About this apartment rental
Our bright and spacious two, double bedroom apartment is located in a quiet and friendly residential square just minutes away from the picturesque Blackheath village. Located one row back from the heath and traditional English pub, The Princess of Wales, you are perfectly located to explore London and the surrounding areas in Kent. Blackheath is a popular and desirable London village with an excellent choice of restaurants, bars, shops and a farmers market on Sunday.
After 7 minutes walk to the railway station you can be in Trafalgar Square and central London just 20 minutes later! As well as its closeness to Central London it is a 15 minute walk to the beautiful Greenwich Park, home to the Royal Observatory and the Queen's deer, with its panoramic views of London! Just another short walk from here is the centre of Greenwich with its historic buildings, museums, markets and boat trips on the river Thames. Greenwich Peninsula, home to the O2 arena and on the Jubilee Line, is just a short bus ride away from the village too. For corporate users we are within easy reach of the City and Docklands; London Bridge is only 15 minutes away by train and Lewisham is 5 minutes away with its connection to the Docklands Light Railway. London City Airport can be reached by taxi in 25 minutes.
Our clean and cosy maisonette is well equipped with everything you need to enjoy a city stay. It has a TV and DVD, high speed wireless internet connection, washing machine, fridge-freezer and ample cooking facilities. The sleeping arrangements would suit either two couples or a family group. There is a king size bed in bedroom one (which overlooks the communal gardens) and a king size bed in bedroom two, both with egyptian bed linen. We also can provide a single chair-bed (makes a proper single bed), a fold out bed (for a younger child), a travel cot (for older babies/ toddlers) and a crib (for small babies) . All bedroom curtains have blackout linings to ensure it is not too light in the mornings! As the apartment is arranged over two floors we have stair gates if required for you to install. We also have a high chair and a range of child/ baby friendly equipment. Our kitchen and separate, spacious lounge are very comfortable for family dining and relaxation. The lounge includes a small study area and bookcase with an array of books and tour guides.
Families will love this peaceful location close to London with its nearby heath, ideal for kite flying, ball games and cycle/scooter rides. Don't forget to keep your stale bread to feed the ducks and geese at the pond, a minute's walk away! There are parking spaces in the square and we are happy to provide permits at a small cost. We provide Oyster cards which you can top up and use on the trains, buses and underground to travel around London. We also have a picnic rug and balls which you can use on the heath or in Greenwich Park.
Check in and out times are negotiable. (When there are back-to-back bookings check out is 11am and check in is at 3pm.) For longer stays housekeeping can be arranged at an extra cost.
Our kitchen is very well equipped with a wide range of cooking equipment. We provide basics such as salt and pepper, oil and balsamic vinegar as well as washing up liquid!

Quaint perfectly located flat with available parking in a fantastic location. Close to lovely Blackheath village with great restaurants bars and shops and the lovely heath with a duck pond at your doorstep. A short breezy walk to Greenwich park and the close by station made it perfect. Small bathroom but everything was fine. Great host.

Great flat, nice area, easy to get into London. Highly recommend 😁😁

We liked the quietness and semi-rural feel of the location, the local pub was really nice, and the house is a charming retro delight. It takes a while to get into town by public transport or cab/uber from Blackheath, but the bus stop is very close by and it's an easy enough journey. The beds are super comfortable. Claire is a really helpful and communicative host, and is very approachable and kind.
I think Blackheath is a great location, in particular, for visiting the attractions of South London, such as the Maritime Museum, Tate Modern, and the Globe Theatre.

My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in Blackheath. The home is cozy, comfy and location perfect for trips into London, just a short train ride. The neighborhood bakery a must! Claire was very helpful and responsive.

We live in Canada, but my wife is from around this area, so knows it very well. We needed a property close to our family, and this one was perfect. Clean and cosy, and in a perfect location to surrounding areas, trains, buses and Greenwich Park. If the second bed ( in one of the bedrooms had been a little larger (we have 2 adult children) that would have been perfect, Other than that it was just what we were looking for and Clare was on hand to answer any questions we had. We would definitely use the accommodation again.

We have traveled to London several times and this flat is by far the cleanest and quietest place we have stayed. It is cozy, comfortable and clean. Claire was wonderful to work with and checked on us upon arrival and accommodated our early arrival time as well. Her listing does state a separate clothes dryer but there wasn’t one in the flat.

Excellent, comfortable accommodation in a great location. The flat which is very well furnished and equipped, is in a quiet area. Highly suitable for children as well as adults, it is charmingly decorated in a retro style with an incredibly helpful host. We had a most enjoyable stay and would highly recommend it and intend to use it again when visiting South East London.

Our stay was perfect. From the initial booking to the communication and organisation for our stay from Claire, And then the wonderful home that was waiting for us. It was warm welcoming spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. The location was great, we loved Blackheath and enjoyed a drink in the local pub, coffee and cake at Gail’s bakery, dinner at Zero degrees, and we used the cook shop for the night we arrived which was very convenient. The walk past the pond and across the heath and through Greenwich park was lovely. It was so easy to get around too. Great transport links. We visited Blackheath village, Greenwich village, the curry sark, the Royal observatory, the Tower of London and the Abba Arena for Abba voyage. Would love to stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The flat was adorable and comfortable. Easily accessible, we even came into Greenwich using the Uber boat.
If you are there on a Sunday be sure to find the Farmers Market in the village

This is a lovely base from which to explore London. The heath, Greenwich Park and Blackheath Village are all nearby. Buses, trains and water taxis provide a variety of ways to get into central London. The riverside walk from Greenwich to Tower Bridge is 27,000 steps (we did it).The apartment is spotlessly clean and the retro styling is lovely. A lot of thought has gone into making visitors comfortable and Claire (owner) is on hand if you need her. Great stay thanks.

There aren't enough words to describe how much I enjoyed my stay at Claire and Alun's property. It is convenient to transportation. It's a short walk to Greenwich and all the shops and restaurants there. Everything that you would need for your stay is provided and Claire is extremely responsive to any concerns or request I might have. Next time, I am in London. I will be staying here again.

Perfect home base for our family of 4 visiting friends and family from overseas. Immaculately presented, cute three-floor flat with every convenience you could imagine you might need. We immediately felt at home and didn't want to leave! Communication with Claire, the host, was friendly, helpful and comprehensive. She booked us a parking permit, let us extend our stay by a night at short notice, and even left us welcome goodies. Thanks for everything, Claire! We'll be back, I hope.

Lovely clean and well appointed apartment. Claire is an outstanding attentive host. Located in thriving Blackheath Village with many shopping and dining locations nearby. Convenient public transport links into center of London and elsewhere. Will be our first choice if we are able to visit London in the future.

The apartment was very nice and comfortable.
We did not realize that the apartment is on the 1st and second floor of the building, which for Americans is 2nd and 3rd floors.
We enjoyed our stay, and were able to get Ubers or the train to get around. My only complaint is that the bathroom really needs non-slip rugs for the floor and the tub.

Perfect place to stay
This was a great place to stay! Clean, cute, 5 minute walk to the train station, Blackheath was a quaint little town right outside London. It is always a worrisome taking a chance when going to another country, but I'm so glad we chose to stay here. Claire was extremely helpful and it was easy to check-in. Everything was clean and just as described. Beds were incredibly comfortable. 20 minute train ride in to London and lots of places to eat in Blackheath. We loved Gail's bakery down the street! We are already making plans to return. Only one word of caution, the wood on the first floor is really slippery if you are wearing socks! :)

A wonderful stay in Blackheath
This flat was perfect for the three of us. Clean, homey and well equipped with everything you can think of. Claire was attentive to our inquiries and responded promptly. The property is easily located and our arrival went smoothly. The location is handy, a quick commuter train from the heart of London. Lots of great restaurants are close to the flat. Highly recommended. Perfect for 2 couples. We throughly enjoyed our trip and stay in Blackheath. Canadian travellers.

Located in a quiet neighbourhood this 2 storey apartment was very handy for our weekend stay. The accommodation had everything we needed for a pleasant experience. Claire was extremely helpful and attentive throughout via message or email.

Perfect family base
Fantastic little property. 2 large bedrooms, plenty of room for two adults and 3 kids aged 9, 4 and 22months. Everything we needed was already there; sippy cups, stair gates, high chair, potty, child step, toys, books, blackout curtains and even baby sleeping bag and some spare nappies! But all neatly stored out of site if you don’t need it. Beautifully presented, very quiet location but right next to the high st and easy walk to the train station and even fairly quick walk across to Greenwich. Front door is on the street with parking bay directly outside. Can’t fault it!

Claire the owner could not be more helpful and answered messages and calls very promptly.
Delighted when we got in to the property - really beautiful styling - retro kitchen and comfy sofas. Beds very comfortable and bedrooms nice and roomy. Fab location for maritime museum and observatory trip. Great meal at The Ivy which is 200 yds away!! Would def recommend to friends.

Tolle Unterkunft in guter Lage!
Vielen Dank!

A wonderful little flat with everything you are likely to need. A perfect place for my family of four with two small kids. The owners were super helpful and always available to answer any questions. With it being so close to the train station (5min walk) you have great access to a London which is only 4 stops away. The proximity to the common is another plus as kids can run around and let off some steam as well as being a great place for the adults to run and work out. The restaurants are very good to. I’d suggest a visit to The Ivy Cafe. Nice setting just off the common by the church and delicious food.

Lovely house in a great location
We as a small family had a wonderful time at this lovely house. Everything is prepared very well in detail and fits very good for a family of up to 4-5 people.
The area of Greenwich is very clean, calm and thanks to public transportation close to the city center.
Looking forward to come back one day!
Thanks & best regards,
Martin & Family

We had a wonderful stay at this flat in late November. Everything was so well organized, comfortable, and thought out. Claire is an amazing host and communicated so well that we were well prepared for our stay. She was incredibly helpful to us travelling with a toddler for the first time. If you are not familiar with the area, it's a wonderful area of London to stay in. Right in the village of Blackheath, just minutes walk from Greenwich Park, and the River Thames. Access to so many transit options. The perfect mix of being near Central, while in a charming village setting. I wouldn't hesitate to book here. We'll be back!
