Lucrezia for another wonderful week.

Alles in allem absolute Empfehlung!

The Perfect Villa
We had a brilliant stay at this beautiful villa which is located in the most picturesque setting imaginable.
The villa itself looks even better in person that the photos on here, it has been renovated extremely tastefully maintaining the original features whilst being tastefully decorated and furnished. The views are like incredible, the lounge has glass sliding doors where you view the stunning Chianti landscape in panoramic view like a painting. The pool is without doubt the best we've ever experienced, it is large and deep but best of all are the views from it. We travelled as a couple and I'd say the villa was ideal for a couple or a family with children due to it's unique layout.
It is incredibly peaceful, just a short distance outside of Panzano down a private track. We regularly walked in to Panzano which took around 15/20 mins. Strongly recommend a car it is necessary to experience all that this region offers.
The owner was very kind and communications were perfect, checking in and out was easy and she respected our privacy but lives in the adjacent property so always on hand should it be necessary.
Overall we highly recommend this villa for the perfect rural escape holiday. We would definitely love to return!

The house looks just like the photos. It is in amazing setting and the views are wonderful.Lucrezi, the owner is very and helpful and lives in the house behind the villa.Panzano is a 15 minute walk away, but please note a lot of it is a dirt track. The village itself is small with just a couple of restaurants, gelaterias and a few shops. The Sunday market is worth a visit. The main bedroom has a small bathroom and if you're tall it's difficult to stand up straight. The only other downside was that there were only three sunbeds, so as a family of four someone always had the deckchair. All in all though, a lovely villa in a lovely location. Would definitely recommend.

A beautiful cottage and location in Chianti, Tuscany!
We had a lovely one week stay in Lucrezia's spacious and beautiful cottage. The cottage, the private infinity pool, and the panaromic view over the valley and her olive tree grove was spectacular and couldn't be more idyllic. Lucrezia was a very helpful and hospitable host. She gave us good advice for sightseeing and provided a nice welcome basket for us when we arrived so we didn't have to look for a place to eat that evening after our travel. Panzano is a charming and picturesque little town within walking distance from the cottage. The location is very central to both Siena and Florence. In addition to these cities, there are many smaller towns and villages in this scenic area worth a visit. I would highly recommend staying here! Thank you for a fantastic week!

Spacious and private villa in the heart of Tuscany
My husband and I and our two friends stayed in this amazing villa in the heart of Tuscany. The villa was spacious and looks over a beautiful valley. Lucrezia was a gracious and attentive host. She had a basket of goodies and wine for us when we arrived. Everything was neat and clean. The private pool was surrounded by flowers and the views were amazing! The owner checked in on us about once a day to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely come back to this relaxing place again!

Unreal!!
We stayed at Lucrezia’s house for a week. We traveled to Greve, Florence, Montalcino, Lucca and Livorno. The villa is fantastic. We had plenty of room for 5, six would have worked. Unbelievable views, sunsets, daydreaming!!! Lucrezia is a wonderful host!! We visited multiple wineries, shopped for leather goods in Florence and had the time of our lives. I would highly recommend. 5+ stars!!

Beautiful Tuscan Property
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lucrezia's beautiful house in the hills outside of Panzano. The views are spectacular whether you are sitting by the pool, on the patio or in the living room. Our weather was perfect. The house is comfortable and charming - a bit creaky at night - but that just adds to its charm, as it is a converted barn. Three bedrooms and 3 full baths worked perfectly for our family of 5 adults. The location is close enough to town to walk and enjoy dinner, drinks or gelato. We took several day trips - Siena, Volpaia and Greve. We would love to return for another visit. Thank you for a perfect Tuscan holiday!

Idyllic tuscan hillside views
Lucrezia was a fantastic host! The property was a little difficult to find initially (Google maps was not correct), but Lucrezia helped us find the way. She provided us with a welcome basket to get our holiday started. The views from the house are spectacular. The outdoor sitting area with pergola was a lovely place to enjoy morning coffee and the sitting room was perfect to look out upon the view. Day trips to Florence and Sienna were easily managed. Being in the Tuscan hills, they roads are quite curvy, but for us that added to the fun. The house is walkable to Panzano if you care for a bit of a stroll. Delicious food everywhere.

Simply Perfect!
Pictures just don't do the view any justice! And the absolute peacefulness that surrounds you, you'll have a hard time leaving the cottage. You will just want to stay, cook and sip wine all day! From the moment you arrive, Lucrezia is as warm and welcoming as you would hope for. The cottage is nicely tucked away outside of Panzano, a simple walk away, and the views... well you should rent it just for those alone... If you love to drive on curvy winding roads with incredible views, the entire area is for you. We have been to this area of Tuscany a few times and Lucrezia's home just sealed the deal...This was a bucket list trip for my Mom and she couldn't have been any happier. If you love to go out and adventure during the day, have a wonderful lunch, hit the market and cook dinner for you and your guests, this is the spot for you. Thank you again Lucrezia, we will see you again! John

A very special week
We had such a wonderful week in this beautiful cottage. Lucrezia was amazing, as she was away where we arrived, Roberta met us and gave us all the necessary tips we need to know about the village, she even accompanied us to basic shopping stores. We foond in the kitchen basic necessities as water ,pasta, etc. On the dining table we found 2 bottles of wine, and a welcome note. We immediately felt at home. Also prepared for us was a file with all the restaurants and interesting plasesi in the area. The house was clean and very confortable. There was very good a/c to cool and to heat in all the rooms. We were two couples so we used the two double rooms each going separately from different stairs up from the living room, total privacy. But the most extraordinary of all was the breathtaking view, from the pergola where you can have your breakfast, lunch, dinner from the garden where you can have a drink, from the pool where you feel that you are really in a very special place. In addition the village Panzano is just in the middle of the Chianti region and moving around and visiting all towns in Tuscany is easy .
Overall we had a wonderful week and would recommend this cottage to everyone..
I hope we can be back in the near future. Thank you Lucrezia.

Charming Tuscan Home
I, my husband and daughter, and two friends stayed in Lucrezia's charming home recently and loved every minute. It has beautiful views looking over the lovely Tuscan countryside. Lucrezia stocked the kitchen with staples, which were very appreciated and provided new tastes for us. The kitchen was also well stocked with cooking utensils. The house was comfortable. Two bedrooms are accessed only by somewhat narrow stairs, so be aware of mobility issues, but both were also charming. We enjoyed our stay in the home so much that some of us decided to stay home and appreciate the area rather than sightseeing on a couple of days.

Stunning location; well-appointed house; vey friendly and helpful owner.
We stayed at I Pianicaldi in May 2017. Our party consisted of one couple and two friends, and having three bedrooms and three bathrooms was a real treat; the family bathroom is an enormous artistic gem. The comfortable house satisfies every need, oozing relaxation and rest.
This converted barn looks over the Greve Valley and the views, along with the thunderstorms, are stunningly beautiful. In the estate, we sighted 35 bird species over two weeks. The gardens and infinity pool were delightful, as was the short walk into Panzano.
Panzano is a gorgeous little village with quite a lot going on: Sunday market, shops for everything you need, excellent wine bars (enotece) and classy restaurants. It is possible to avoid the famous meatery if you are a vegetarian, as two of our party were. Best of all was the bus that goes to central Florence via Greve, and there is one from Radda to Siena too. We almost didn't need a car, but then we'd have missed the Chianti Sculpture Park, which was an adventure all on its own.
Lucrezia was a charming and obliging host; nothing was too much trouble. Thank you, Lucrezia, for looking after us so well.
